i think she really advanced her voice in the past year, her voice now souds fuller but still soft as back than.
Sounds like a different mic, to me, not to take away from her voicework, of course.
@@ExtraHolidayPresents definitely more things have changed than just a microphone. About 1,5-2 years ago she started using a much stronger voice.
You can hear the similarities to debut Fauna, but the difference between her back then and now is night and day. She's grown in strength and confidence so much since those early days.
she used to be a lot softer and gentler, more reserved. she's still super comfy and cozy, but her voice definitely has more energy now. she grew a lot over the years and i love to see it. her voice still tickles you in funny ways, but she has a much wider range now. it's also not just the voice, but the emotion and the attitude.
This makes debut Fauna sound loud and confident TBH lol.
when I first watched that debut in 2023 I felt it was like she was stuck in ASMR voice and she had to level up to unlock "yapping voice"

ASMRtist here, not a remotely good one, but I digress, and, while I'm sad to see Fauna go, I'm glad we get to welcome LemonLeaf back into the ASMRtist community! She inspired a great many ASMRtists to start up and give it their best, and I've been blessed to know quite a few of them and watch them succeed.
Also, can relate to her being named LemonLeaf but no lemons nor leaves in her motif; I've always been called Birdie, but my mascots are a Christmas elf and a rabbit eating bread. It doesn't make sense.

...is it just me or are there elements of LemonLeaf in this video that kinda reminds me of, of all people, Nyanners?
It's not just you, listen to like a minute of Nyanners talking in her old Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion stream VODs from 2020, and then play this video.
Lemonleaf and Old Nyanners sound very similar... they're like two different VAs voicing the same character and trying to do a similar performance. Though LL is more breathy and Old Nyanners is more squeaky.

That seems to be the intent. She hung out with that crowd, at the time. I don't know much about it, though.
They were a group of "close" friends but once Fauna entered in hololive they never collabed again, kinda sad and I wonder who is to blame, Fauna said she did not feel the need to collab with people outside of hololive, which is very sad knowing that she had a group of friends that helped her grow and possibly were part responsible of her entering in the company, but I hope they can fix whatever the problems they had and collab again now
@@juampisito I don't want to spread rumors that I haven't verified. What I will say is that what little I have heard secondhand implies that they don't associate any more and that it's for the best.
Regardless, I'm confident that Lemonleaf will thrive. She has the skills, she has the experience, and she has the connections. By all indications, she's a good person, and she's an adult who can take care of herself. There are a lot of vtubers that like her and would be happy to offer advice if asked.

she had the shondo unhinged cute daughter wife loli theme when she was lemonleaf, I hope she becomes more like Fauna when she debuts again because it is very hnggg but it would feel different and like a lost. That said I would like to see her collab with her past friends, even if most of them go for the shondo vibes, it is very sad that she decided to not collab with them anymore after hololive (maybe the company asked her not to, Shondo is not precisely loved by everyone, she has some haters and "interesting" takes)

Her voice is definitely much more forced and trying too much ti be soft and quiet back here, glad she talks and laughs more naturally now
She reminds me of a lot of Nyanners, she also used to do a really preformative soft high pitched cutesy voice, and then transitioned to a more natural sounding voice over the years.
