Tip: Going north of Goodsprings is a shortcut that will go straight to New Vegas. Ignore the signs, there's just some annoying fly like creatures up there. They're pretty harmless.

Bro those flies are NOT harmless, it's almost impossible to get pass those bugs, the death claws, rad scorpions, and the raiders outside New Vagas combat and xp wise it's just easier to go the whole way round
Make sure you head straight to Quarry Junction. Great early game loot and quests there!
Definitely and make sure to hug all the giant wasps their sting buffs your strength.

1:22 Sorry but this build is bad, Charisma is a dump stat in NV, it barely does anything useful, even if you want to make a charisma based build you will ideally dump charisma to 1, select the skill speech (ironically speech is one of the best skills in the game) and put the 4 extra attribute points on the other SPECIAL attributes.
Don't apologize, objectively _this is bad_ and people watching need to know not to do this... Do exactly what this comment says instead, drain charisma and tag speech as a skill.

Step 1. download a stability mod, as the game is as spaghetti coded as it can possily be, so even though you have a top tier pc you may actully have performance issues.
You can watch all the guides you want, build your character a hundred different ways it won’t make any difference. The game was rigged from the start.
You guys must not know new Vegas at all, charisma is completely useless in the game vs 3 & 4, if you start a play through of new Vegas always set charisma at 1

My personal pro tip is play fallout 3 instead but play New Vegas for its dlc since it was superior to fallout 3 dlc. The obvious also being don't bother playing on a console and do pc with the mods recommend by the other chads.

Dump cha and dump luck... Unless your trying to bankrupt vegas then you need at least a 9 luck...
Also 2 luck is worse then 1 luck
Crit hits are crucial tho. Luck nice for that.
