Can't wait for final shape's raid where the Witness' dps phase is 3 minutes long and it is just them floating stationary in the air while 12 guardians plink plonk them with 70 Whisper of the worm rounds
Ah yes the obligatory “bitch about the content before we even get it” comment that gets 100s of upvotes. Considering the last 2 bosses don’t stand still for shit and people complain they actually move too much, why assume this one will sit completely stationary?
NGL I havent even really noticed the nerf at least with the rockets, the gl I have noticed but I didn't really use the GL that much. I believe a lot of people have but I play strand titan and I dont really use my primary that much compared to my special or just punching things.
@@RhapsodicXStyle07 yeah I don't and wouldn't use it in endgame tier stuff, but it still puts in a lot of work. You can feel the damage drop of the grenade shots, but it was doing crazy damage pre-nerf for a primary exotic with next to no prepwork for the big boy shots
1K voices doesn’t need controlled demolition. It needs something much more creative and cooler. My idea is this: make it so that holding down the trigger while it’s unleashing its beam allows the beam to keep firing and consuming ammo until it runs out. Massive giga laser of death pls Bungo
I'm still using it because it's still a strand exotic. That extra damage plus 3.0 synergy cannot be overlooked.Yet everyone regarding this nerf is completely overlooking the one thing that makes it phenomenal still which was untouched.
Final Warning has been my favorite strand exotic for a while. That thing has insane dps for and primary weapon. And just free unraveling. It's extra good this season with artifact mods.
I think a cool idea for a 1K voices catalyst would be stuffing all your ammo into a single higher damage longer beam that gets more powerful the longer the beam lasts, kinda like a heavy trace rifle
A very simple catalyst for 1k would just be "your solar ignitions increase the damage and charge speed of your next 1k shot" (no buff timer, procs while stowed). This gives the same benefits as a controlled burst perk (since you need to hit all ticks for the ignite anyway) but also makes it useful for stop and go gameplay like nightfalls etc where you creating ignitions from other sources.
I'm happy for the flinch change. I honestly haven't enjoyed PVP in a long time because of it. It wasn't the idea of flinch that bothered me. It's just how severe it could be
It’s still so strong. People are definitely over reacting a bit. It’s still so strong. That being said Final Warning just became an even stronger choice than it already was. That thing is nuts. Highest dps of any exotic primary in the game, free unraveling, and with horse shuttle in the artifact this season it’s even stronger than normal. It’s so good. But I get why people don’t like it. It takes some getting used to.
As a warlock main running 1k, My rotation for doing crazy amounts of dmg for a dps phase is casting well, throw 5 fusions and celestials, then unload all 12 1k shots. also noticed gathering a heavy brick w solar scav on gives 4 ammo everytime for a better ammo economy in trade for a mod slot.
In my opinion 1000 Voices needs a damage buff with a catalyst that speeds up its rate of fire so you can get more beams shot quicker. P.S. When it comes to The Last Word you have to fight in shotgun ranch which can make it annoying to use sometimes, I know in trials people have special ammo all the time now so i feel at least for trials The Last Word is not the best choice.
Whisper actually generates 1 bullet from thin air with every 3 shots you hit. So actually the number of rounds you fire with field prep is 41, and the total damage is around 4,000,000.
