About time we start competing again!
What I absolutely love about the drift and car scene in general in Japan is how everything is so clean and well done. They seem really passionate about it but also very invested in their cars.
that’s just japan in general from what i see as an american
@@yung_perry I wish more people would take inspiration on these Japanese guys. I went to a drift event last week in the south of France, it was the polar opposite of this, very cool but pure chaos with pretty much every drivers on the track at the same time, some pros (with Daigo Saito’s corvette funnily enough), some amateurs and some, like me, learning with a coach. Complete chaos even when it comes to the cars, some were really clean and at the same time there was an old Mercedes diesel without a bonnet, mismatched wheels etc
@@Charlie-Charlot Its the same thing in Germany. Local drift events look like destruction derbys with completley destroyed and low effort tuned BMWs.
@@thatopendiffdude9109 yeah it’s kind of sad because it gives a bad image to the sport and drives the wrong crowd sometimes. Missiles cars are fun and cool but there’s a lot more to drifting than that, similarly than there’s more than just FD/D1GP. I think the main problem is that some part of Europe got a bit late into drifting and got into it with its emergence on social media rather than knowing and understanding its true origin with its culture. There’s obviously a lot of knowledgeable people out here but maybe the average drift enthusiast isn’t as much as they are in Japan
@@Charlie-Charlot Personally I am a fan of the euro-style missiles. They embody the low-budget, high-send spirit of drifting I think. May I ask, what track did you guys run?
Mr yoshida has a really cool s14! That livery looks amazing and the whole build is very clean
R33 was on fire
Noriyaro - "I don't think I've ever done that.." proceeds to post clip of him doing it 😂
👊🏾
Still, he didn't ride the ripple strip. He was inside of it the whole time, and his slip angle was much shallower.
17:06 holy that was absolutely amazing, what a skill from the driver
Gold jzx was my favorite
This level of drifting is so much more interesting to watch than the big crazy builds, something more down to earth and up to driver skill. Some interesting match ups too!
D1 with Pro-Succ
The first guy was saying how it would be driver skill holding him back - clip then proceeds to cut to him absolutely ripping it into a corner, his skill is amazing! I don’t think I’d be ever able to do that. Can’t believe that his car runs on stock breaks, but it’s like belt belt level driving where he knows the way the car reacts to stock
This is an enjoyable level of competition
really love that black R33
Blowing off the bad juju at the end with compressed air was hilarious
that r33 was consistently doing hot entries lap after lap
Do it!! You should 100% enter even if it’s only for the experience more than anything
Alexi, you have nothing to lose by entering. What you will learn and gain in experience is priceless! Great content as always!
The only thing you will definitely lose by competing is money, heaps of it. 😅
Ah, the competition you've been meaning to enter for eons and a competition you would do well in even with almost stock power.
But your cars are just sponsored and changed too much to the point they don't see the track in 12mo+, so spending that time in shops, which, time for a car spent in shops in Japan is apparently and literally playing with fire.
So car burns up as a result.
(which... started as a joke but now I realize how accurate it is lol)-
I mean think about it, entering with the S15 as is, immediately, right now, is infinitely better than NOT entering with the S15 and the S15 keeps getting parts thrown into it without testing & refinement and fire hazard going up exponentonally, m'i wrong?
Translate to me proceeding to get utterly bombarded from here lol
I mean I get this gist of what you're saying 😅
So you're saying driving a car is better than it catching fire?? Lol
@@JohnClark-ew8dh Patently so! 🤣
Just my 3rd person perspective, but the JZX's might do better at Mobara because of the inline 6's ability to produce torque in that big sweeper, whereas Nikko's corners seem tighter, and more suitable for perhaps lower powered 4 cylinders, focusing more on car handling than need for power to bring it out of the big turn(s).
