Just sat down with some fresh out the smoker deer jerky that made from my WT buck that I bagged two weeks ago. Small 4 pointer as far as racks go but he was big bodied. I pulled just over 90 pounds of meat off him. That's a helluva buck you scored there! Cheers from Alberta!

Deer hunting like that is like solving a big puzzle, and similar to a chess match. As a hunter myself I understand the elation you feel when a plan comes together. Beautiful Blacktail specimen, and glad you caped it out for a nice shoulder mount. You will relive the memory of that day for years to come. Congratulations, you worked hard for that one.

That’s awesome man. My biggest whitetail is a 150” 8 point. I also diy a 315” Rocky Mountain bull elk. It took me 6 years. This season I drew mule deer tag and ended up missing one that wasn’t a giant but a nice deer.
@@kygreenskeeper8326 I live close to the Mississippi River, basically sea level. The hardest part is acclimating to elevation. When you breathe there just not much oxygen available higher you go up. So it compounds when there’s excitement.
I live in the foot hills of the Yolly bolly No. Calif. got a 4x3 19 3/4 "with thick horns looks allot like your buck. been a good yr. here too.seen lots of bear,pigs and bucks. Congrats.

I don't get too caught up in score, but it is a nice tool to describe an animal you may have observed. All big game harvests are life events for sure, regardless of size. Never apologize for the harvest no matter how big or how small. Thanks for sharing the story. Beautiful chocolate colored rack.

I always thought I was crazy. When shooting a bow, I aim for heart shot in the pocket edge of body. Never told anyone that, and killed a lot of them. Great buck Brother.
