      it depends on how someone looks at it. try to watch and compare khokushin and muay thai from shotokan karate and tae kwon do.

      @@mastertroso I watch and compare, and still think Shotokan is much better.

    Nice! I find it odd that some pre-pubescent black belts have completely worn out belts, while someone like Rika Usami still has little signs of wear on hers. Is it fashionable make your obi look as if it is decades old from thousands of hours of wear?

      Ben Chen at the beginning of the competition you have to stick to these five katas, but you still have to do them like a black belt, they're more demanding

      Because it isn't a full contact sport. Students are taught to control their striking and if heavy contact is made a warning is given.

    • @Shudikan90
      @Shudikan90 Год назад

      Yes. That is because the Olympics have several styles integrated, so then how can one judge fairly between them? Some aspects of the rules take away the functionality or the fighting form from the style for the sake of points. わかりまでぃた?

    why people crying and look very tired?

    • @1946FreddieMercury
      @1946FreddieMercury 8 лет назад

      +Koo Baa Because it puts great physical stress on their body and naturaly some of them lost, which is probably why they're crying. When you're at that level, you want nothing more but to win, and if you lose, it can be quite devastating.

    • @beimghadaw
      @beimghadaw 8 лет назад

      What physical stress you talking about? They fight for 2 sec and stop. You want to see physical stress...go watch Muay Thai fight..

    • @nikdat
      @nikdat 8 лет назад

      +Koo Baa this is a tournament format..they fight more than one bout in a day. It is tiring

    • @hadizafrul7338
      @hadizafrul7338 7 лет назад +1

      What is wrong with crying? Those tears will make them stronger. You'll never know if you've never been in a competition. You aren't there for money nor recognition. It's more that you want to prove, test, and check yourself "How far have you made it -after a long hard training?". They will also start to acknowledge others and make some friends. They are so fuckin cool. You are an idiot if you compare this discipline (tradition, art, and sport) with some fighting sport where business and entertainment are in it.

    great form and speed but i guess not enough power to compete with muay thai and kyokushin players. no disrespect. osu

    • @thensho
      @thensho 8 лет назад +1

      well, that goes for any art that doesn't allow full contact during competitions.
      but you have to remember that traditional karate is just as dangerous when used in real fights. you can't compare a traditional art with another art by just looking at the sport/competition side.

    • @thomaskwiatkowskiesq.328
      @thomaskwiatkowskiesq.328 4 года назад

      But it is disrespect, no matter that you say it isn't because it is an uneducated opinion meant to diminish a particular martial art. First of all, how do you know that "not enough power to compete with muay thai and kyokushin"? Did you objectively measure this "power"? Second, what do you even mean by "compete"? Under what rules? What conditions? Are you trying to say that that if JKA practitioners sparred against MT practitioners under JKA rules MT would automatically win? Or under no rules? How do you know that?
