Excellent summary of recent events. Looking forward to the Chinese space industry video as well, you probably already know this but Dongfang Hour has the best coverage of it on RUclips at the moment
Thank you for another complete Space Update. I'm really upset about Blue Origins Lawsuit, this is really disruptive for the business, setting a bad precedent in the industry. Sue competition, cause legal waves, buy time for projects and disrupting the competition. I really "hope" the government, eventually the courts will set in a make ruling this sort thing is not good for anyone.
Dave, I really like these videos. I think you should do one a week now. It seems that space is picking up and we are getting tons of news 🗞️ every week
Elon. Called them Sue Origin today. They are really becoming a joke And it’s shocking how many contracts they win when they have achieved nothing. Sometime they will have to launch New Glen and let’s see
Wallops isn't the only new launch site for Firefly Alpha: the company just announced that they're planning on launching from Esrange, in Sweden. They won't be launching from there in the near future -- the pad they'll use is part of the site's Phase II orbital launch development plan, and I don't think even Phase I is complete -- but it's an interesting sign of where Firefly sees themselves going.
@@daveginvesting I can almost understand Wallops, if they're planning on giving up on Cape Canaveral. Rocket Lab chose to avoid the Cape years ago due to overcrowding, and it certainly hasn't gotten better since -- this being the actual complaint behind Blue Origin's latest lawsuit. If Firefly sees which way the wind is blowing and decides to move to a smaller complex where they've already got an "in," I can see where they're coming from. The deal with Esrange makes less sense. I don't think it affords them any more orbital inclinations than their existing Vandenberg pad, and won't be online for years. Maybe they're hoping to capture the European payload market, but I still can't make myself believe that shipping the rocket to Sweden could be cheaper than shipping the payload to California.
Great Video. ASTS killed the short thesis time after time, seems it is ready to explode. Block 1 ready for launch August/September. Deals with ATT and Verizon give the major institutional backup needed.
@@daveginvesting it is at a very early stage. This is a 200B business in the making. ATT estimates $2 per month per customer 50-50 split on estimated 30-40%, margin of operations is 95% once the sat is up it is virtually free, Deutsche gives a top price of $690 might be a lot but it should get to $200 by 2030. A lot of space for growth
Hey Dave, just curious to hear your thoughts on Virgins reverse stock split. Can they make a turn around or is this possibly the beginning of the end for them?
I think that sort of Anti-competitive law would only lead to Europe falling further and further behind. Basically just admitting that they can't compete with non-european offerings. What do you think?
@@daveginvesting Agreed, regulation is killing Europe. I heard a quote once, "USA innovates, China copies, Europe regulates". But my question was more, do you think they will pass such a law?
It's the best way for the World that every Nation's Space business is their own business. Nations should serve their own interest first, and compete freely and fairly with other Nations. For example, EU Space is for EU, US Space for US, India Space Is for India, and so on. I live in the US where I hold Space shares, so I cheer for US Space successes, and clap hands for Space achievements of Nations friendly to us. I do not cheer or clap for Space achievements of Nations that are not our friends, for example, China and Russia, and others. I just watch and wait. It's the Natural way of life.
@@geopoli3735 You're right, and allied cooperation is happening as we speak. The NASA Artemis accords, Space nations signing up. Over 40 now. Of course China has their program, signing up Eastern and Asian nations, and Africans. {NOT India, whose Space efforts are aligning with the US. India has a 30 year war going on in the high mountains with China in a border dispute.) Then we have the US-led "Five Eyes Alliance", the National Security interests of 5 countries, US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. This is the reason Rocket Lab was allowed to set up shop in the US, and launch US Interests on ELECTRON from New Zealand.
What the fuck with Jeff Besos. A man that connot compete with spacex in a regular manner, so he goes on with lawyers to defend himself. Where is this Blue Company going anywhere!!! If the boss would be a good competitor rather than using lam tactics.

Yes I have seen he is quite popular!

Yep, definitely not what you want to see.
Great work Dave.
Hop off of Vince’s stream right to this!!
Nice! I was there a bit as well
And so was I
Me too😊

Yeah too many lawsuits for sure! Hopefully, they get New Glenn off the ground this year.
Great job Dave.

I find it a bit odd, surprised they feel Alpha has demand for so many launch sites.

Nice Dave, keep the RDW updates coming 👍 😊
Hoping to have a good Redwire video coming soon.
It’s getting quiet on Twitter, calm before the fire!
MDA Space up 13.48% today
Yep, big contract for their Canadarm3!

The stock seems like it's already exploded to me if you compare it to the lows!

Boeing & NASA need to analyze the valves at the ISS since they the problems are in the module that burns up in the atmosphere.
Is the planet lab cuts relating to their take up of Nvidias, ai platform onboarding
How ironic. A robinhood ad from youtube

Personally I would say the odds are against them turning it around unfortunately.
@daveginvesting I assumed that but have been trying to ignore the red flags all around 🤣 thank you for your opinion, it helps make my decision easier
@davidhartman007 sorry it hasn't worked out for you

Sue Origin is back. It is a shame. "Hey FAA, we do not think you are doing your job right".
ESA is pronounced as a word (rhymes with Lisa) just like NASA, JAXA and ISRO, rather than as three letters like FBI, CIA, IRS.
Dave another Boeing whistleblower came out today talking about their 787 now. What a mess.
