Could this be the loudest Harley-Davidson Iron 883 in the UK? Watch this Customised Bobber, riding through the streets of the old town, Uppingham.
This customised motorbike (by SYC Kustoms) is known as The Black Prince, and was made as a custom show bike, as part of the Battle Of The Kings, custom Harley-Davidson competition, which dealerships throughout the world participate in.
So many “men” in the comment sections complaining about the sound and ruining the “quality of life of those around you”. Only thing y’all are ruining is the reputation of British men for being a bunch of softies.

Being a grown up man and all, i actually realized a long time ago that in order to ride your bike for a significan amount of time and still be able to hear afterwards, you actually need a decent muffler.
Oh, and as a plus, you wont really look like a fkn idiot clown while passing in urban areas.

My iron is louder lol but nothing better than hittin the road being the loudest in my opinion is more safer than having a bone stock quiet bike been in few situations where my pipes have saved my life from dodgy cages on there phones!!!

@@MrDarcy-OlMan 😂😂 no wonder. I just got back from the dealership and sat on one. I'm 5'4. Felt just right. Was actually comfortable. I ride supersports and my buddies Harley felt weird with my feet all the way forward but the 883 wasn't bad at all. Will be heading back tomorrow to negotiate. Might be coming home with another bike.

Sportsters are, to my very personal view and without discussing anyone's opposite opinion on the matter, the best looking pieces of mechanics at HD. And they even do much better than 99% of the rest of the motorbike market. Just to look at them is a joy as such.
But the thing is really small. I'm 6.2ft and used to owe one. It felt sooooo nice, but just like for Mr Darcy here, they also feel undersized. It would be so cool if they made sportsters for the taller guys (5.9ft and more) one day...or just evolved with the increase of the average man size (for the easily distracted : still talking about the full body size!).
Fabien H some good points you have made there! I agree it would be awesome if they made sportsters for taller riders. The closest thing to one at the moment is probably the street bob. Mr Darcy is my son we have a joint channel! It does seem that the average height has increased and the sportster has stayed the same 🤔 certainly food for thought
@@MrDarcy-OlMan That makes you the Ol'Man then?! :-) The ol' fit man I'd say, but it's true about HD's strange tendency to make bikes smaller (even the softail frames are getting smaller according to a lot of RUclips features on the matter - which concerns me considering I'm picking up my brand new Slim in a day or two) when the average rider is getting taller at every decade?! I assume they turn better getting smaller, but if it's at the cost of only fitting the-men-who-look-up-straight-into-our-nostrils-in-the-lift... :-( Maybe it's the time to consider real customization work and think about adapting the frame itself? Expensive intervention on an already expensive bike though...

Direct exhaust is illegal in most civilized countries for a reason. This thing sounds like a tractor with no muffler, and makes way too much noise. This is like screaming for attention.

Allen X You can do it by just changing the end cans (or silencer) and fitting a slipon. Or complete exhaust. You don’t need to change the engine. Some tuning may need to be done (ie via ECU)

Stage 1 tune. De restrict the air intake, re map the engine, and fit a set of aftermarket exhausts or slip on cans.
Don’t change your exhaust alone - your bike will run better, longer , if you do it properly.

Short pipe 883s are bloody loud! The loudest I've ever heard are the Craftride drag pipes - they're super short and wide and just bloody deafening to ride!
I ended up fitting baffles in the short shots on my own 883 - my morning commute goes right past a primary school, and the screaming kids covering their ears with angry parents got a bit embarrassing after a while...

With all due respect, I believe that the key to deep, punchy sound is the compression, and the narrower the tube, the "harder" it will sound. As I told a friend a few days ago, what I miss the most about my motorcycle is that insane noise and especially being close to the buses and feeling and hearing how the bulkhead on its left side vibrates to the rhythm of the noise of my Sportster when I overtake them. Travelers look out the window, and I think even the driver notices it. I know, it sounds a bit "badass" but I love it!
