greenshamrock2000 No. There is not any major differences. I will say the shots feel more bouncy off the face of the Gen2. The feel is excellent off both clubs but there is a difference between the two. Performance wise, the “improvements” are not enough to upgrade. Both sets are excellent clubs.
Love them. I did try the 120 shafts and found that the 105s were just a little higher. I hit the ball low so I went with the extra height. One of the reasons I chose the PXGs was, even with the same shaft the PXG was higher. They have certainly helped my game. I’ve shot under par on three different courses in the last month.
3PUTT Outdoors thanks for the reply that was some really good information you passed on. I am ordering my clubs today. I was recommended for the 120s but if I wanted the ball a little bit higher flight to go with the 105 s. I had hit the 105 s in the Ping i-200 s and had a really good set of numbers come off of them. I am purchasing my PXG through their PXG for Heroes program. This program allows members of the Armed Forces active-duty or retired to purchase gen 1 irons and wedges basically at half off. So pxg in this program was cheaper than the Titleist ap3 or Ping i210 with wedges. They are also offering drivers, Fairway Woods, hybrids and putters at special price considerations. So I figured at that cost I should jump on it. And then sitting process the only thing pxg will not adjust under this program is the perimeter weights. So for the build of the clubs, I went with what my normal fitting parameters are and with shaft selection the choice I had already decided to go with in the 105 s was what pxg had recommended in their online fitting tool. I am thinking about getting the 0811lx driver as well.
Tony Lynam that is excellent news. I know you will be very happy with your decision. Welcome to #PXGTroops and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! The Heroes program is a great addition.
Smittydad123 Golf I’m thinking I received them so quickly because I participated in the Loyalty Upgrade Program. The release date is not until April 19th.
Was getting so stressed with him holding over cement driveway
Did you notice a big difference between the two? I just bought the Gen one 5 through PW a couple of months ago.

How do you like the Modus 3 105? Did you try the 120?
