Is there a way to keep my eq on flat and just change the bass and treble to whatever I like ? I'm confused why wouldn't they have a bass a treble control?
The Pioneer DEH-X6600BT features a Preset & Custom EQ. The built-in equalizer offers 7 preset sound modes (Powerful, Dynamic, Vocal, Natural, Custom 1, Custom 2, and Flat) suitable for the music genre of your choice. The two Custom modes allow you to manually adjust the head unit's 5-band EQ (80Hz, 250Hz, 800Hz, 2.5kHz, 8kHz) from +/-6dB. Custom 1 can be set separately for each source (except for USB/iPod/Pandora); while Custom 2 and the other 5 presets are shared settings used for all sources. Hope that helps! --Crutchfield
I have the DEH-X6810BT and it will not bluetooth pair with my iPhone 6 (running on iOS 9.2). Do you have advice? I followed the instructions of the manual book

This radio has been discontinued for about 10 years now. The current model, the DEH-S6220BS model, has a few preset EQ curves with names as follows: Powerful, Natural, Vocal, Super Bass, Dynamic, Vivid, and Flat. You can create your own custom EQ curves and save them as Custom 1 or Custom 2. You can find the current model here: www.crutchfield.com/I-rFBKc227/p_130DS6220B/item.html

i have this radio and I was changing the colors and i was wondering how to change the custom color from white to like a purple or something not listed in the preset colors. Thanks!
+Chet Rodrigue You can customize an illumination color by manually adjusting the red, blue and green brightness levels to get the color you want. You can find more detailed information about how to do this on page 15 in the owner's manual. I hope that helps. --Crutchfield
Is there away to communicate without pushing the phone button everytime you want to talk to someone? Is there away to reset it to be able to talk back and forth without pushing button? If so how do you do so?
You can manually answer an incoming call from the front panel controls or have the unit automatically answer the call. The DEH-X6600BT allows you to carry on a phone conversation from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone using the head unit's external microphone and your car audio speakers. During a conversation you can adjust the volume, as well as switch between the Private Mode (talking directly on your cell phone) and the Hands Free Mode. I hope that helps. --Crutchfield

Hi Crutchfield , Need your expertise advice, I have DEH-x6750BT, everything thing connected properly audio works with bluetooth , Only thing is not working is when i make phone call to someone i can't hear no one they can here me. Already turn off the Private mode during call but still can't heat the other parties. Thank you in advanced.

Bt problems. I pair it and it works great with music and incoming calls. But when I turn off my bt on my iPhone and turn it back on the stereo will no longer receive calls but will still play bt music from my phone. I have to repair it to my phone and then it will receive calls agin. I have to re pair every time I turn my bt off or go out of range for the phone function to work properly
That's not an issue that we've come across with this model before. You may want to try contacting Pioneer's support at 800-421-1404 to see if they have a solution for you. Hope that helps! --Crutchfield
During a call, caller´s voice is heard from right door speaker only Also bluetooth songs are heard lower compare to radio stations any suggestions for this issues ?
Not sure why you only get the caller's audio through the passenger's side speaker. The unit does offer a "Source Level Adjustment" in the Audio settings menu that allows you to set the volume of the different sources to the same level. You may want to check the speaker wiring in the harness to correct the passenger side audio during calls. That should be coming from the driver's side speaker. Hope that helps! --Crutchfield
Hi, how can I reset my DEH-X6600BT car stereo because it's not showing in the initial setting there is only two options first is SP-P/0 MODE and second is S/W UPDATE only these two settings show in the initial settings. Hi crucified I need your help on a DEH-X6600BT. Everything works on it until one day I started my car and it stopped playing music so I looked at and it has a Loc icon on the screen or known as demo mode and how do I take that off.??
Cody Luedtke To turn demo mode off, press the Master Control Knob to display the main menu, turn the M.C. knob to change the option to "System" and press in on the knob to select. Turn the M.C. knob to display 'Demo Off" and press in on the knob to select the option. Turn the knob one more to select "Yes" and press in on the knob to select. If you continue to have issues with no audio, you can reset the unit by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a minute or, unplugging the harness from the back of the stereo for the same amount of time.Hope that helps!--Crutchfield
You can select from 5 preset colors (White/Red/Amber/Green/Blue), customize an illumination color (by adjusting Red/Blue/Green brightness levels), or scan through a variety of colors. If you press & hold the master control knob when in the "Key Color" or "Disp Color" menu option, the custom color adjustment option will appear. From here, you can adjust the individual primary colors of Red, Green & Blue to make your own custom color. This process is covered on page 15 of the Pioneer Owner's Manual. Hope that helps! --Crutchfield
Press the Master Control Knob to display the main menu. Turn the M.C. knob to display “Illumi”, then press in on the M.C. knob to select the option. Turn the M.C. knob to display either “Key Color” to select the illumination color of the keys or “Disp Color” to select the color for the display. This is covered on page 15 of the Pioneer Owner’s manual. Hope that helps! --Crutchfield

