When I got the series X in February I also bought an xbox one x for my kids for a great deal and it's almost as good and I say almost as good as a series x . (Except for loading games ,God it takes forever on a one x compared to the series X is the only thing.
Imagine if FF7 remake hit the Xbox One X on release along side PS4 Pro. It would of been another 4K UHD enhanced game, it would of been higher fidelity on Xbox One X. I'm sure playstation didnt want that!! (Xbox One X might have loaded the apartment door texture). xD!!!! It would of been an instant win for xbox. Haha.

Yup love mine, got it for $183 dollars (white), just like new. Beautiful 4K gaming, even newer games like Atomic Heart, Evil West etc. Honestly graphically there is little difference between it and the Series X. Very minor if so. Just get an SSD and you're golden. FPS is always steady as well.
I have an XSX, but I still regularly use my XOX because I moved it to the living room. Great console. Although, when I use it I'm now acutely aware of the sluggishness of the menu. I use an external SSD, but I'm considering installing an internal one.

You must wear glasses then, because there is a huge difference between the 2. One x lacks attention to detail, still a fantastic console, but it's becoming outdated..

Its because consoles nowadays are good to game on for longer imo. Not everyone needs 4k 60. I have friends that are happy with OG Xbox One still. If you grew up in the 90s or 00s PS1, PS2, Xbox, GC, Wii eras.... even an OG Xbox One or PS 4 is way better. Consoles now are starting to last longer with gamers that dont care about the top performance that much.

I don’t understand why Microsoft discontinued every version of the Xbox one including the Xbox one x, they could have just discontinued the original Xbox one and keep producing the Xbox one x and the Xbox one s considering that they were only a couple years old at the time that they were discontinued, imagine discontinuing a console that was released only 3 years prior
Yup the Series X is just a One X with faster load times, slightly new GPU, and CPU. You can't even tell a difference in most games. Just framerate. And nothing new on the Series X make it worth it. Where do most people think the Series X got it's name from...ONE X. haha
It's a shame they don't support the One X anymore. I used to play modded Fallout 4 on my One X and it took amolst 3 minutes with the average interior taking almost a minute. On my Series X it takes 5 seconds and interiors 3-5 seconds.
They should of never released the Series S. They should of discontinued the Xbox One base model, and the One S. The Xbox One X should of stayed along side of the Series X. One X and Series X are both 4k gaming machines and it would of been easier to port games on both. Series S is a 1080p machine and caused problems because of how weak it is.

So I have this console. And I also have a series S. I will tell you one thing. The series S is way faster for loading. But the Xbox One X has way better graphics. They are much sharper. For example I was playing division 2 on my series S. And then I started playing it on my one X. And oh my God. It looks way better on the Xbox One X

A great console. There is a noticeable difference 5hough with attention to detail with say rain droplets, shadows stuff like that, tree tops and stuff just in general. The series s in 4k 120hz looks fantastic. One x is only 30fps which is also noticeable compared to 60 and definitely 120fps.
if i were you you or get someone to deep clean inside it looks very dirty inside and renew the thermal paste on the cpu and renew the thermal pads on the gpu and chips it will make it run cooler .

Same. They both have their advantages in certain games. And both have drawbacks. Xbox One X main drawback for me is the lack of BIG games . PS4 Pro drawback for me is lack of anti aliasing and no 4k gaming.

If you want to enjoy single player story mode games than go with PS5 because you will love all exclusives games on it and if you want to play online multiplayer competitive games than xbox series X will be good option

I still play on it but I’m mostly on my series X because I’m buying games for but all I know I had to delete some games and put it on my Xbox one X so that’s why I still got my Xbox one and it’s not going nowhere. Really when I look at it side-by-side there really ain’t no difference only difference is higher resolution and take up a lot of gigabytes, space and storage a quick resume. oh, and not to mention the exclusive background along with faster times
Luckily for you. Replacement disc drives for the One X is super simple to install!! And they are cheap. Its literally plug and play replacing it. Only thing you do is take the board off the old one and put it on the new one before installation. No soildering or anything required.

What do you mean? Do a SSD install, or use an external SSD? Can you play games directly off an external SSD?

The only reason why I used Xbox one x is because Madden the digital version cost 60-70 and the cd version cost less than the digital version
