@@Iuckylukey PRX Vacheron. Don't get it wrong. The 222 came on 1977 and the PRX in 1978. Surely the price tag wants you to think the other way. But design wise, the PRX came first. You can say the PRX is a 222 for way less money. But is the PRX who wants to look like a 222 and not the other way.
Vacheron Constantin, you’ve done it again! This model is sublime. Not only do you exceed expectations as far as product, but your service and attention to customers is exemplary. 2025 is shaping up to be a big year for the brand.
I like this a lot. Great watch, and great release. However it costs here in the UK £30,800 ?! which is just too much. Way more than AP Royal Oak which I was hoping it would compete with.
After rejuvenating the 222 like this, it would be good to see them work on the same with the 2215 as the shape of that lends itself to the 37mm case to appear larger than it is. The 2215 was introduced in 1975 (50 years ago) and was replaced in 1977 with the 222.
All great and the watch is really beautifull (although pricey - it is VC after all) but bare in mind that 2455 movement has no free-sprung, no anti-magnetism, 40h PR and only +/- a minute a week (Geneva Seal spec) it is also thicker. So the only benefit comparing to the 1120 is a quick set date.
Great watch and great interview. You praised the quality of the 223 bracelet and how comfortable it is on the wrist. You did same with PFTonda microrotor. Do you find 222 bracelet even more confortable than the PF?
Excellent interview and great release! Just a gentle reminder, suggest Mr Christian Selmoni should renew his suits . I found it looks way too tight which doesn’t look good to him and somewhat a reflection to the brand image. Anyway I like all VC people I have met in person!
Beautiful! But for a watch to capture my imagination and interest something needs to visibly move on the dial. I’d be calling my AD this morning if it had a small seconds hand at 6 o’clock. (If I can add a couple more wishes I’d love it with a vintage off white dial and 100M water resistance.)
Lets hope it won't cost as much a gold watch with a gold bracelet from many other brands) Oh wait it does 😆 Jokes aside beautiful piece , it's good to see vc coming back . 40 hour juice is a shame tho(
Love the watch. If we're being honest, wouldn't it have been better timing to have this come out 5 years ago? It seems like saying over and over that "it's the perfect time" is a stretch.
I really like Vacheron But there is no way a steel watch, no matter the brand, with a date complication only should cost more than 5-6 k (£,$,€) in my humble opinion There is a lot of snobbery in the watch industry It’s up to you to decide if you want to be fooled by” limited stock” or “waiting lists” They just use smart sales and marketing techniques against our own egos, that’s the reality of it
@@Nefville I don’t think they are gonna hype it up like AP because of the size on paper. All of the hype chaser wants wrist presence so I don’t think they are going like a sub 40mm watch
It was already hyped with the gold one but it eventually came down yo retail. If you want to buy this watch without purchase history, a decent 2 year wait for the hype to fade.
@@duynguyen2408 The size is interesting, I tried on a vintage *jumbo 222 once and it wore far far larger than the diameter, the reason being the bracelet has very little flex and has quite a bit of flare. The most rigid bracelet I've ever tried on. To my eye it appears they turned down this bracelet compared to the vintage one but if not, I'd expect this to wear more like a 41mm watch. I could be wrong, either way, I'll be curious to see how this sells and what it lists for on C24 in a few months. I can't afford it even if it was half the price so honestly, its all academic.
Because it is vacheron constantin. And anything means that brand, its history, its quality, the 270 years of existence. I made the same question to the Greek importer in1998, when i learrnt the price of 1st gen overseas. Almost the triple of a submariner then.
might aswell be a prx on the wrist - looks nice but if you spend 30k+ on a steel watch with this little complications you definitely have too much money to spend and I doubt VC will compete with Nautilus/Royal Oak prices on the secondary market after a few months of release, so I doubt it will be a good investors watch
Same sheet, different packet as they say. 222, youll need to give your AD oral and tell them they are Gods gift to humanity. Overseas will be a 3 month ‘pretend demand’ wait
Why do watchmakers always put the "AUTOMATIC" text on the dials? I mean, why is that an ongoing tradition? If you've got a display caseback then you know if it's automatic or not.
Hate it … the braclet is ugly and has the same deployent clasp as everybody else has like blancpain 50 Fathoms or the moser it’s metal braclet or the urban jungerson steel watch … it’s just an ugly watch that wants to be the original royal oak … and there is nothing special about it … the finish is nice but I would rather add 40 k and get Kari voutilainen or for 15 k get a Breguet classique
It's good to see new releases in 37/38mm again.
The Vacheron PRX!

Beautiful. Exceptional, with the Vacheron unique elegance.
Absolutely will need a massive purchase history
It is 2025! "Watch Market is Dead..." With that being said, you are probably right.

