Tsunade's biological age is much older than her chronological age due her regeneration jutsu exhausting the hayflick limit of her cells. It's basically the maximum number of mitotic divisions a cell can undergo. Every time a cell divides its dna gets a little shorter and after enough of them they cannot divide anymore. This is the phenomena behind aging. The upper limit is estimated to be something between 40 and 60 for humans. Hashirama died relatively young for a very similar reason, i.e. abusing regeneration.

BTW, you did not seem to realized why this Futon (Wind Style) Rasenshuriken was so different and special. Naruto cannot normally throw this technique, the reason he is able to do this now is because he mastered Sage jutsu. He is basically maintaining the Rasenshuriken as if he was holding it in his hand, but using natural energy as an extension of his body, just like he did with Frog Kumite against the jutsu absorbing Pain.
I just wanna say that this is not the calmest naruto has been. This is the most revenged filled naruto we have ever seen. I love this arc because naruto finally gets to feel the same pain of losing someone precious to him just like Sasuke has all his life. And so now naruto understands why Sasuke did what he did.

Last arc has crazy high moments but imo it drags on far took long and the shoulda put a cap on Shippuden and broke the last two or three arcs into a separate show entirely. Both Tsunade and Kakashi are after all side characters.
Fax even his fighting style changes after pain arc it actually feels like he's a shinobi like when Omui and Karui investigated them about Sasuke and Naruto was ready for ALL da smoke.
Tendo Pain is meant to be a representation of what Naruto could have been. Two sides of the same coin. There cannot be light without darkness. They have the same hair, both were orphans, same initial dream, same Sensai, and same unwavering belief in themselves, same ability to bring people together and become looked at as an influential figure by those around them, but ended up on different sides of the spectrum. I mean Naruto’s mom has red hair and dad has yellow. Yellow + Red = Orange. Those perceptive enough will understand what Yahiko/Tendo Pain was meant to visually and symbolically represent. This wasn’t an accident he looks and acted so much like Naruto.
This is the arc that made me realize this show was a masterpiece, the growth, the philosophies, the fact that the problems were not simply solved by battle; the similarities between the good and the bad...the children of prophecy clashing over differing views of the same things...just so beautiful

Its not just her original age, her using the Byakugou seal significantly shortens her life span as well, thats what makes her look so old and shriveled

Naruto with Rikudo or incomplete Six paths use fkn ninjutsu on Nagato...knowing he can absorb jutsu. He just play stupid while he is in that form and just take pure advantage of the power without thinking in most of the situations in comparison of sennin mode.
Yea when people talk about powerful characters they tend to bring up feats in combat, but saving thousands of people from getting obliterated is a pretty strong feat. No one that we have seen could come close to doing that.

I like how Naruto and Pain could fight head to head because Tsunade conveniently got sidelined after using up all her chakra protecting the villagers. Nice set up.
Not only Tsunade. Even Kakashi got sidelined. Given how skilled Kakashi is, he should have been able to take down the weaker Paths of Pain. However, he had to fight the strongest ones, Deva and Asura Path, defeated one and almost wrecked the Deva Path but since the Deva Path is the main Path and had to destroy the village and fight Naruto, he had to survive. Both Kakashi and Tsunade are side characters and have to make space so that the protagonist can have his show after all this is actually the first major fight that Naruto has fought so far in the series.
@ThePreator 11 plot dude. If all the ninja had fought with Naruto, then it wouldn't have been Naruto vs Pain. Naruto is the protagonist and this is his first major fight unlike Sasuke who had already fought Orochimaru, Deidara, Itachi and Bee. This is similar to how Naruto was the one who had to come and defeat Kakuzu and Kakashi had to be sidelined.
This is probably the best arc. I still think what comes afterwards is really awesome. A lot of people hate because it gets too long and one specific mini-arc near the end is not very good, but there are still many amazing moments to come until the very end.

Honestly, the problem with Sakura isn't that she doesn't do much. By the end of the series, that's basically everyone who isn't Sasuke or Naruto. It's that she's such a relatively shallow character even compared to side characters, and all of her characterization and depth comes from her relationships with Naruto or Sasuke. Take those two way from the equation, and she has literally nothing.

Definitely would cut at least 50 of them, but yeah the main story is only 300 episodes if I recall correctly. I heard somewhere in an interview that Kishimoto intended to have Tsunade fought Pain in a huge battle head to head in this arc, but it never did because he suddenly wanted this to be the acknowledgement of Naruto's new jutsu and made him a hero But it disappointed me personally, like they should really give time for the Hokage to fight terrorists, just like Hiruzen and Minato defending their village
The thing though is, unless Tsunade can physically reach Pain, she is kinda useless in a fight. It’s better that she uses up all her strength trying to save as many people as possible. That way, we can sort of see a feat that only she is really able to do. She protects the people from the nuke attack while also possibly healing them at the same time. I don’t really remember her using any other jutsu that is not medically or strength enhancement related. She is a pure close combat medic fighter that is like Kabuto but on a higher level. As far I know, the only time she was shown to fight from afar is when Katsuyu spits out acid. This is not to discount her Kage level status. Her physical strength is ridiculous and so is her durability (due to that thing on her forehead) and her expertise in medical techniques. However, she isn’t simply capable to fighting Pain. Her skill set is just simply too specialized in a certain area and her age isn’t helping either. Even Gaara is more capable and able against Pain and he is really only Kage level due to his status as a Kazekage and advantage in the Suna desert. You could say that even though Kakashi is not really Kage level (or at least officially recognized), he is more capable of fighting Pain because he has a more versatile skill set (good at close quarters combat, quick thinking, knows how to use different weapons, and the massive amount of ninjutsu that he knows).

