So cute! Love the fact that most of your supplies came from $tree! I do have a question, since the vinyl covered the entirety of the front of the wooden sign what purpose does painting it serve?
The door hanger is very nice. I have a question for everyone. If you use hot glue (I use gorilla glue) and you hang the door sign on the door between door and storm door will the glue melt in the heat and therefore make it fall apart?
Thank you! I have only had one craft fall apart that I hung on the door outside. It was very smooth metal on wood. Other then that I haven’t had a problem. Gorilla glue is great!
Does the chalk paint work different than acrylic? I have tried to paint those metal signs with acrylic and it just does not work. I end up having to spray paint it.
So you couldn’t see the unfinished wood through the vinyl. It’s pretty thin and I wasn’t sure if you would be able to see through the white sections of the vinyl

It adheres better to these metal words then the acrylic paint. I like using it for most things because it takes less coats and it dries faster.