One of the people in my clan said this day 1 of Trials this weekend: "Just as an FYI. New ammo crates in trials do not split ammo when using 2 x special weapons. You get full ammo for both. Wanna use 2 snipers? Go for it. Double trace? Sure thing. Waveframe GL + forerunner? Yessir." I personally felt the effects of that because it felt like every game had a forerunner user lmaoo
My duo and I dealt with nonstop Forerunners from 2 if not 3 enemy players for our entire session last night. He hopped off and I solo queued and they disappeared
The thing people are missing is bungie has given us black hammer and black hammer but exotic both with uncapped white nail 3 times and every time it kinda shifted people's mindset in a way where whisper was the only dps option especially with stuff like div and bungie is trying to avoid that again. The people who were around for the rough lfg times ("must have fatebringer, black hammer, and Ghorn or kick") understand the most. You can make the argument that if bungie stops building bosses around: pop well, pop tether + Div, use crit heavy weapons for a long dps phase whisper won't be an issue and they've kinda been doing this with bosses that more reward rockets, lmgs, special swapping, and some swords but the bottom line is the pve dps sandbox is pretty nuanced and at the end of the day most bosses will continue to be deleted by stuff like old shoulder charge combos which got replaced by banner of war shotty combos. As much as people will complain that bungie puts titans in a box they have some of the most effective builds all across the game and some of the more fun aspect, fragment, and exotic combinations if you aren't a meta slave and titan is by FAR my least played class. At the end of the day dps phases are as hard as we make them, there will be the easy to setup stuff then theres the madmen who will figure out the math of the weirdest dps setup ever and quadruple everyone elses damage but until they fix the damage leaching of stuff like dragons breath, 1k voices, throwable pole dancer, ect. you'll continue to see the same old dps options although we have ALOT of dps options now which is a good thing. I mean theres technically no wrong way to dps the current dungeon final boss but you're a madman if you're trying to do something like 4th horseman 😂😂😂
I just think raid exotics just need to be in a class of their own in certain fields. So far 1K and Eyes just get beat out by better options that don't need a raid to get. They could fix eyes with just a perk change not needing a kill to proc and 1k needs dmg or a support catalyst.
As far as Whisper goes, Warlord's ruin comes to mind if you're all grouped together. It's a prolonged engagement with multiple smaller damage phases, so having all those shots plus whatever heavy drops along the way can probably put in some work. Assuming a god roll LFR doesn't do more work anyway.
What automaticaly came on my mind when seen the reduced effect of "dissorienting grenades", if the "concussion grenades" falls under same, or better, if they are coded as same in the game or not. Cause yes, still holding the Lingering Dread from before this perk was removed.
Thank you for the explosive payload comparison although supposedly explosive isn’t doing as much damage anymore even though it three taps. Saw a lot of posts on Reddit
1k actually did kinda get a damage buff, since the whole ignition damage bug was fixed. Now when radiant or in a well, the ignitions roughly tripled in damage compared to before and it's quite decent now as long as nobody else is making use of ignitions.
I haven't taken Whisper of the Worm off since I crafted it. It melts Onslaught bosses. Was able to carry a pair of level 6 Guardians to level 41 by more or less soloing the bosses. I'd Well at the back of the room crouch down and start plinking the bosses. Also to note I've been using Sanguine Alchemy ❤❤❤ O if you wondering I switch to Salvation's Grip for Ad clear
Firstly on console I haven’t noticed a change in the flinch at all, secondly bows in general but specifically lightweights require more accuracy than hand cannons on console, the damage buff changes nothing when the arrow misses unless the scope is directly in the middle of the enemies head
You can 3 tap again with explosive payload however it currently hurts your damage falloff. You are still doing around 5% less damage overall, you can literally 3 tap further without the perk. You are essentially now trading extra flinch for slightly worse range. I did some basic testing, I used a fatebringer with double perks and explosive payload. Got 3 headshots without a kill, swapped the perk without moving and got the kill. Not a fan, I don't think it should extend your 3tap range at all since it adds flinch but I don't believe it should hurt it like it currently does.
What would be cool is having both the group doing 3 things at one group has to snipe eyes to keep the boss shields down while the others go in with shotgun and or swords to do make dps and relic holder to cleans the other two
Anyone looking for something to replace quicksilver should really really give Final Warning a try. I know it's not super popular because it takes some getting used to in order to master. But it has the best dps of any exotic primary in the game. It's so good. I love that thing. Quicksilver is still very good and also a Rufus' Fury can take it's place and hold it's own with a rewind rounds/target lock roll. But yeah I highly suggest Final Warning. That thing is nutty. Very strong.
