Your Sonos Arc will play your Samsung Tv sound - I have it hooked up to a Sammy tv. No worries there. If you got the impression that LPCM is not supported that is on me. There was an update to support maybe august last year. DTS remains unsupported but typically you can have the blue ray player transcode to Dolby. It won’t sound as good as native. Thanks for the info, learned and cleared up a lot in my mind. Would appreciate your take on firmware and apps. A big headache. My daily is the full Arc system. I have two full systems in the house - along with beams and play bars . I use Sonos as my home audio system - I really dislike one offs. In my proper home theater setup with projection I am currently going with the Klipsch cinema 1200 with an additional bass unit which sounds really good but is too buggy to recommend. @@neverenoughtech Thanks for that. I think Sonos for the quality of life, everyone I talk to enjoys them. I've got the Klipsch Cinema 400 and have been looking to upgrade.
I didn't even bother with a soundbar. A lot of the time you're paying for what you don't need. Unless you're going upmarket to actual 5.1, you could easily buy a $100 set of computer speakers which have a sub and would provide greatly improved stereo separation (provided you have a wide console) and sound stage, hook it up to your TV's headphone jack and use the TV's built-in surround sound trickery. Even better if the computer speakers are two-way, the tweeter will help sure up the phantom center. I had a budget TV and $50 computer speakers and thet did a great job. Recently got a better TV, so this time I'll just get an Arylic B50 amplifier (which has ARC) and some cheap speakers. Should cost around $300 altogether. Will beat any similarly priced soundbar.

Great video again!! I have a question : because Apple TV 4K uses lpcm wich is lossless audio may the sound quality of atmos or 5.1 Netflix movie played on Apple TV 4K has better sound quality than playing Netflix the same movie from native app on the tv wich tv off course supports atmos?? I have apple tv4k and lg oled c9 and when I played Netflix atmos movie from Apple TV 4K to lgsn11rg the sound was much better than the native app on tv!! Is this the Apple TV has better atmos quality or as somebody say the lgsn11rg has problem with sound via earc?? Thank you
I'm not sure about the simple explanation of Atmos soundbars bouncing the sound on walls and ceiling. Sure some use it as a a way of making the effect more convincing but I'm pretty sure that mo matter what there's also a great deal of psychoaccoustics involved - I think I read somewhere that Atmos requires to have some amount of psycoaccoustics although I can't say where. Take a bar as the Sony HT-X8500 which only has a few forward firing speakers and yet it's capable of making a very good illusion of a true Atmos setup - without bouncing (not physically possible with it's few speakers). Another example is a Lenovo tablet I saw in a store some years ago. It was jaw dropping in how realistic is was. No way sound was bouncing arround in that huge warehouse. But you're probably a little right of how much it matters. I'm researching a good Atmos soundbar as I want surround but my living room isn't nowhere near perfect. So should I go with the cheaper psycoaccoustic only HT-X8500 which gets by far the best reviews in its price range. Or opt for something higher end like the Sony HT-A7000? My fear is that the effects are destroyed because of my very imperfect living room. However in the higher price ranges no bar is 100% psycoaccoustic and it's impossible to find reviews adressing those very common issues that ordinary people have. Also I don't want a subwoofer if I can avoid it. A box that takes up space and I don't want the extreme rumble and noise levels that are present in cinemas. My old 5.0 (big front speakers) setup where I lived before sure required more physical setup and wiring but on other planes it was much simple to get the grasp of.
Informative and also funny (Lol) Could you please review the new Samsung Q950A … I use your reviews for my last purchase and am thinking of another premium soundbar.

Better would have been (for the undecided) to touch (subjectively - even that I’m certain you considered) sound quality aside the “go and hear”advice (which is nevertheless most valuable). I swear numbers of channels is the new “how many watts does this have” race from back in the early 2000’s. With those audio channels claiming “WE HAVE 3000 WATTS!” And samsung primarily and others now make people think a 7.1.4 channel bar will definitely sound better than a 3.1 by default just because it has more channels.
What do you recommend? I bought the new Jbl MultiBeam 5.0 but Im disappointed in the sound quality. It Dosnt sound better then some random cheap creative pc speakers 2.1

Dude I think I love u!! No homo, though I am a "homo" lol! I recently upgraded to t550, I had a party & the sound didn't fill the room. Which brought me to u & I've watched at least 10 of ur videos on sound bars. After ur review, I purchased the sonos beam & 2 S1's, it was pretty good but after adding the costs, I realize could've gotten the arc, that u seem to like the most. I'm tempted to just buy it & compare the sounds myself, but I figured I'd ask the master: which would u choose if you had to pick between the beam w/ 2 s1's or the arc, w/ regard to getting the most BANG (literally) for ur buck.. Thanks again for ur hard work you're FABULOUS!
I want to say that beam and surrounds would be better immediate value if you want all the sound right now. I think Arc would be the better choice long term in that you could build to something better than with the beam over time. I have both systems so I endorse either choice.
@@neverenoughtech I initially thought the beam and 2 s1's would best too, but the beam was plus the 2 s1's cost just as much as 1 arc. After your review it sounds like the arc fills the room with more sound due to the upfiring speaker ability, the 2 s1's help the beam with surround but the sound maybe more fun with the arc. I'm leaning more towards the arc, because I can get the 3d surround from the samsung 650.
Great content as always. The only thing holding your channel back is the lack of consistent updating. One or two videos a month is not gonna cut it unfortunately :)
Totally agree. I have a family and a career. This is a creative outlet. At this time in my life there are numerous reasons I need to lay off YT and focus on the accomplishment of other things. Hope I can find more to get after it at some point.
No one soundbar is without fault. Best rounded - least hassle is Sonos. Peak sound but buggy software Samsung Q9xxx series. I have a suspicion that the soundbar I would most want to listen to after this year will be the Klipsch cinema 1200 based on my 600 experience
Imagine if they ask you to send your Blu-ray back after you pay for it? That’s horrible that u can buy a digital version then it can be removed. Horrible! This will bring people to try piracy.
So I buy my 6 grand oled and pay extra for speakers? And extra speakers for my pitbulls to destroy and my cats to climb on...nah my high pitched ceilings would screw this too

