You are absolutely right. Enduro 3 is now the best. Battery, design, etc. No need for speaker and diving. There is no need to make phone calls, the phone must be close to the watch, the watch will only show you a notification and calls can be made via bluetooth headphones. You don't need a metal bottom, plastic is better for satellite signals and also reduces weight. I like the sporty design of the Endura 3.
@@summitforgood try to make some review by mountain bike if you like. Especially about ClimbPro. There is hill profile. But the Route must by first in watches via gpx file. Thats pity its not FreeClimb like in Garmin Edge 840 where is no need to give gpx file to Edge, and the dunction you can watch on live ride.
@@HardRoutine_TOTW I think you’re going to be buzzing and given you’ve already had the large format watch that won’t be an issue. There’s so many new useful features. It’s a big step up. What type of adventures do you normally like to? What is your main hobby? Sportsshoes was very quick. I was surprised that ordering on a Friday afternoon it was there by Saturday morning. Thought it wouldn’t come till Monday. (I promise I’m not affiliated to garmin or sportsshoes 😂)
Great unboxing and looking forward to more future content. I’ve owned every Fenix since the 3 so it was definitely a big decision to move over to the Enduro 3. So far loving the battery life and MIP display which is so much clearer compared to my 7x Solar Sapphire.
That's great to hear that it's a step up from the Fenix 7. I held off for about a year waiting for the Fenix 8 whilst I was under the impression there were no more Enduro's coming! So glad it dropped. I'm so happy with my purchase and could be the money I've saved towards more gear 😂 Hope you continue to enjoy and get the most out of it. My current favourite new feature to me is being able to set up all your data screens in the app rather than the watch. So much quicker and easier! I've also noticed the GPS locks in so much quicker than I was used to on the Fenix 6. Which is handy when you're waiting to start your run in the freezing cold and/or rain!
Great video!! Looking forward to future ones. I’m really considering ordering this. 2 questions if you don’t mind. 1. I have a forerunner 955 and wear it 24/7 including to bed. I’ve never had a 51mm watch. Do you think this will be uncomfortable to sleep with or similar to my 955? 2. Any software bugs that need to be worked out in your watch or is it off to a good start?
Hey Brett! Thanks for watching. I'm glad you liked it. I've not had the Forerunner 955 but I can see it's slightly smaller but not much. I can tell you that I sleep with my Enduro 3 and it only left my wrist yesterday to get its first charge. Other than that I wear it 24/7 with no comfort issues. In relation to software bugs I've noticed there have been a couple of updates within the first few days but the last week there have been none. But before and after these updates I personally have noticed no issues whatsoever. So I'd say it's off to a good start! I've just recorded and edited my next video and will be attempting to add some "B Roll" to show some examples of the screen. So if you want an update on that one hit subscribe ;)
Just received today. MIP screen is definitely clearer than earlier MIP models. I find it much easier to see when I’m driving and glance at the watch with no wrist gesture. No word on the battery yet but it is showing 36 days at factory settings. It’s a larger watch to be sure but I think it will work fine for my needs.
@@TheExumasGuy Thanks for the update. I hated wearing the Epix while driving. The amoled was difficult to see. I had to give it an exaggerated flick of the wrist to see the information. I never remember doing that with the fenix. I think the Enduro 3 is going to be the one I get and hang on to for as long as I can.
@@TheExumasGuy I’m having a great experience with the display so far. One thing to mention is it worth checking out the ascent colours you can have on the display. I’ve gone for a green which lets me see it clearly without the backlight. I’ve also changed the gesture setting to “after sunset” and that seems to work really well. I also noticed that there is still more capacity to increase the brightness if needed.
I'm really thinking of returning my Fenix 8, definitely feeling I pulled the trigger too fast, got what was immediately available, and should have purchased the Enduro 3!
24 hours in and I'm loving the Enduro. I'm so glad of the surprise drop. It's such a big step up from the Fenix 6S Pro. Now as you know I haven't tried the Fenix 8 but if you're not fussed about AMOLED screen, speaker, mic & diving capabilities you may just be better off with the Enduro. I believe it's a touch lighter than the Fenix too. It may not come in a range of aesthetics but IMO I would have chosen this option anyway! I was annoyed that it was saying available but when you went to buy it it was saying 2-3 weeks shipping but a few days later it popped up on Sportsshoes.com and was available for next day. I phoned up twice just to make sure as I thought it was strange that they could get it to you quicker than Garmin could🤣 So, I would probably return it and save yourself some ££££s 😂
@@summitforgood yes I've identified that I don't need the AMOLED, and the speaker is only a gimmick at this point, AND I'm most certainly not a scuba fan. It was probably wise of them to focus on the Fenix 8 release, sell a bunch of those initially as a cash grab,, and then on the back end slowly release the Enduro 3, once people figure it's really all they need and opt for the Enduro over the Fenix.
I guess the main thing you will notice is no LED but for me it's something I'm not worried about. If you want to get a screen thats as close to apple watch then it will have to be the fenix. But if you're happy with a good enough screen, enhanced battery life, the same user interface, saving a few quid and you don't mind something that's 4mm bigger then it would have to be the Enduro 3.
Congrats on your first video :) Next time don't mirror the video, looks a bit weird. And you should get a mic if you plan to make more content. Anyways, you look very happy - I'm might just order one E3 my self just to get that happy face, LOL. (Kidding, I already have one on order)
Thank you! The mirroring wasn't an option I selected so I wasn't aware it was doing. Possibly something that happens when using the front-facing camera on my phone. I'll look into for next time. Hope you enjoy yours when it arrives 👍
Apologies for my poor video work. I can confirm the Enduro 3 is a big step up from the Fenix 6. In my next video I will be mentioning that. Personally I think it's more than enough.
@@summitforgood Right on. I subbed. I’m really interested in your thoughts of the watch. I currently own an Apple Watch Ultra but I’m looking to get a Garmin again. I had experience with a Fenix 7x and Epix. Hopefully, it’s not too much to ask but a side by side comparison of the screen of the 6 and enduro 3 would be amazing. I was frustrated with the screen of the 7x being “foggy” and the Epix wasn’t bright enough in direct sun and I had to give an exaggerated gesture to get amoled screen to brighten up.
