Steve, Not many people on this beautiful planet will ever have an opportunity like that, nor well they appreciate exactly how difficult that hunt is. Thanks for letting us see it. >>>>>>------------->
Wow man, just wow! This 68 y.o. hockey puck with stage 4 liverbig C. Has never hunted a day in my life, but the old goosebumps just came a calling! God bless you and all our Outdoors men and women.
That's awesome! That's something I will never be able to experience. My body just can't handle it. But I've been fortunate enough to have over 50 years of hunting whitetails!
That was really something to watch and for me to appreciate your hunting skills. It lived a good, long life and died in a merciful way. I think so anyway.
Nice shot. Couldn't have been much better and a beautiful, gorgeous, ram to boot He will feed a lot of mouths this winter and the mother earth smiled on you.
Thx 4 the share buddy 50 years young, still have lots of legs left buddy. Very nice harvest. Ethical shot, nicely played hunt, cant wait to get up in the rocks in 2023
Ive got 7 years on you, theres no damn way I coulda made that trek at 50. At 30, yeah, Id like to think I coulda gutted thru it but damn, thats some wicked country. That old ram, hell, you did him proud, Steve, he never knew what hit him. Helluva hunt.
Couldn't of happened to a better man. What a stud of a ram and what beautiful country. I'd say that shoulder was minced meat from the slow mo shot but very lethal shot with instant death. Thanks for taking us on the ride and enjoy the meat. Stay young my friend.
Thank you sharing this hunt. Thank you for the look at places I will never be able to go to in person. And thank you for sharing the hunt, something I've never had the chance to do. I'm not here just for the bigfoot. Awesome!
Happy 50th Birthday Steve to one very incredible man. Never been able to do all the different hunting, but I truly understand and wish I had ways of enjoying more of nature's healthier meat. Thank you so very much for sharing your experience. Best always Rusty in Southern Oklahoma ❤❤😊😊🎉
Love that video Steve , you truly are living the dream sir , keep up the good work and thank you for sharing a little piece of your world with us I truly appreciate it, God bless
Thank you so much for sharing your hunting video Steve what a Ram this has to be one of the best hunting video I have ever seen all the hard work with an incredible stalk you got so close to the Rams what a perfect shot I’m so proud of you such an incredible Ram
Thank you for sharing the hunt with your fellow hunter and followers. Beautiful Ram. Not many people will ever experience that in there life time. Thank you.
Awesome job! The suspense and anticipation was captured great. I can't believe the amount of work that went into planning, camera placement, and capturing the entire hunt you did solo. And don't forget the actual successful hunt too! And editing it all. Hats off to you Steve. I turn 50 in September and know what you mean about not sure how many more adventures are left. Great job
Steve, that was a stellar hunt, my Brother! The stalk. The wind read. The patience. The aim, and finally the shot. The body and mind control. Dealing with the effects of adrenaline overload. You, Sir, pulled them all together, prioritized them, and optimized your approach to your final exhale before the crisp break of the trigger. For a while there I could live vicariously through you! Thank you for sharing Brother. Keep on keeping on Brother! Godspeed.
OMG, the whole Hunt, right up to harvest and then some , Congratulations Steve on getting that beautiful Ram, I hear that they are real good eating 🐏 👍
Wow! That is incredible! Happy Half a CENTURY! LoL Goat meat is delicous slow cooked on the grill! My Dad would have Loved to have known you (1912-1993) he was a hell of man indeed! Congratulations on your beautiful harvest!
Thank you for sharing you amazing harvest of the big horn sheep. Beautiful country to do it in. Too bad we all about to loose it because of apathy and greed. Two human traits that will always be with us. We do have a choice to be whatever we want. When that time comes to weigh your soul to a feather, ask yourself, what does my soul weigh? You are alive and can change, if you decide to put the real work in to be a Human being. No try. Only do or no do.
Thank you for putting up your traverse/stalk route! I feel like all hunting videos should have this information so people get a better understanding of the hunter's situation. You also put music in the description. Those two alone made me sub!
I've talked with people who have done the "big five" and these hunts as well. They say by far these are the toughest, because of elevation, lack of cover, temperatures etc. At 50 you should be proud. 👍👍👍👍👍
Well done. Thanks for sharing! Oh to be 50 again! Now at 62, I chose to ride my dirt bike back in as deep as I can on the single track. Don’t kill much anymore, still have the instinct, but with the state of the world and our 2 countries, my passion is to ride as far back in away from humanity as I can get and use Gods escape as planned. Love riding in grizzly country…..more adrenaline ….Betta! Hope you share more hunts with us. Love brown bear hunts the best. Beautiful country
Awesome video, dall is a bucket list animal for me , but my back and is shot , guess I'll have to do it in the next life lol but I have taken some great whitetail buck and black bears
Much respect Mr Steve for the respect you show towards the animals you hunt. yes sir the day i stop feeling that adrenaline & dry mouth and excitement is the day I put the gun & Bow down. and I pray that day never comes. Peace 🇺🇲
Steve, you are doing great for 50 ! A couple things I would like to see express to you. I believe this platform (UTUBE) isn't real keen on slow motion kills. The moment of impact in close up ? It doesn't effect me, I'm a protein harvester myself. Big game, small game and lots of fish. I'm just concerned for you because I watch your videos everyday. Secondly, please......get some guests in that mancave ! For sure those guy's who were at a hunting camp up in Northern Canada who had the up close and personal SABE encounters. That will be a interesting conversation ! Thanks again. G.
Awesome Steve just the rams watchin ewes had my adrenalin pumping what's your best advise for a newer bow hunter man I been having a he'll of a time I've watched a few men give up compound I refuse 2 years so far no harvest with the compound bear species hopefully this test that changes
Congratulations, I'm 55 and hope to go on a sheep hunt in my future. Hopefully, I can get into a spot that while laying down (i.e., that my gun isn't elevated as much as yours had to be...) Cheers
What's your normal pack weight heading in? What's the max weight you could carry in a hunting pack 10 miles a day if you had 2? What's the heaviest you've carried for 10 plus miles to date and what carrying system did you use? I'm shooting for 100 pounds 10 miles a day 30 days for thru hiking. Will start at 100 pounds end at 60 be carrying 40 pounds of food I won't be hunting. I figured I'd as a hunter because of how heavy Thier packs are compared to thru hikers.
Hey man, just my 2 cents as a Sheep hunter. Stone Sheep hunting is a whole different ball game that virtually nothing else on earth compares to...or so I've heard. But generally for a 10 day Sheep hunt I aim for 55lbs...that's rifle and everything. I don't care who you are but not too many people are carrying much more than that. Remember...we also expect to come down heavy which means you'll be in the 150lb range. Good luck man, sounds like a hell of a trek
@@smiley847 I ended up going with the Barney's Alaskan Yukon with The Frighter Frame . Set me back $950. Its an pack plus frame that weighs about 7 to 8 pounds I have 50 in there to begin with. Started doing one mile every other day. Work up 10 pounds every 2 weeks.
Steve, Not many people on this beautiful planet will ever have an opportunity like that, nor well they appreciate exactly how difficult that hunt is. Thanks for letting us see it. >>>>>>------------->
Wow...!!! I mean you're speaking the absolute truth with that statement...
And that's TRULY an UNDERSTATEMENT!!!
Wow man, just wow! This 68 y.o. hockey puck with stage 4 liverbig C. Has never hunted a day in my life, but the old goosebumps just came a calling! God bless you and all our Outdoors men and women.
