FaceFusion Pixel Boost - Better Looking FaceSwaps Than Ever Before!

- As of the release of this video, Pixel Boost is not available in the regular edition and you have to switch to what is called "Next" (as you can see the version in my UI), which is basically the beta version available to anyone that wants to test new features before the official release. Though I say it's beta, it works just as well as the release would, it just doesn't have all of the features that are slated for the 3.0.0 release yet. Without any unforeseen issues, the actual release with Pixel Boost should be available within a week or two from the release of this video.

Yes, I've been waiting for a long time for someone to make a video about Pixel Boost because it's the best!!!
Thanks for making this video, I wanted to hear somebody talk about the new Pixel Boost feature and show the results. I can't wait to use it, although face enhancer needs to be used still which is okay for me, as long as the images and videos come out like they're supposed in great quality instead of pixelated or blurriness. The next thing that I'm trying to figure out getting clear clothes instead of washed up clothes. I might need to start learning Comfy UI for that part.
I wish they could figure out how to get the mouths right. It's nearly always the tell that something was a swap.

@@tomszarans7220 sorry, no. You're going to have to wait for the 3.0.0 release or do a normal FaceFusion install and switch to Next.
WOW.. this is gonna put a LOT of people out of work. I am really focusing on specific areas and ONLY because I am already aware that this is AI. When we don't know it is AI and the tech continues to improve, there will be lawsuits about digital manipulation of a person's face, from a previous movie or contract. It will take years to work the claims / appeals up the legal chains. Then Congress will have to get involved and create MORE laws to address the most common sense of interpretations being muddied by those with the money to do so. This is gonna make a monumental impact on movies, TV, fashion designer models and things we cannot yet consider. This is gonna generate decades of upheaval in the world of industries across all genres that deal in visual media.
hah, and now it works! Yep, it's exciting and scary at the same time. Well, I'm sure the lawyers are drooling.

I update my FaceFusion but I haven't this new functions, I have MacBook, maybe that only on windows?
@@rooneywayne8925 I'm on a Mac, so no, that's not it. As I state in the video, it's not available in the regular release yet, but will be available when 3.0.0 comes out. You can, however, switch to the NEXT (think beta) version to use it.
Make sure you're in the facefusion directory and in the conda environment, then...
git checkout next
python install.py
python run.py

Will this help with their eyes not blinking? Sometimes the result I get looks great but the person doesnt blink .. at all. If it was just photos that works but video.. Its weird.
Sorry, no, I wish. That's just an inherent issue with all of the currently available swapping models. The Pixel Boost is only there to give cleaner higher resolution swaps. But since you may not need to use the enhancer nearly as much, the eyes should adhere to the original motions more closely.
@@shadyendeavor Some videos actually blink naturally and then some dont. Maybe it has something to do with the resolution of both the source photo and they target video? I think I'll try testing it on the "target" videos that come with FF. Since its the same video at different resolutions.
@@hebercloward1695 Looking at a few other examples that I was working with that had blinking in them do end up with them not blinking with the Pixel Boost also. So yeah, I don't think it's going to "fix" it. It may work sometimes, but it definitely doesn't all of the time.

cd facefusion - make sure you're in the correct directory
conda activate facefusion - activate your conda environment
git checkout next - switches you to next (in-development version of FF)
python install.py - installs necessary updates for current next version
Do this at your own risk. If you aren't comfortable using command line, you should probably just wait for the release of 3.0.
how to install?
Currently, it is only available in the NEXT (developer version) of the application. You are welcome to try that out, but I'd recommend asking in the "early-adopter" channel on the FaceFusion discord (linked in the description below). As there are a lot of other features added to try out too. Otherwise, it will be freely available as soon as version 3.0 is released.
