The midcourse is there to prevent too-strong G forces in the second double helix, but due to the decreased speed the helix is really forceful, especially in the heat.
That first helix seemed very forceful as well!
That trim absolutely killed it
This is the best rollercoaster ive ever ridden, its intense and pulls some mad G force, people were blackn out on it when it first opened up. Prolly why they put that mid break in there lol

That midcourse is a total buzzkill...
i rode it before they slowed it down and you fully black out in the lower helix which would pull probably 5 Gs
Can confirm. I've almost blacked out as well.

Rode the Titan when it first opened. What a thrill. Specially, going down the first hill. Feels like you are floating.
The first half looks fun, but I'm not a fan of mid-course brake runs. They're such a buzzkill, especially when they bring the train to a complete stop like this 😒
It’s for safety or people would black out so it is necessary
Actually, it's pretty cool if you're up front on the left.. you're really hanging over the ground but it's not uncomfortable. It's more of an anticipation brake run than a practical one because they don't need to slow you to a stop. It was a badge of honor to my kids and their friends when they felt comfortable enough to sit on the left side because of that brake run.

WHY IS IT SO INCREDIBLY SMOOTH
Lol I went here having zero clue what I was getting myself into. First I rode Texas Giant. I honestly thought I was going to die on that ride. Immediately after I rode this in the back row with a guy from Ohio, having zero clue it was the tallest drop in Texas. 😂 By the end of the night I found myself in the 40 story tall swing that I promised myself I would never go on when I saw it. Funny what adrenaline can do to a person. 😮

They really need to work on the view experience of this ride. Coming into and through that second drop and view is just a damn junk yard. LOL.
I talked to them about it and told them what you said and they said close your eyes and scream like everyone else.
I first rode the titan when I was 10 years old! It was so much fun and I still love it to this day! It drops at 255 feet!

I watch a video of Goliath vs Titan. Titan’s lift hill is faster. It does have additional helix. And it’s taller.

I won (radio station contest) the opportunity to ride this before it opened to the public. The first half of the ride is one of the best coaster experiences I've ever had but the 2nd half really let me down.
That corkscrew made my vision turn dark due to the amount of G-force

Now that’s what a call a drop. And this ride had two good drops. The best rides are the ones with regular sit down cars. When it has any other sitting position it’s usually overrated.

did in it's first year before that brake section was added, or overtuned as it is now. blackout on the 2nd helix section
Wish it had more airtime hills and less helixes.
Titan is sooo frustrating. That drop IS amazing, and when it comes out of that first turn it's flying. The airtime is tremendous! Then.....it hits the helix and comes to an almost complete stop. Sigh. All momentum is lost as it sadly plays out the string with some lame banks and turns. It's almost as if the designer got bored after the first half and decided to just end it. Sigh.

Why do all coasters these days seem to have a slowdown/stop mode mid-way through the ride?
They had to add that to slow it down, it was going too fast through the helix and people were passing out.

Best ride at this park is *Reverse Mr Freeze* (they now have it running forward 😡) followed by Texas Giant. Titan is only a big first drop n that’s it. Been dying for a new coaster for years. Seems like everybody else upgrades while SFOT just adds lame carnival rides.
I guess we aren’t going to talk about Aquaman. (And Mr. Freeze runs both forwards and backwards)
