This looks interesting. I had forgotten all about these rules. I remember forum posts discussing these many years ago. It will be interesting to see how they play. :)
My club in Canada has been playing this since release. A member worked with Arty on creating a proper Renaissance edition. I can probably get you that document if you want it. The game is okay, I find, not my favourite. But we can play a large game with 3 players a side in a 3 hour evening meet.
@@ZenMiniPainting wow, that’s awesome. I’d be interested in that Renaissance supplement. I got the Advanced Armati book in the mail today and it does have some additional rules for the Thirty Years War and English Civil War but nothing for the late fifteenth and sixteenth centuries
@@Corvinuswargaming1444 yes, so I belong to the White Rock Gamers in Canada, and they helped develop Shako II with Arty. One of our number wrote the Battles for Empire rules, and worked on a proper Renaissance version, we played it recently, ECW, and it plays well and fast. With our large group, we need games that are intuitive and quick, and can accommodate 3 players a side, minimum. Armani is good in that you can play largely off the QRS. I don't even own a set of the rules, and I play without issue, just using the QRS.
looks nice, i like all the different army lists so you can kinda play with whatever you have
A classic! I've always wanted to try these, thank you for posting this.
Going to try and get a basic game up on the channel soon
I love these “old” rule books. 1994 was just a few years ago for me…
@@thomaswilliams5005 I like them too

@@tolemykus4805 My collection isn’t quite based up to what the rules say I don’t think but I don’t think it should be too difficult to adjust things
Looks interesting, I would love to see you play it on the channel
@@mitchsminis thanks Mitch, I’ll try and get an intro sized game up soon
