- tribute video to the epic parts 5-7 of 'Equinoxe'; music - of course - by Jean-Michel Jarre, the visualization (that is, cutting & mixing as well as all source videos & stills) is my work; filming locations include Vienna & its surroundings, the river 'Lassnitz' in Deutschlandsberg (Styria) & various train passages in Austria + some train passages in South Tyrol near the Austrian/Italian border
I 'm a big fan of Jean - Michel Jarres , since the age of 12 , when I heard oxygene 2 for the first time in 1978, I
fell in love with his music. I'm now 54 and still love his music.
I was 17 Years old i listen 1978 or 79 ....Oxygene 4....for open Disco.......now in March 60 Years old.....the time go so quickly.............

The first time i heard Equinoxe 5 was in 1988. Heading from Grimsby to Hull, and just as the great Humber Bridge was visible from the Motorway Equinoxe 5 was on the radio. Mindblowing for me as as 12 year old boy.
I was about 8 years old in the back of my Dads Marina in the rain at Mablethorpe.

Ein sehr schönes Video zu einer tollen Musik. Sehr gut gefällt mir auch die Verfremdung der Bilder, was dem Ganzen ein expressionistisches Ambiente gibt. Dasselbe spiegelt sich ja auch in der Musik wider.Teilweise hätte man das Timing noch erwas präzisieren und die Bildsprache verfeinern können. Ein bisschen fehlt mir auch der logische Zusammenhang der Bilder und der konkrete Bezug zur Musik.. Insgesamt jedoch eine sehr schöne Arbeit!
Ich habe seit vielen Jahren auch eine Videoidee zu diesem Musistück im Kopf. Ich denke da an eine dystopische Stadt der Zukunft, ähnlich wie bei dem Film Blderunner. Den 3.Teil des Stückes nenne ich dabei "Memories of green", was zumindest gedanklich den Weg zurück zur Natur beschreiben soll.
Mit welchem Programm wurde das Video erstellt?
VIelen Dank für Dein Feedback! Ich wähle/verknüpfe das Bildmaterial bei Musik-Videos in der Regel intuitiv, d.h. ich probiere bestimmte Sequenzen und modifiziere ggf. das Material mittels diverser Video-Effekte so lange, bis ich ein Ergebnis habe, das sich für mich stimmig anfühlt. Und das meine ich eher im subjektiv-ästhetischen Sinn, weniger dass das Video eine durchgehende Geschichte erzählen muss. Und so gehe ich eben Abschnitt für Abschnitt (und auch nicht immer sequentiell) vor, bis ich irgendwann mal dann fertig und zufrieden bin. Natürlich immer im Rahmen meiner technischen Möglichkeiten und Fähigkeiten.
Damals, als ich dieses Video produzierte, habe ich primär aus einem Archiv meiner diversen Hobby-Videoaufnahmen das zusammengesucht, was ich mir für so ein Video vorstellte bzw. was eben für mich am besten an einer bestimmten Stelle reinpasste. Heutzutage gehe ich manchmal auch extra raus, um bestimmte Szenen, die mir beim Anhören einer bestimmten Musik in den Sinn kommen (und die so in meinem Quellmaterial noch nicht vorhanden sind), frisch und eben speziell für das anstehende Videos aufzunehmen. Und wenn mir das mal technisch nicht zufriedenstellend gelingt, improvisiere ich wieder irgendetwas anderes, bis es für mich dann zumindest auch irgendwie OK ist. (habe aber in seltenen Fällen auch schon Projekte ganz abgebrochen, wenn ich merkte, ich komme einfach zu keinen Ergebnis, das mich zufrieden stellt)
Aber wirklich durchgescriptet im klassischen Sinn sind meine Videos im Normalfall nicht. Das passiert großteils relativ spontan im Zuge der Arbeit und ist im Endergebnis dann mitunter eher abstrakt. Wenn ich eigene Musik produziere, gehe ich zumeist ähnlich vor. Man entwickelt einen Track, lässt sich unterwegs immer wieder inspirieren, fühlt hinein, bastelt daran herum, bis es sich "rund" anfühlt und überlegt sich dann am Schluss: OK, und wie nenne ich dich jetzt? ;)
Aja, und um Deine Frage zu beantworten: Dieses Video habe ich damals mit Adobe Premiere erstellt (weiß jetzt nimmer, welche Version das war).

Ich entwickele meine Bilder aus der Musik heraus und baue daraus eine Geschichte, die oft auf mehreren Ebenen spielt. In der Regel habe ich schon den ganzen Film im Kopf, bevor ich beginne zu basteln..
Premiere ist eines der besten Videoschnittprogramme. Ich arbeite mit dem kostenlosen Shotcut.
Das ist mein aktuelles Werk. Dies ist vollständig aus der Musik heraus entstanden. Den Vulkanausbruch habe ich komplett vor Ort miterlebt

@@Villawaldesfrieden2 Wow, ein beeindruckendes Werk (Lacrimosa)! Sowohl Musik, als auch das Video. Mit so einem spektakulären Bildmaterial kann man natürlich großartige Videos zusammenstellen, die auch sehr gut mit der dargebotenen Musik funktionieren. Mir persönlich wäre es noch mehr entgegen gekommen, wenn die Szenenwechsel teilweise etwas langsamer vonstatten gingen (ich lasse normalerweise gerne einzelne Videosequenzen zwischen den Cuts eine Weile wirken, außer die Musik gebietet mir gerade etwas anderes), gerade bei den beeindruckenden Aufnahmen. Aber da hat natürlich jeder seinen eigenen Geschmack bzw. ist es natürlich auch eine Frage dessen, wie man die Musik interpretiert bzw. interpretiert wissen möchte.

i just stubeld on your intreptation and i don't get it. in my vision equinoxe is a journey through space and time. that ends at the moment that the sun is crossing the equator at a specific time.
