For someone who has just started revit after using Autocad for the last 15 years this is pure gold. I really needed to see this video to finally have enthusiasm for the program. Window families are still killing me, I can’t seem to import any into revit on my one month free trial
No need to apologize for length of video(s)! The repetition of commands in this video is a great way for my old brain to get a solid grasp that I'll remember tomorrow! Question regarding #19 Dutch Gable: you adjusted lower roof slope to 25 but left upper roof slope at 30. If slopes were matched, you'd still have horizonal line where roofs touch, but in real construction these regions would be continuous. If we matched slopes in this case, can we 'merge' the two roofs into one and perhaps the line/boundary would go away?
Quick question - with the example number 8, the mansard roof. The way that he's modeled it, it's essentially using two roofs. However the section shows a big flaw - because of the differing thicknesses, once the roofs have a vertical edge, the steeper roof has a much deeper edge, so there's a clear discrepancy there. Is there a way to neatly bridge that connection?
Hi, is it possible to add timestamps for the different types of roofs in the video so that it's easier to go to one specific type? This will be greatly appreciated.
Greetings from Mexico City. I would like to ask you in which of your cousers I can study the way of including the paint as a finish in walls. As you konw, Tags include the last material of a wall face, however, being a thin material, paint can not be created as a material. I need to get a schedule that cointains all the information of the paint as a finish material (color, code, trade mark, etc.). Thank you very much
love the vids Balkan, can you tell me how to do a flat roof on a circle structure (like the one you use for the dome roof) but instead of completely flat put a 5degree slope from the front of the building down to the back of the building? (I then would like to offset below that a sloping ceiling at the same angle with a void about 300mm) cheers
With the dome roof, would anybody know what the error message "Can't Make Roof" means, when trying to turn dome into a roof by using roof by face, been having issues and can't figure out why the error keeps happening?
Mr. Balkan Architect: Would it be possible for you to edit this video with time stamps? That would be really helpful! Another excellent video tutorial!
Good Day sir, With all your roofs, still not helping me with the one I am sitting with, Maybe I can send you the file and you can help. this guy has a room area with a slope of about 15 degrees to the front but there is a parapet built right around and a gutter at the end but it has a profile that is not square and it is a corrugated roof
I do not see a warped roof.....as in 2 high points of same value....² low points of different values....maybe u have done I just don't see it and how would you go about creating.
Yep, another one who does not care about rafters connections, purlin design, concrete ring beams, insulation, battens etc. This is what actually defines the roof in BIM, not an angled rectangle. Why do you guys even need a powerful BIM software, if you may draw rectangles in 3D Max?

Idk what I would do without your videos. They should make your youtube channel a mandatory class at my university.
I am wondering if all universities are deficient in this regard at this point.

This clip is so underrated!
Thanks Balkan Sir for this Revit video.
great we always recommend your channel
Once again you've saved me,I needed the saltbox type, but the rest is also very usefull, I've saved this video, kind regards.
Sir you're really a lifesaver!!! Thank you so much for your videos😭❤️
Thank you for this tutorial. It helped me a lot!
Thank you so much
You a life saver. Just in time for my submission.
Hey BA, thank you for this content it helped me so much.
I was having some trouble to make a simple dutch roof 😓 but now i know an easy way. 😎
Loved it!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us!!
I really enjoyed the video so thank you for this

One thing your missing! Presentation when printing and using correct line work! :) A whole course could be added for this!
very useful video man Thank you so much Balkan 👌🏼

Thank u for ur help. U r the best one👍👍
Hy, how do you make that Text that is visible in 3D too ? Best regarda
SUPER SUPER HELPFUL.
I want to know if There is in your tutorials a full project done Revit_Architectural and Civil.
Nice Explanation😍
Is it possible to combine two different roof types in revit? I have a flat and gable roof design. Thanks
Thank you so much, Sir. Very good explanation.
Hi
How to model a slab projection with bottom tapper (top straight)
Hello, I have such a question how to change the height of a line in a specification in Revit

you could use one layer wall as a paint with thickness and all additional info that you need if you need it just for a schedule
@@vladyslavreznychenko5173 thank you
Hi Balkan when I start drawing my roof, the first line appears way too low from my wall, Please let me know.

I was looking for advanced roof tools to make more complex roofs. Unfortunately the tutorial didn't cover them. Thanks anyway.
With the dome roof, would anybody know what the error message "Can't Make Roof" means, when trying to turn dome into a roof by using roof by face, been having issues and can't figure out why the error keeps happening?
Awesome tutorial!
nice toturial!
Thanks alot sir.

Greetings from Nigeria

thank you
The M shaped roof part does not seem to work as it just says it can make the extrusion
Great 😊

wonderful

Very nice
You know the line that appears when you are going to draw a roof, that line appears in the low part of my walls.
Can not go back 10 second on gambrel roof without it skipping to next roof😂
Hi guyz I'am jid and… a great news ip
