Just started practicing last night with this pairing and yeah I see the possibilities 40% for one kameo call in and oki pressure with the teleport. And it gives reptile an option against zoning
You're severely underrating Sareena. I've said this on roofelmongers video as well the problem with her isn't when you use her in blockstrings cause that's not her goal or her strong point. The problem with the blades is that theu recover instantly and return even when you block them or duck under them or even if you hit Sareena. Because of how they work if you throw the blades when the enemy is out of what you could call the poke or sweep range it's completely unpublishable and it's also giving you a blockstring for free many times cause you csn actually move before the final hit of the blades. Not to mention you can combo off of the blades anywhere on screen with a large part of the cast
@@DorkLord69we don't. we've just moved on and learned how to deal with her. Air combos are a thing lol. If you can't dodge them and avoid the punish then take the combat to the skies. Mileena, Rain, Sindel, Scorpion, etc.

I just treat them like a high projectile when they thrown in neutral. I play Ashrah If someone throws them on block I can use her DP to launch them into full combo before the blades come back, maybe other character can do that, ir characters with teleports? I dont really remember which characters have a DP. Though they are very, VERY good just throwing out in neutral though. Probably gonna get nerfed tbh. They are a pretty low risk high reward tool.
I find double Scorpions is good for fighting raiden players since they're so rushdown, use Kameo pull away and then try and keep a stable distance to give advantage to Scorpions F2
I don't think any of the kameos need big nerfs. Just make Jax stomp cost 2 bars, Sareena double boomerang daggers (with a compensation meter burn drain buff), Cyrax's horizontal spin should cost 2 bars. (Maybe buff the damage a tiny bit) Goro being in S seems a little insane. While I do think he is insanely strong on paper, he has way longer cooldowns. I think other kameos should probably have similar cds to him. Kung Lao isn't being used too much but once people realize how useful his hat is, I can see him going up tiers. His hat is a good way to get high projectiles to jail and it has literally no cooldown. It recharges absurdly fast. Scorpion should probably be S as well. His combo extension is oddly unique in how anti-gravity it is. The spear pull will probably become more and more useful as the game goes on.
Scorp is insanely strong. I play Raiden mostly and I still get 53% combos just like Jax. But unlike Jax, I also get the spear for chip damage safety on 2421 and an overhead with the same spacing as f4 which gives me a strong mix up game at 2 different ranges.
I would be sad about that Jax change as his ground pound is so useful for me to get in on Li Mei, granted I ain't using him like the good players who can abuse it
I use liu with scorpion and can get 45 with no meteor mid screen. In the corner I can get 56 with 2 bars and 1 cameo. Plus the overhead makes ppl guess and catches them off guard
Sareena’s meter drain denies the opponent breaking. It’s extremely powerful. Most Sareena’s don’t play her properly. She’s S. Good players won’t through her knives on block.
As a pretty bad player, I am playing Li Mei/Jax because of all the strings I can turn into combos with him. Fun thing about playing other bad characters, they keep picking Cyrax and never using him. After watching high level play, I am so thankful for that
I think Shujinko needs to be bumped up a tier, the only thing stopping him is that once he fully charged he becomes a summon kameo which is smart because if he was an ambush kameo he would be legitimately a broken character
Sareena is A+ Sareena isn't just a combo extension she also brings Good zoneing and and reversel for pretty much every string With a gap and also good easy Meter drain on ur throw and Block strings
Bro I totally agree. Striker def a slept on everything you said is so true. He literally allows you to play straight yolo. You can do something that’s -100 and even if that go for a down 1 and they get hit by the nade, you still get a full combo punish.
Keeping Frame Advantage is MK1's meta and I think Motaro enhances that in Neutral for all S tiers similar to how kano was the best kameo character in the beta because he always allowed players to keep frame advantage. I think Motaro's slept on because people think the teleport which is his flashiest move has very few use applications he's the perfect kameo for a rushdown character like johnny cage who may get zoned out end game or mid game ... the fact he can just walk you down whilst reflecting everything you throw and allow your charcter to either chip them back or re-establish frame adavantage was just too good it blew the developers minds and said we have to nerf your characters health to allow this guy to exist with the rest of these guys.. He's not yet being used much online but his time will certainly come.. Just you wait ..
Am I cheap for using Scorpion with Smoke? I use Scorpion mostly as an extra overhead mix up opportunity. With Smoke... probably the mix up king. And that overhead is a also a combo starter. In a combo I don't use his fire as it seems to affect damage scaling a lot.

