I really like the way that you continually emphasize the importance of stepping back and checking your work for symmetry and tuckers as you go along. It's an important step that so many tutorials ignore.
I enjoy the patterns so much. I have boxes of dolls waiting for just the right garment. I can pretty much reduce/increase/alter most of them to suit the doll's needs but I cannot find a pattern for a double breasted jacket. I have done lots of trial jackets but still it doesn't look quite right. Any chance you have such a thing or are open to doing the dbj?
Thank you for the suggestion. The sew time for each garment varies by how complex it is and how many times I have sewn it before. Garments with handset zippers always take a bit longer.

A habit cultivated by necessity. It's so frustrating to finish something and then try to go back and fix it.
Lovely dress . I am alway so happy to see a new video Thanks for your time
Great tip for the bust ruffle to fit her properly. Love this design, so beautiful.
Happy New Year Thanks for teaching me to sew. Keep the tutorials coming. I look forward to raising the bar on my skill.
Happy New Year! Everything gets better with practice. :)

I will keep the double breast jacket in mind for a future design. Thank you for suggesting it.
Could you identify the fabric used in your demonstration?
Excellent suggestion. I will try to mention the type of fabric I am using. This gown and the Gala gown are both made from Dupioni Silk.
I wonder why you don’t use a gathering foot for your ruffles?
I will try the gathering foot in the future. I did not have one with my old sewing machine.
Are you using one row of gathering stitches or two?
For material that I am familiar with I often use one row of gather stitching instead of two. It just depends on how the fabric gathers.
Could you include how much time, in real time, it takes you to construct the garment?
Thank you for the suggestion. The sew time for each garment varies by how complex it is and how many times I have sewn it before. Garments with handset zippers always take a bit longer.
What iron are you using in this video? The one for the link is not this one. It turned out beautiful
The iron is a Steamfast amzn.to/3p0TpIn. It work great for small sewing projects and especially doll clothes.
Thank you
So many ads! Every 2 to 3 minutes...
I'm not sure why so many ads are on this one. It may be the length of the video is a bit longer than usual.