Rapid fire pulses definitely feel better. Scalar potential put in a lot of work this past weekend in trials and it won me a lot of fights 2v1. That's one reason I love rapid fire pulses it fires fast
I think Id like to craft whisper with field prep so I can use those spots taken by reserve mods for something else and make the build more potent. Loss of 2 ammo reserve is easier worth a more potent build IMO.
For everyone who doesn’t know, Bungie already changed the magnificent howl perk on the OG Lunas & Not Forgotten. They can now two tap players inside of PvP if you get two precision kills without missing a headshot
Tbh, with the reserve buff, 1k voices would be a good weapon if it just got a catalyst that helps its damage / dps. Unironically, just giving it Controlled Burst would be enough. edit: On the topic of catalyst. Where's Last Word's?!
Good 1k voices catalyst would just be if the laser could be expended continuously and you could blow your whole load, reload and blow it all again. Just dump all of it. Like the sidearm laser
Maybe a good catalyst for 1K would be something along the lines of dragonfly or sunshot, where the explosion can chain to surrounding enemies and make them explode 🤷♂️
Last word buff was not need considering that faster firing weapons are supposed to have less impact. 3 crit is a 0.53 ttk. 4 tap is 0.70 which is faster than smgs and the same as sidearms so being a 4 crit is perfect considering the rpm is 225
I can imagine that in on level content you might run into some issues getting those rockets off on low tier enemies but in anything slightly above level it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.
I want it to be buffed. Have the mini rockets trigger after 8 shots, and let us have 6 total quicksilver grenades in the reserves. Remove the nerf to blast damage, and increase impact damage by 10%.
Honestly, ive been running an arc warlock with chromatic fire, last word and indebted kindness in PvE. I read "increasing the number of shots per grenade by 50%" and somehow came to the conclusion that "it'll take 50% of the mag to get a grenade", which is an absurd conclusion. as long as it still has 3 grenades per mag i think i'll still be using it
Triple tap would’ve been cool on whisper that way instead of taking 2 from reserves and 1 from thin air it would take 1 from reserves and 2 out of thin air
I wish they would stop nerfing good weapons to bring them down in line with others and rather just, I dont know, make absolute shite weapons actually on par with the good weapons. It's OK that Lion can't one hit kill, it's always been designed (including catalyst) to be a shoot n swap weapon. This boost will make clean ups that much easier.

so in other words bungie made quick silver storm as weak as it was before light fall
I feel the winds of change on D2 hype
If 1 thousand voices got a controlled burst Catalyst it’d be nice
Why was I getting 15 shots with 1KV when I tested on day one? It went up to 16 with a reserve mod. Shouldn't the reserves be 11 + 4 in the mag?
You're doing God's work.
As a Warlock, Quicksilver Storm grenade nerf won't affect me much cuz i don't hardly use it. Me like Strand, Call & Mindspun with Shackles for trance, Thread of Rebirth, Evolution, Generation, Mind & Quicksilver Storm catalyst finished.
It's OK that Lion can't one hit kill, it's always been designed (including catalyst) to be a shoot n swap weapon. This boost will make clean ups that much easier.
Thank you Aztecross!!!!
1. I still say The Witness or other bosses in TFS raid are going to be coded as constructs and deconstruct is gunna be huge for certain encounter 2. I’ve been able to get Whisper to hold 33 rounds 👀
bro i remember titan with lion rampant and mountaintop in crucible, those were the days of terror
Quicksilver never needed a nerf in the first place. And they nerfed tlit way too hard. They truly have no idea what they are doing.
Quicksilver has been op as hell lol. But yea i’m more likely to use rufus fury now
@thebhoy8561 primary exotics have to be that strong, otherwise there would never be a reason to use them.
@@FlashesSoccer011 it’s still very strong just like strand titan is still very strong after the nerf
So, I'm a bit confused, are they basically making it so the PvP sandbox changes are moot with all the damage upping?
You're a legend for gathering this data for us all so we can see how all those word salad numbers actually effect the game.
As soon as i saw the gl changes in pvp, i said to myself to not touch crucible again 😅