Frost is great, freezing your opponent while you can preform a kombo if you have low health or want to finish a round quick. With Johnny she’s also great for the hype meter.
Kameo Kung Lao is really good if you're playing Liu Kang or Kung Lao. I should know, I'm a Kung Lao main. However, his teleport is extremely punishable unless you doing the throw set-up with Liu Kang, and I never use his hat spin launch. With Kung Lao, it doesn't come out fast enough to get continue a combo, using it as a wake up option is pointless, it's just not very good and needs some form of a buff.
As a motaro player I fully agree that he isn’t super amazing. You can use him as a great zoning partner with Raiden when you use turret you can full charge raidens projectile
Kung loa could hit meterless %48 dmg corner combo while using scorpion kameo once and smoke could hit meterless %47 dmg from anywhere while using scorpion twice

The reason why Serena needs a nerf is cos she does initiate a combo, a combo on the ground which means all the other kameo's who juggle in the air like Sonya or scorpion can only juggle you a limited amount of times. Serena doesn't shorten your combo. It can also be used as a zoning tool. And even crazier it boomerangs and comes back full screen... so if you punish effectively you can't dream of standing up any time soon before the boomerangs return. If you teleport the opponent into another part of the stage the boomerangs always travel they don't dissipate.. it's ridiculous. I don't understand how she isn't top tier in this list.
Because her knives are easy to avoid for most characters, if at a distance you just neutral duck and if close you low poke or use a low special move, or even a low string if you’re Raiden. Her knives are not what makes her strong, its honestly her ritual, that negates breaker
sarenas projectile can be used as a whiff punish on reads as well as hit confirm for extensive damage. Don't be fooled by players that just throw it out there. When it's used wisely it can still be a problem to the roster

Sereena keeps them grounded and no other kameo can do that, goros throw, Sonya's projectile, scorpions fire spit, they all turn a 300 damage combo into like 310.. sereena can turn a combo from 300 to 380 or 400
Its interesting to see sonya so high up. I was under the impression that scorpion was pretty much a better version of sonya because he can extend air combos like she can (even though it isn't as easy) and he has the overhead for mix as well as the armored escape. While sonya does have a good projectile, the leg grab feels kind of redundant to me when most characters already have launchers. That being said I do think goro is a better version of scorpion
Well, she has quite a cheap edge compared to other kameos. Her grab deals 14% while most do 11% and a couple others do 12%, and this is quite practical, if both you and your opponent are low health and they're being defensive, that RKO can be a huge advantage
I was very surprised when i found out that Sareena was being used a lot online. I play the most with my brother offline, and we just play with our fav characters, and since Sareena is my fav kameo since she was announced, i just use her with my main Scorpion, since day 1. That's funny to me
Lao is rated severely too low. It's easily one of the best assists, it controls neutral, is always plus, sets up hard to blockables, sets up meaty lows, can armor break. At the highest level its arguably the best or top 3.

If fun was the only determining factor Shujinko is S++ tier, so many wild combo routes once you get used to having different moves for every match up

Cyrax horizontal spin and vertical spin have a random element to it so if you use it as a combo ender you may get screwed and loose advantage...

I'm a Sindel main. top 500 on PC. Imo Motaro is Sindel's best Kameo. I've gotten 4th and 2nd in two tournaments with Sindel/Motaro.

I've had some fun with cyrax with his net and sometimes his vertical vortex works but I just love his black and white color pallet
I main reptile with shujinko and it’s a struggle but it’s so fun. When I win against a good player with the team I feel so rewarded.

You can combo scorpions flames with the sector missile if you time it right
F21 hit kameo and 1 at the same time then cancel to ground flames. It can be looped twice then F21 spear into full combo
