    I always say pull and test the fuse cause they can blow deep in the side.

    Thanks for the reminder. And some of the fuses are hot when the game is off but still plugged into the wall. Ouch!

    I feel like the important question is why did it blow.

      I lose a few fuses a year for no apparent reason. Perhaps age? Maybe they're the original fuses? Vibration maybe? Don't know. I replace them and they don't blow again.
      If they do blow again, then I dig deeper.
      With this fuse, I replaced it and it is still chugging along. Hasn't blown again.

    SEVEN"S PINBALLORAMA, Why do pinball games use a combination of Slow Blow and Fast Blow Fuses?

    • @SevensPinballorama
      @SevensPinballorama  Месяц назад

      Safety for the circuit they're running. Some times you want things to pop right away. Other things can handle a little power fluctuation.

      @@SevensPinballorama But how do you know if a circuit can handle power fluctuations which would take a Slow blow? The Fast Blow circuits can't handle power fluctuations for what reasons?

      @@SevensPinballorama It doesn't say in the pinball game service manuals what "determines a circuit" to use a slow blow or fast blow fuse, which the designers choose to use a slow blow compared to using a fast blow or vise versa for reasons

      Sorry. I misunderstood. I thought you meant in general why use one over the other.
      For replacing the fuse in a game, the manual should tell you if it's slow or fast blow.
