I actually listened to the audiobook in David's voice and it was informative and so funny
Love you David! Look forward to reading the book
Very informed.
A breath of fresh air for morning television
Can generally always enjoy segments with Lorraine.
David Mitchell is a living legend. Absolutely hilarious, especially upstart Crowe and of course WOULD I lie. Great show Lorraine, love your accent and smile From Ireland 🇮🇪🏴
Mark Corrigan's dream has finally been realised!
Brilliant! 🇬🇧 🏴 with love from 🇺🇸
Love Upstart Crow, maybe Brit Box or Acorn would be willing to find more? Brilliant writing and acting. Keep up the good work David from another History Major!
Just started the book. Excellent work.
Just started reading my new copy. The book is full of his usual humor. “An exploding rotting corpse.”
I own the audiobook UNRULY and it’s wonderfully funny! It is also full of historical information from the legend of Arthur to Elizabeth 1. Really worth the purchase. I adore British History and I adore David Mitchell’s humour, so this is a Win Win situation for me! ❤🤗🇨🇦
I hope it's as good as Business Secrets of The Pharaohs.
was that published by British London?
The one by Mark Crorigan?
I really hope he does more of these books. I know nothing about Scottish history it would be fascinating.
Brilliant analogy L.A. drug gangs 😂
Just bought Unruly yesterday and excited to dive in. Oh, please bring back Upstart Crow - it's what you do, so well.
It’s a great book 💪
i went to walk my friends dog with him the other week and he brought up how amazing the romans were for building aquaducts that go across long distances of land ><
Its not just a meme, it's a verifiable observation!
3:28 I, IV & V 3 chords and the truth every day!
Thank you
The book is hilarious.
Bullying didn't start with small kingdoms. It started in the caves and on the savannah where the "big guy" got his pick of all the best; nests, mates, food. Then came the medicine man/holy man who, not so big or physically threatening, used everyone's fears to get food and shelter for himself without doing any work. Which franchise has more practicing their ancient tactics of intimidation today? Looking good, Mr. Mitchell. Looking good.
it's actually a good read.
Not a shock that the BBC or savilles enabler to miss a trick on producing a quality tv show,
He looks so much more genuine and real than the clown and clowness sitting on the throne these days.
Oh God, are you one of those people who accuse others of not "keeping it real"?
👏❤
I don't really think about the Roman Empire a lot. To be honest, I'm more likely to think about Nazis. That is another common object of interest for blokes, whatever their political persuasion.
I hope David Mitchell will write a book about Shakespeare's rather fanciful depictions of history (which to be fair were based on the rather fanciful history books of his day).
Don't dare to point your finger to the BBC channel it's a badass quality chanbnel matey, Henry and Wellington were both great guys, sorry to see that anglo saxons had been defeated by the Normans matey
I am disappointed. I thought he was going to announce he was doing a history podcast - that would be so good.
Reading this now. We’ll written and very amusing. You can hear David’s voice as you read
It is one of the times when the audio book is brilliant as its read by him so each line is done the way he intended
