I have wanted to get into 5 inch gauge steam for a while. Because of your videos, I bought my lad a Simplex loco. Cannot wait to start touring lines with it.
Nice to see and compare these different locations and great fun running on them too. Not sure if I understand your explanation as to what causes the Loco wheels to be out of balance. ? Icertainly know absolutely nothing of any value but I've never seen this problem before. Perhaps I have seen it, but am far too clueless to recognize it as a problem. Thanks for the interesting and entertaining video cheers Paul
I'm not sure which part of the motion and wheels are causing this bouncing. It only happens at 6 mph with the engine's being smooth at other speeds. I've put a larger lead weight on the main driver that might have help a bit. I'll keep pondering it.
Very nice. Joan is a little more livley than I remember from your older videos.....? The gas loco is looking VERY smart I must say, suits it. Though I do miss the old paint job a little.
An engine needs more draught to burn anthracite. If the engine's just pulling one person you probably need the blower but I'd recommend you check for any air leaks in the smoke box especially the door, the alignment of the blast pipe and maybe even reduce the blast nozzle a bit.
Many locos for sale have problems and don't run well out of the box so you will have find the skills to fix them. Join your local model engineering club and ask the members, they'll be only to pleased to help.
"I hope no nut falls off, including me."
That was pretty funny
Your engine is honetly adorble and stunning, and also seems to live up to your surname!
Cracking video pal, thanks for directing me here from your other video 😊

Good for you.
I love your videos and your thoughtful editing, quality RUclips!
Great to see you steaming!! Lots more room to get moving than your figure 8 in Portsmouth!! ❤
I missed seeing you with these 7.5 locos, always a good time.

The old paint did have some charm to it.
Lovely! I would be in heaven in any of those locations! Great video!
Great video. I wish I had my own steam locomotive !!
What a great insight into some great tracks. Anytime you're over Brighton way you'd be welcome at Hove Park Railway.
Thanks!
I'm pleased you enjoyed it and thanks for the contribution.
Is the Briggs & Stratton engine on the gas mechanical a holdover from New Hampshire as well?
You're right. Well observed.
Awesome filming and presentation almost as good as driving one of those steam engines.
Fantastic 👍🏻
Brilliant as always
Fabulous coverage thanks (As always) 👍
We like driving the loco around CoateWater, one of the best tracks in the UK. I’ve taken a full lap video from the Holmside on my channel as well.
Took a look at your videos nice loco and interesting track at Frimley Lodge. I'd like to come a visit in the summer.
Quick question. My Speedy almost always needs the blower on quite high with anthracite. Is yours similar?

0:23, That almost sounds like Thomas's whistle.
Where would someone obtain a small locomotive if there getting into them?

Fascinating! Have you ever participated in an IMLEC?
It would be fun to do IMLEC when it's closer to home.