One of the only channels where I am so excited for the intro. Like I am even excited for it while watching the prologue(or what u wanna call the cuts in at the beginning) - perfect music and clips. Awesome video, like always. :)
few years ago i wanted to build an s13 to this spec but prices are insane now, i am glad i got my ps13 when i did though i bought it for drifting i have not actually taken it to my local track due to how prices are now just insane on these over here. S15 is in a similar bracket imo but if you still have the beercan maybe that would be a great project for something like this, give it another life of sorts
Awesome vlog. Great to see some competition racing. Thank you for covering tires, car set up and circuit technique. Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the good work.
If you want to compete, you should consider doing a collab with Mike Kojima from MotoIQ (or at least check out his videos on suspension geometry).
1:38 daynom templeman D1NZ colours on the black thing
This video makes me miss Alexi's JZX. That was my favorite car of his since we don't have them in the States
lol @ the outro clip of Alexi blowing the rubber particles off his clothes.
RIP your lungs.
Another motivational bunch of clips that are leaning me towards getting a jzx lol. Also Alexi, can you vouch for powervehicles? Importing a drift ready car to the US seems like a dumb idea but who ever said I make good decisions :^) I want a jzx so bad lol
PV was the best buying experience ever for me- bought two and now that I live in Japan I'm kicking myself for not scooping up an S15 shell from them when I had the chance- highly recommend
It seems like the jzx cresta would be the perfect car for this 🤔
it looks like an entry level comp but although the cars have a normal build in terms of parts and engine, it seems that the handling and setup are well armed.
looking forward to seeing what you get!
best wishes!
i was building a car back in 2019 to send over to japan to enter d1 divisional as a bucket list type thing for 2020
well we all know what happen that absolutely murdered that idea
the caged shell is currently rotting away in my backyard as a reminder of how covid screwed me
Can still happen- we're getting organized to support those dreams for people that want an alternative from the Ebisu route-Cheers
What’s going on with the ol’ cresta? 😊
hopefully cresta will come in action
omg the footage of the pre-charred jzx100 ripping mobara
Cresta content at last?
S13 best chassis ever! Change my mind? - btw Alexi I wanna see you drift events!!!
Hope Alexi pulls out the cresta for this one 👀 👀
can someone turn off that anoying alarm..... or pick up the phone... or drive over the pa system... anything pls
Time to get the cresta done
現地でギャラリーしてましたが、話しかける勇気が足りませんでした(笑)
Divisional seems the closest to the old school D1SL vibe (peak of competition imo) which is so cool to see. Much more relatable feel to it than GP/FD/DMEC. Side note, you should definitely setup the Cresta for doing divisional. Little homage to competing in the Mk2 and the S15 gets to retain its current setup/duties
you will doing just fine Alexi,, you have the skill... BUT!!! your car does really needs maintenance tho
if i have a 1 wish i would wish for you to get 1mill keep your contents up never give up love you❤❤❤❤❤❤
enter Alexi! divisional is super fun x
Love hearing about each driver's setup. Any chance for Meihan content? I'm aware it's a 5-hour drive from Tokyo but I am hoping to see that happen some day!
Noriyaro, I am so jealous with your car. I really really want an s15 silvia and 240sx. I wish I have a talent so I could work in Japan and buy a drift car there.
Yeah what ever just do it mate, fair suck of the sav if you don't hahaha give us Aussies what we want. Alexi bringing it home 2025 champ 🏆
alexi do you use a dslr camera for these vlogs? or a phone or gopro? thanks! love from NY!
The S14 from Yoshidi is soo well speced. It would be perfect vor Alexi.
And would be perfect when Alexi would compeed in this series. Just do it Alexi 😁
Why learn drifting if you arent going to battle other people?
Because drifting is fun enough and my wallet couldn't handle my cock ups. 😅
There's no faster way to learn by doing it, and there's no faster way to learn by losing!
That yellow S15 driver clearly has more car than talent. That wheel work was pitiful.
No surprise he crashed right after 😂
please help me find out what wheels the orange & black Mark II JZX was running
timestamp 22:50
11:22 I love hearing your opinion, personally I think it would be cool to see a deep dive of each run and what scores well or loses points, proximity, smoke, speed, etc from a judges perspective.
