I found out at 23 that I would never have children (I’m 58 now). My husband and I made the decision to do foster care and adopted 4 children. Three girls and a boy. IVF was so new at the time, and we both were OK with not having biological children. We wouldn’t change a thing on our journey. You will figure out which direction feels right to you. ❤️

My husband has male infertility as well and I have issues as well. I did IVF and it worked!!! My son is 14 and he is my miracle. Infertility is devastating and soo hard, it’s a rollercoaster. We struggled with infertility for 9 years before that. Haven’t been able to do IVF since my son because it’s sooo expensive. I’m grateful I have him and he is my life!!

As a woman that does not have children - I would like to say this: I can't wait to see how God works through this or how He will use you both in your lives. This is so painful, but as a senior citizen now, I can see how God has used me (Loving other children) and that brings meaning to so many painful experiences previously in life. Blessings!

Jared and Britt, my husband was recently diagnosed with idiopathic non-obstructive azoospermia with zero sperm in his ejaculate. Like actually zero. None. Our only chance was IVF and for him to undergo a surgical procedure called mTESE to try and retrieve any usable sperm. He had the surgery and it was not successful; they found no sperm. Many people do have success finding sperm and I hope the odds are in your favor. It’s devastating news and I’m sorry that you are going through this. You’re not alone.

Guys, my heart breaks for you.
We also dealt with male factor fertility issues so Jared, I’m especially thinking about you. I worried about my husband a lot throughout everything we went through.
Male factor fertility isn’t talked about a lot, so I’m so proud of you for talking about this.
Answers like this are never easy. You will know what to do when the time is right for you ❤

We are all praying for you both. Please don’t lose hope or your faith. Sending hugs and prayers!

Ohhh Brittney and Jared my heart truly aches for aches for you. I remember sitting on the edge of my bed with my husband and us both sobbing as we found out after 7 1/2 years of infertility, 7 surgeries, my husband having surgery, months and months of clomid, test after test after test and being told I had to have a hysterectomy as the Dr. said I had 6-12 months before I would have ovarian cancer. my heart was crushed, I would never be able to have children of my own something I wanted to experience more than anything with every fiber of my being. We poured our hearts out to our Heavenly Father begging for answers. I can say I truly understand how you are feeling. I was 30 years old when I was wheeled into that operating room telling the Lord I wanted to be a mother and raise His children but it was now in His hands. Britt and Jared I won't go into lengthy detail but a calming spirit came over me like I have never ever felt before and I knew at that moment I had to have this surgery done so I could live a long life and prepare to be a mother. Fast Forward 28 years In January our daughter will be 27, we have a son 22 and the Lord works in mysterious ways and we have a son who is 10. I testify to you the Lord KNOWS the righteous desires of your hearts and He will bless you to be parents. I know how much your hearts ache and my heart aches for you, oh how it aches for you. You will be in my fast for January and you will be in my prayers. I love you both, you are amazing. Sending you lots and lots of hugs!!

Jarod and Britt! Sending huge hugs your way as you are incredibly brave for sharing your journey. I myself have never faced an obstacle like this, but I was adopted at 2 weeks old. Keep reading because I’m NOT going to say you should give up on your dreams for your own baby and adopt!! I was very scared growing up that I would not be able to have children because of my parents infertility issues. Now this was over 50 years ago as I am 51, and so much has changed in the world of medicine. As I cried along with you, I still felt hope for you. I still believe in miracles even through medicine and I would encourage the ivf- and I’m praying that somehow the next news you give has a glimmer of hope. My first grand baby was born in November and my mom and I went to see her ( they live out of state) and for the two days she was there, she held that precious baby and talked to her and would just sit and look at her. Right before she left she walked over to me holding the baby and said, “ I was never able to have my own children, but adopting you made this moment possible and it was all worth it”. I was full of tears, because I could feel the pain and gratefulness all in the same sentence. Don’t give up...we love you!!!

I am so sorry. My husband and I received the same news when we were trying to start our family, so I know exactly how you feel right now. We were told that adoption or a donor were our only options. My husband had been on testosterone supplements for a while, and we learned that was the cause of his zero sperm count. We eventually were able to have two children through IUI cycles. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you navigate this incredibly emotional and difficult journey. Keep the faith and remember that Heavenly Father has a plan for you two.

And being on the other side now, I bare testimony to you both that God is in charge, that He has a plan for you and He loves you very much! With Him, all things are possible even when you wonder how! Having adopted 2 myself I witness to you that while bearing a child under your heart may be preferred ( I can't say) it is miraculous to have a child born from "within" your heart thru prayers of yours, your families, and others. Much love and true empathy from this mama who knows.

Honestly, I don't see why any woman would want to get pregnant. Pregnancy puts a lot of strain on a woman's body, and it is very dangerous, and it has a lot of risks, and a pregnancy lasts 9 months. Also, childbirth is very painful. And also, raising children is very hard.
Personally, I think being childfree would be a lot better than having children.