Wei is always way ahead. Top man, great video!
Well done VC, kudos!
Chapeau! I genuinely can't wait to see what the rest of this year brings!
I absolutely love it, way above what I can afford but I appreciate it none the less, this is the holy grail 😍
amazing watch, amazing move by Vacheron 🔝🔝🔝

Was the price mentioned?
@@Ammah786 “way more than an a Royal Oak.” The 16202 would be the direct comparison to this, it costs £500 more than the 222 in steel.
its cheaper than the jumbo which would be the royal oak equivalent
You won't get one anyway so price is meaningless
@@troylim1069 Price is on the official website
Wei, great video. Watch looks great. Can't wait to see it. Hope I can get one to go with my Gold 222 (like yours).
Congratulations Vacheron, what an amazing time piece.
Wei is such a good interviewer actually lets people talk. Would love to see him do a Parkinson style show
Wow. This watch!! Matched only by this video. Absolutely best in class launch of this piece. Production value for days. Well played, we'll played.

Stunning! Chic, and - would be a harmonic convergence with my wardrobe - but the price is egregious - Nautilus Secondary market pricing. Insulting!

Excited to see a 222 in steel. Like to see it in 39 or 40MM, but hoping to try one on in 37MM also.
Beautiful watch!
i love it.
I want that watch!

Chocolate dial, platinum cross and rotor... I am in love 😍
Possible purchase on the second hand market down the road. Price is a bit high for what it is IMO.
Too much for steel Watch😱🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😩
VC’s msrp are always high, thats the game they play
why supposed to be under AP and PP - royal oak, nautilus… if its holly trinity watch…
Just another flippers wet dream to cash in on. VC stirring up some demand on the downhill of the market.
Amazing watch. But 37 mm?? VC went too far
The sweet spot remains 40-41 mm for men
😂😂
Agreed
37 mm?? it looks huge on his wrist
It’s nice and Wei does a good job of selling it.
Actually Wei got his by doing the interview.
@ doesn’t surprise me. If I want good watch coverage Wei is one of the best, if I want independent reviews I go elsewhere

Schade das die Wiedergabe des Videos nicht auf deutsch möglich ist
37mm but looks massive on the wrist due to the integrated bracelet. Love it, but if I’m ever in the market for it I’d have to try it on the wrist.
“Massive” ? Settle down pencil man

Pretty much a perfect watch. I would prefer a seconds hand however, i'm not a fan of 2 handers.

wow this tissot prx looks different....
I think the 222 is much more versatile than the 16202. 37mm is the perfect size.
Hoping they release a SS version of the (currently rose gold) olive green Overseas…
2k for the watch and 30k for the name
Can’t afford that much for a stainless steel watch, I’m good with my prx😂
Prx do the job very well. I also have a prx pm80 dark blue. It's very beautiful and impressive.
The question is, can we buy it at retail?
What’s the difference between 222 and overseas? Aesthetics are very similar

Nice but no micro adjustment bracelet???
The angular case corners may not be the cup of tea to everyone
35.000€ and the IWC ingénieur is overpriced? 😂😂😂
ingenieur is overpriced like hell… also based on movement which is really poor
The price of this will either bring out its value, or give the IWC Ingenieur more value
He is NOT requesting purchase history? What does that mean?
Confused!….did Vacheron Constantin cop the Tesso PRX?
They didn’t. PRX was 78, 222 75. Just glad Tissot didn’t copy the VC price.
Beautiful watch except for the clumsy rotor with the heinous '222' font.
Why do watchmakers always put the "AUTOMATIC" text on the dials? I mean, why is that an ongoing tradition? If you've got a display caseback then you know if it's automatic or not.
The steel 222 or the cubitus?
I have the honor to where this horological masterpiece daily in yellow gold and i hope to have the honor also to buy his little brother from steel
Keep thinking it’s gonna fall off Wei’s wrist when he keeps moving his arm !
great revival
40h power reserve? Too low. 55? GTFO, Looking great.
Yeah you better not buy one!
How many inches is your wrist, Wei??
35K euros for a steel watch ... can we stop this trend please
Well… there goes my kidney 😂😢
nice! a vintage 47101/47111 for the same price, makes it unattractive to me
Too much for steel Watch
Great watch, but too small at 37 mm, and they’re calling it a “jumbo”??? Great size for the Mrs…
Nope... that watch must me in PM.
Change the brand, and then it's like a tissot prx 😂
So not new, and looks like a Tissot. Not only that, whats the point, you can't buy it anyway
Is it impossible for Asians to say the word millimetre? 😂
Stainless steel watches are worth $30. It's a giant ripoff
EVERYONE? SPEAK FOR YOURSELF PLS
Not for me.
That dial and hands wouldn't look out of place on a PRX.