9:18 (happens at 9:22) that was really impressive and blew me away.
This sounds exciting. When are we seeing maintenance on the S15?
You already know I jumped on the Chiba Damashi video 😎
Another cool video. Thanks for making this cool content. Cheers from NYC mate!🏍🤘👍
Line, speed and angle is how I reckon drifting should be judged, style is subjective
I mean, I would love a Noriyaro2 video of Asseto corsa practice with Kyle.
Yeah Alex obviously haven’t been a sub long enough to remember your competition days like most people going to be fun watching you compete those 2 JZX some stuff competition it’s not about the winning it’s about taking Part and doing your best
When society is so beaten down that your drift course is literally one turn. Also, If you see a blonde asian, bring ear plugs...
Loving the regular uploads but I have been wondering whatever happened to his shop? He got the space and made a video about it and I've seen nothing about it since that I can recall.
sooo uhhh, when is the s15 getting a beercar skyline wrap and alexi goes drifting?
anyone know the wheels at 22:10 ? I saw them at a local drift day on a jzx100 and have been curious ever since lol
the judges turning blind eye to things cos it looks cool. i kinda like that, it shouldnt be overlooked imo, id hand out points for free for anyone on 3 pieces hahha
Anyone else trying to spot a rouge dannydc2 somewhere in the background?
Must've been another meet that a Ford Falcon was taken to, mind you it also broke at the start of the meet
Noriyaro Tournament Arc
that blue 180sx drift was soo clean!
for some reason i want to see someone pull up to one of these comps with a dodge hellcat.
Dip your toe into anything.
You never know what will be ~
If you don't Try and see ~
Anyone still running CA18's? Would love to see some of them :D
If you consider yourself a drifter but can’t/don’t left foot brake you need to improve your skill drastically. Footbraking makes a handbrake almost completely worthless if you use it correctly.
Croud funding! Alexi for D1 grand prix dreams! Lol
Not the in n out shirt 😂
I loved the interview in the begening on the video.
We need more japanese on your videos brother!
the speed master sticker on pink jzx90 reminds me of txr3
Love it, also to see and hear all these SR's. 👍
For the people who talking trash about SR's that they are not reliable and for drifting.
Alexi post a new video? I liked the video before even started!!
Project Mu? That's clever I like that.
please participate! would be really cool to see you drive in this.
🗾Well done Australian Mr. Sparkle!.
17:20 Please do it! I would love to see you driving around this corner
i wish drifting still drew the crowds and attention it had in the early 2000s
I had no idea Silver Rayleigh was a D1 judge ...
Is that an NSX wheel on front of the dark green 180?
So whens the cresta out and thrashing for d1 lights??
what a weird type of drifting, which I started to not understand after beeing involved in european/american rules...no zones, no clips, no strict line (cause even a guy, who drove in quali, don't know what judges expected to see). Simply how to run away cutting whole 90* corners on the run up, then double flick with pedal to the metal. This is entry level. Expert level going to lights and gp is adding ONE TRANSISION. Nothing more, cause on the third corner both guys would not even now where they landed...seriuosly something stoked to be a part of?
The whole point is that it's not EU/American rules 👌
@@noriyaro and to like to don't know how to win and why lose? 🙂 Don't get me wrong, I'm not an internet hater, cause it could sound like that. Overall ofcourse simply keep drifting fun 🙂 buta damn this style is sooo weird...I talk like that cause I feel, like even JAPANESE concept of drifting was other then this..
The Cresta might do well in a power track like this👀
No Nikko squat please. You're better than that bro.
Don't let your dreams be dreams Alexi!!!
“Not one single V8” the way it should be.
You honestly have the best intro on RUclips
that old pic of you seated in front of your jzx goes so hard
Such a fun level of competition. Well sorted cars with 400hp or so and simple layouts
These types of videos are the best types of videos
Let's get the R32 Beercan content already!!!
I WANT THIS GODDAMN RACING CARRR