Not sure why you popped up in my recommended feed but you did. I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We were given less than 1% chance of success with IVF. I clearly remember the office appointment when my doctor dropped the diagnosis bombshell; your emotions resonate so deeply with me.
But we didn’t do IVF. We waited and prayed, a lot. We now have four spontaneously, miraculously conceived kids. I know our story is unusual. But I just wanted to encourage you that there is hope. There’s always hope. 💕

The hardest part of infertility is coming to terms with your priorities and answering the question- What is more important in the final analysis, having the biological connection to a child or simply being a parent to one? We went through this 30 years ago, before infertility was really talked about, before there were so many options, and certainly no social medial support communities. I understand your heartbreak all too well and sincerely hope you find a way to build your family.

My heart goes out to you two. My husband and I went thru this exact same thing, except I had endometriosis and he also had a very low sperm count. So, we decided to go THE IVF route. We did it 3 times and we made perfect embryos. They just wouldn’t attach in my uterus because of the endometriosis. I even had the endo removed thru surgery. This was over 30 years ago and I’m sure drs. have come a long way since then. (But Britt, you have nothing wrong in that category so I feel so good about you guys doing IVF.) We know this had to be God’s plan for us because out of the blue, we received a call from a friend saying they know a girl who is pregnant and wants to give it up for adoption. Everything went so smoothly with the adoption. It was a girl! We Now have 2 grandchildren! God has a plan for you. We know exactly what you’re feeling - so heartbreaking, but don’t give up and try to stay positive it will happen one way or another. Love you guys so much. Xo xo. Kathy and Gary from Indianapolis

Watching your video, it is so similar to our story. We were told the same, in 2002. We did 2 cycles of IVF with ICSI with no positive results. We continued praying and believing for a miracle.
We scheduled our 3rd IVF, and I was not feeling well, and found out I was pregnant! After 5 years! My husband was healed!
We have a letter from Duke fertility that said we had a less than 1% chance of conceiving on our own. Well, we beat those odds!
We had our baby girl in 2005 and a boy in 2006 and another in 2010. ALL in Gods perfect time, not our own, but HE knows better than we do. Don’t lose hope!

I wasn't expecting to have such an emotional response to this, but you can see in your faces how much you want to be parents. You will be parents one day, how you get there just makes the journey even more worth it, and when you do become parents, whether thats through IVF or adoption or surrogacy - that child, or those children, will be so deeply loved. I am keeping you in my thoughts and I hope the journey is smoother for you now you have some answers, even if they werent the answers you were looking for, at least now you know where to go. I adopted 15 years ago. Of course. But.. there are not a lot of kids free from parents and relatives needing families at this moment in time. In past times sadly a lot of kids made legal orphans that were really not. Utah does not have the most respected reputation when it comes to obtaining infants for adoption. I’m a little upset for them it took this long to test him for that having gone down the medical route myself, unsuccessfully.

Hugs and more hugs! I feel like I am watching my own story. I am so sorry you two are going through this. My DH and I struggled for 12 years (mainly because IVF was so expensive). The first round we never made it past the medication portion (I did not respond). So much money down the drain. We ended up moving back to be near my family and when we sold our house in California we were able to put a little $$$ aside. We were blessed with one fertilized egg and we got one miracle son! He is now 15! We call him my BMW!!! His name is Samuel…”for this child I have prayed…!!!!! Praying for you both.

HI there, just wanted you to know that my husband Rich and I went thru 12 years of infertility. We decided to adopt our first son Alex and then 2 years later I was pregnant. Once you have determined the ability to have your baby naturally and if it is difficult, I would highly recommend adoption. We had no idea how wonderful that adoption could be because we were so focused on a biological baby. Remember that God has a plan. We had to have Alex before we could have our second son Erik. When we look back now, they are both in their later twenties and early 30’s, we see God’s plan so clearly. Please don’t rule out that God may want you to go in another direction. My husband were sad that we waited so long to adopt. Adoption is beautiful. Will be praying for you both and your peace and comfort. God bless you.

After lot of prayer and no help from doctors we were able to conceive naturally. My son is now 12 and we had my daughter two years later. God is amazing and all powerful. Praying for God blessing over you and just continue to have faith in him cause he knows best.

🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 A million years ago, my mother had an etopic pregnancy and almost died. She did lose her fallopian tube. Mind you this was close to 75 years ago. My parents wanted children but were told that chances of becoming pregnant naturally were slim to none. Daddy had a very low sperm count and Mama with only fallopian tube. They decided to adopt. I was born 10 months after they got my sister. Three weeks before I was born my parents went to court to legally adopt my sister. So sorry for the very long message. Sending y’all lots of prayers and love. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

My hear breaks for you two. I am so sorry to hear this. Grateful you were able to be surrounded by family when you got this news. God works in mysterious ways, the fact that the clinic in FL didn't work out but the one in Utah happened to have an opening during the 2 weeks you were there and the other specialist making time for you too!! God has great plans for you and your future family. I will continue to pray for you and keep you in my thoughts. Thank you for being so open and vulnerable with us. Watching other couples on RUclips go through their infertility journeys is the only way I have gotten through my own 15 year journey. You are helping so many people by sharing. Sending hugs.❤❤

I think he is whispering..."Be patient a little while longer. I have a most beautiful family planned for you! More incredible than you could have ever wished for!" I also know he has plans "not to harm you, but to prosper you". I am praying that his divine comfort completely FLOODS you both with peace and contentment. Big hugs for you two...and a few extra for Finners! ♥♥♥