But I mean it is sort of a shock even to a veteran viewer. I mean look at Pervy Sage, he looks relatively young and he’s still jacked lol the way Tsunade ages you’d think she was Chiyo’s age.
Its not just her original age, her using the Byakugou seal significantly shortens her life span as well, thats what makes her look so old and shriveled

While Rikudo is stronger, Sennin is way more badass, everytime naruto is a sennin, apart from his power up, he use his head to win a battle, it happens with pain and the third raikage. Naruto with Rikudo or incomplete Six paths use fkn ninjutsu on Nagato...knowing he can absorb jutsu. He just play stupid while he is in that form and just take pure advantage of the power without thinking in most of the situations in comparison of sennin mode.
Don’t forget Tsunade’s role in this. She literally saved ton of ppl with her Jutsu. Kinda gets overshadowed with the battle between Naruto and Pain.
Yea when people talk about powerful characters they tend to bring up feats in combat, but saving thousands of people from getting obliterated is a pretty strong feat. No one that we have seen could come close to doing that.

Not only Tsunade. Even Kakashi got sidelined. Given how skilled Kakashi is, he should have been able to take down the weaker Paths of Pain. However, he had to fight the strongest ones, Deva and Asura Path, defeated one and almost wrecked the Deva Path but since the Deva Path is the main Path and had to destroy the village and fight Naruto, he had to survive.
Both Kakashi and Tsunade are side characters and have to make space so that the protagonist can have his show after all this is actually the first major fight that Naruto has fought so far in the series.
Not to mention the absence of Hiashi + Neji and Guy.

If all the ninja had fought with Naruto, then it wouldn't have been Naruto vs Pain. Naruto is the protagonist and this is his first major fight unlike Sasuke who had already fought Orochimaru, Deidara, Itachi and Bee. This is similar to how Naruto was the one who had to come and defeat Kakuzu and Kakashi had to be sidelined.
This is probably the best arc. I still think what comes afterwards is really awesome. A lot of people hate because it gets too long and one specific mini-arc near the end is not very good, but there are still many amazing moments to come until the very end.

@@markiss69 The plot becomes a lot more shaky and less believable. We could make a long list of all the things that don't really make sense or are stupid. But I think there are so many great moments that still make it worth it to watch and super enjoyable, for me at least.

Honestly, the problem with Sakura isn't that she doesn't do much. By the end of the series, that's basically everyone who isn't Sasuke or Naruto. It's that she's such a relatively shallow character even compared to side characters, and all of her characterization and depth comes from her relationships with Naruto or Sasuke. Take those two way from the equation, and she has literally nothing.

Definitely would cut at least 50 of them, but yeah the main story is only 300 episodes if I recall correctly. That being said, even if it was 300 in total, I couldn’t see it going past 200 upon my first viewing of the show

I heard somewhere in an interview that Kishimoto intended to have Tsunade fought Pain in a huge battle head to head in this arc, but it never did because he suddenly wanted this to be the acknowledgement of Naruto's new jutsu and made him a hero
But it disappointed me personally, like they should really give time for the Hokage to fight terrorists, just like Hiruzen and Minato defending their village
The thing though is, unless Tsunade can physically reach Pain, she is kinda useless in a fight. It’s better that she uses up all her strength trying to save as many people as possible. That way, we can sort of see a feat that only she is really able to do. She protects the people from the nuke attack while also possibly healing them at the same time.
I don’t really remember her using any other jutsu that is not medically or strength enhancement related. She is a pure close combat medic fighter that is like Kabuto but on a higher level.
As far I know, the only time she was shown to fight from afar is when Katsuyu spits out acid.
This is not to discount her Kage level status. Her physical strength is ridiculous and so is her durability (due to that thing on her forehead) and her expertise in medical techniques. However, she isn’t simply capable to fighting Pain. Her skill set is just simply too specialized in a certain area and her age isn’t helping either.
Even Gaara is more capable and able against Pain and he is really only Kage level due to his status as a Kazekage and advantage in the Suna desert.
You could say that even though Kakashi is not really Kage level (or at least officially recognized), he is more capable of fighting Pain because he has a more versatile skill set (good at close quarters combat, quick thinking, knows how to use different weapons, and the massive amount of ninjutsu that he knows).

V never saw that but it was indirectly implicated that there's sage mode for slugs considering shikotsu forest is a umm sacred region and katsuyu resides there.... In data book tsunade was shown to use 4 elemental releases with yin and yang release.. It's not impossible for her to not know those especially for her status.. And what if tsunade could use 8 gates.. Imagine 8 gates + 100 healings seals.. That's too op.. If kishi had actually planned tsunade vs pain then he must've had something special for her. And tsunade deserved to take revenge from pain as much as naruto did..