And samsung primarily and others now make people think a 7.1.4 channel bar will definitely sound better than a 3.1 by default just because it has more channels.
What do you recommend? I bought the new Jbl MultiBeam 5.0 but Im disappointed in the sound quality. It Dosnt sound better then some random cheap creative pc speakers 2.1
@@erikd6124 isn’t that the one without a sub? Just don’t bother with jbl. Heck even the sony g700 is a better value. If you are in europe try teufel, in the us there are plenty, perhaps try the q acoustics one
@@Zoranurai13 yeah it is the one without sub. A pro in my column becouse it is in an apartment. Teufel? Never heard of. Yes Europe, Sweden.
G700 lack built in Audio chromecast.
What do you think about the LG ones? I saw one brand new at a market place, the newest Sr11 with rear upfiering speakers for the same price as the jbl 5.0 MultiBeam.
@@erikd6124 the lg is pretty meh but good compared to the multibeam. Check out teufel. If you google teufelaudio sweden you’ll get a hit. They make some really good budget stuff
@@Zoranurai13 atmos is really tempting though. But actuall sound quality should not have to steep aside. I checked out tefelaudio. Lots of HDMI ins, analog sound in etc. And no 4k pass through and no atmos or Dtsx. Why do we have to choose between old tech and good sound? :)
Can you please recommend me between Samsung hw-q67ct which I am getting for $200 ? And Vizio SB36514-G6 which I am getting at $350 after discount ? I am confused because I want best bang for my buck. Thank you in advance.
Wondering around Best Buy. That hit hard
Fellow wonderer
q950-t going as cheap as 900$ in US, would you still recommend over Sonos🤔🤔🤔
If starting from scratch and have no desire to expand - strong argument for the T
If you're not an Apple user would you still get the Sonos?
Yes, just missing out on the auto calibration feature that I think is of marginal importance
I keep my Sonos kit on voice/radio controlled switches so they aren't on all the time, munching energy!
Sir which has a overall better sound quality?
Apple Music is gonna introduce lossless along with Dolby Atmos support this week 😊
It’s exciting - will make my airpods max a better value - the cynical side of me wonders where/how/when the lossless audio will work
@@neverenoughtechAre AirPods Max worth buying? I'm also wondering if my Sonos Arc along with One SLs and a Sub will play Atmos music now..
Great info ! thanks
What's best for consoles like ps5?
Many performances are recorded in 7.1.LPCM.
Me want the Samsung Q990c, but don't have the money... so sad...
I thought LPCM was not a good audio format? what gives Buster Brown
It’s a lossless format and it you don’t have eARC all you get is a stereo signal
Got it, thank you sir!
SONOS is great for multi room audio, but if you want theater quality ATMOS sound, stay away from SONOS
What would you recommend ?
Thanks
Great content as always. The only thing holding your channel back is the lack of consistent updating. One or two videos a month is not gonna cut it unfortunately :)
Totally agree. I have a family and a career. This is a creative outlet. At this time in my life there are numerous reasons I need to lay off YT and focus on the accomplishment of other things. Hope I can find more to get after it at some point.
Sugar dropped. I made it all the way through the video even though you didn’t think I would do it.
I sit corrected. We’ll done sir!
What took you so long to post again???
Career promotion and preparing my house to sell.
@@neverenoughtech Alright. Anyway what's the best soundbar you would recommend ? Your reviews are so good I cant decide.
No one soundbar is without fault. Best rounded - least hassle is Sonos. Peak sound but buggy software Samsung Q9xxx series. I have a suspicion that the soundbar I would most want to listen to after this year will be the Klipsch cinema 1200 based on my 600 experience
@@neverenoughtech Thanks bro.
Imagine if they ask you to send your Blu-ray back after you pay for it? That’s horrible that u can buy a digital version then it can be removed. Horrible! This will bring people to try piracy.
It can be removed or worse - altered (“joke is no longer PC”). Unfortunately to preserve history it’s wise to buy physical copies
He talks down to the viewer. Lol, listen you must. He has Yoda ears.
Tough love
So I buy my 6 grand oled and pay extra for speakers? And extra speakers for my pitbulls to destroy and my cats to climb on...nah my high pitched ceilings would screw this too
Do you recommend any TVs! Andrew Robinson for life? We will see who will get my viewership!