Is there any way to select what playlist is a "default" playlist when my iPhone or iPad connect to the 6600BT on startup? Right now, it accesses "All Songs" and starts with the A's in alphabetical order. I would rather have a playlist I have as a favorite start instead.
The Pioneer will begin playing the first song in the first folder (Alphabetically) of your USB mass storage device. Them means; you should be able to title the folder you want to hear with “AA” to have it default to the files you want to play when you connect the drive. Hope that helps. --Crutchfield
That helps with a USB storage unit when I create one, but will that work with my iPhone as well? It seems that All Songs is above any Playlist I create - is there a way to have it look at the Playlists selection instead of the Songs selection on the iPhone?
Chris O'Loughlin Not without re-titling your music files (not recommended). My stereo is the same way. If I haven't listened to the stored music on my iPhone in awhile, it defaults to the first song alphabetically when connected. It's a minor annoyance for me as I just select what I want to hear shortly after connection. You can also select a song/playlist on your iPhone prior to connecting it. The stereo should pick up where you "left off" when connected. Hope that helps! --Crutchfield
I have this radio but I can't find the fader adjustment. Also I have a problem my rear pair of 6x8 ds68 coaxial speakers are only playing bass but no other sounds(vocals or background music). Is this fixable with a setting in the radio or is it a possible speaker connection issue. By the way my headunit And speakers are powered by the factory amp in the trunk of my 2007 ford taurus And I don't have a aftermarket subwoofer or amplifier installed pls help!!! Btw my front pair of ds68 coaxial speakers work fine it's just the rear two
Too access the fader adjustment, press the Master Control knob to display the main menu. Turn the M.C. knob until “Fader” appears in the display. (Fader is not an available adjustment when ‘SW’ is selected in ‘Rear-SP’) This is likely why you do not have access to Fader and have only bass coming from the rear speaker channels. If so, after pressing the M.C. knob to access the main menu, turn the knob until “Rear-SP” appears in the display and press in on the knob to select the option. Turn the M.C. knob to toggle between ‘Ful’ & ‘SW’. Be sure this is set to ‘Ful’ before exiting the menu. You should now find ‘Fader” as an option in the main menu and should also get full-range sound from your rear speaker pair. Hope that helps! --Crutchfield
DDEMENTED96 Sorry I left out a step for the “Rear-SP” adjustment. This is covered on page 16 of the Pioneer Owner’s manual: Press & Hold the ‘SRC/OFF’ button until the unit turns off. Then press the M.C. knob to access the main menu. Turn the knob until “Rear-SP” appears in the display and press in on the knob to select it. Be sure to select “Ful” for this setting before exiting the menu. Hope that helps. --Crutchfield

Per Pioneer, this indicates an electrical or mechanical error. They recommend you turn the ignition off and back on or switch to a different source and then back to CD. If you got your receiver here, you can call our Tech Support. Their direct number is on your invoice.
The only way ThaT we can Talk on The radio is by pushing The private on buTTon and we have To release iT for us To hear The oTher person how do we do only hands free is there a setting that we are missing
That definitely doesn't sound like normal operation. You should be able to toggle between "private" and "normal" Bluetooth hands-free by pressing the "Band" button while on a call. If the other party cannot hear you when in "normal" mode, the Pioneer microphone may not be attached properly or is malfunctioning. Hope that helps, --Crutchfield
BT problem. It paired just fine with my iphone 4s when I installed it 3 days ago but just yesterday for some reason it wouldn't recognize it and said "Error 10". I unpaired my phone and tried to re-pair it hoping that would fix the problem but now it says "No Service" and it won't pair on my phone. How do I fix this?
"Error 10" is listed in the owner's manual as "An electrical or mechanical error" with the recommendation to switch the ignition to "off" then back to "On" again. It also mentions switching to a different source and then back to your desired source. If you continue to have issues, you can contact our tech support (if you purchased from Crutchfield) at the toll-free number on the back of your invoice. If you purchased the unit elsewhere and the retailer will not help, you may want to contact Pioneer directly: 800-421-1404 Hope that helps! --Crutchfield

If you purchased the unit elsewhere and the retailer will not help, you may want to contact Pioneer directly: 800-421-1404
Hope that helps!
