LDARC, please include the plastic case as typical with the other ET's, this is very convenient for carrying it with batteries to the field. I love the ET's architecture, solid! and just waiting for the ET MAX to get all the details ironed out. Definitely, a great size for the Caddx Turtle V2 for cinematic purposes. A while back, I designed a similar size strictly for the Caddx Turtle V2, for filming, not racing. However, this ET Max, can fit a number of appplications and I just love this line's modular, clean and logical approach, the camera well protected is an added bonus.
As a complete NOOB looking to get a first drone (done some rc planes and basic copters in the past)... I don't understand why most drones aren't made this way. It seems very durable and even if you are an expert it would make others more comfortable I would think if you fly near people, knowing it had covered props. I'd like to have something like this but with a lot of features like GPS, AI flying with gyros and proximity sensors for follow me, obstacle avoidance, fly to home and all that good stuff etc.. and a 4k camera on a good gimble on top of whatever cam is easiest to transmit to a FPV setup (720p?). I love the idea of long range too. I often 4wheel deep into the mountains to find obscure camping spots and that would be epic to use for finding things 2 miles away and taking great vids of the scenery. SO... sounds like I am asking too much right? I should probably start with something easy and when good enough at piloting, build it myself... but I really like the exoskeleton design of these things for sure. So much more durable and safe it seems? Do most drones not use them just to save weight (non-trivial in RC flight I know) or is there some other reason?... not to mention they look like those alien ships from independence day a bit haha. Oh gawd.. I have a feeling this is going to become a bigger hobby and money sink than last time I got into RC. You know something is up when every youtube droner is sitting in front of a wall of drones.. not just one or two. May the RC gods have pity on me and my small pocketbook. (⊃д⊂)
Man!! cant wait for a durability test where you guys run into a wall or door at full speed ahead captains, doesn't really matter either or would be epic. Good vid guys.
YEAH ! I WANT ONE ! Forget about the H.D Whoop. It's about time they have a 200mw VTX and they didn't mount it under the battery. This would be a good quad for the park but until the Flight test I can't say if I would get it or not. And a H.D quad I couldn't say.
I still waiting for that 10 minute Mix install on the ET115. I got mine up and flying and it works great. I also upgraded the antenna to a SMA style connector and a stubby Lollipop. I experienced a massive improvement in FPV feed quality. I have some photos of the conversion at the beginning of my latest video if you want to check it out. As for the Max, those motors don't look up to the task. The wires are too small as well. I don't mind the CW/CCW motors and I like the nuts. They look like they can be removed by sticking something through the hole. I wish that KK would give more detailed info(UARTS on the FC) either with the craft or online. I'm running the same stack on the ET115. The flight controllers(F3,F4) look identical but are different internally. You have to change the receiver from UART3 to UART6 in Betaflight.
That is F-ing RAD! I can just imagine all the motor possibilities, and prop possibilities for this quad to make it scream! For consideration, I would lose the reverse threaded motor shaft, as many would want to reverse motor direction. Silicone wired motors a must. The thing about whoops are they really don't have all that much flight stability, because of their size, but this thing is going to be sweet! Extra $15 for some upgrades, like the rxsr harness coming with it, I'm in!

Looks like a competitor to the Blade Scimitar 170, a quad that there's no market for. Cons: - Way over 250 grams with battery. Huge minus considering current demand for lighter quads - Too heavy for a beginner quad. It's likely to cause damage when it hits something - One-piece frame. Works great on the much lighter ET quads, probably won't hold up to beginner use being so much heavier - Requires the space of a standard 5" quad to fly. Can't compete with the large quads, and too big to fly in smaller whoop areas. - LDARC is competing against its own product line. The ET 100/115/125 already fills the large beginner whoop category and is much more beginner friendly. That being said, I admit that I really like the looks of it. But I'd much rather see them make a HD version of one of the current platforms. A sub 250 gram ET 125 that is 3s capable with a HD camera that could hit a competitive price point would be very tempting. Perhaps even a Tiny GT8 HD with F4 FC and betaflight OSD?
