Can FSD Save Tesla Stock or am I Doomed?
Most of US politicians invested in Boeing shares. Hence such resilience for change, short cuts made and secrecy all around. Guess why?
The most cost-effective solution is to ask Chinese or Russian to safely bring them back home.
StallLinger, ShitWhiner, StallLonger, BeanCounter 1, StarLiar. The idea was to build a reusable spacecraft. Instead, Boeing screwed NASA and us with 1970’s Shuttle technology that is expendable. Only the capsule would be returned, and Boeing can’t even pull that off. The rest of it is jettisoned. That’s not what NASA wanted. So from the start, at more than twice the price the Boeing bean counters screwed America --> AGAIN!
Dave Calhoun is a bumbling beancounter that couldn’t work a can opener. He’s a greedy, Wall Street thief that’s robbing Boeing.
Cost plus are horrible...it incentives beings very late and very over budget
NASA is doing the old switcharoo just like the Loon Bats did with Biden
I have $1,000 that says Boeing is going to kill their astronauts before they get them back to Earth
Only one thing is Boeing is shown they can't be trusted so nasa might take it out of there hands
I wouldn’t take that bet. Chances are I would owe you $1,000.
@@jerrypolverino6025 Update: NASA is apparently negotiating with SpaceX to bring the SLS crew back to Earth on a dragon capsule.
Wow, I really hope not for the sake of the Astronauts!
@@daveginvesting We all hope not except for Boeing. They don’t care about life as they have repeatedly demonstrated.
What was the problem with Starliner again? Was it a leak?
Helium leak was the original issue but now the main problem is with some thrusters apparently
Boeing looks done & finished to me, may as well auction off the space assets, spin off the military as a new firm, & double down on airliners in a bid for survival..... But, I could be totally wrong
Boeing should hire some German rocket scientists, or maybe a South African.. Americans cannot build rockets, they are clunkers, just like their cars.
Or maybe a Kiwi 😆
You'd have to be pretty dumb to believe anything NASA or boing says 👍
Alright Dave, I don't know it it's just me but all the media in your videos are way too loud compared to your speech. It 's like that ever since I started watching you. Not sure if I haven't written about it before but it's annoying so just letting you know.
Boeing is 60% commercial, 40% military, space is a few percent somewhere in there.
Is the new CEO a modified DEI hire.?
No new CEO was picked yet
If they haven't started, SpaceX needs to start building some kind of bridge for Boeings suit to make it compatible with Dragon.
They'll send a capsule with dragon suits for them they have the peoples measurements way easier doing that then to modify life support systems
If true, the legacy company should be forced to give at least $3 billion to the company that's building the baby space shuttle in order to start building a manned version.
When was the official announcement made.
STOP YAPPING SO DAMN MUCH!!!! HOLY CRAP YOU TALK FOR 2:30 BEFORE YOU GET TO ANYTHING OF SUBSTANCE!!!! HOLY FCKING CRAP... BROo!!!! Do you watch these videos, and say, Im going to open my mouth and blather a bunch of nonsense for 2 minutes and 30 seconds before getting to anything that relates to the stock or anything that boeing is doing??? Elon and Tesla can teach Boeing how to perfect a modern manufacturing assembly line.
Well I’ve had a Tesla Y and let me tell you, it’s not that reliable. Lotta little things have gone wrong. If it were in space, I would be in trouble
@@tomdavis8757 I've not owned a Tesla. Still is a great accomplishment that no one thought of to doing in over a hundred years of American car making. SpaceX rockets are holding up ok. That last Falcon 9 problem, a grain of Space debris nicked the fuel line after the protective fairings were released, in my opinion. Boeing's Starliner is a lemon, I think. And Neutron and its Archimedes might be fundamentally flawed, at the design level.
Let me think... Boeing can't build reliable airplanes... There rockets can't be engineered to take off on time, and when they get there everybody breaths a sigh of relief, now they can't get the crew home... Yup, outstanding company... If the shares plummeted to 15 cents, I might take a punt the break up value of the assets might turn a profit...
They need the entire Chicago office of "decision makers" (see "dead wood") axed. Why... why is thier ivory tower of decision making 1500 miles from their engineers and manufacturing people? The C-Suite needs to Go while this Critical company is still worth something. They Did axe the CEO (I would have indicted him as well). Need to see if the new CEO has proper board backing to clean house... otherwise the (so far useless) board needs to go as well.
Yeah, a couple of days ago I would have put good money on the astronauts coming back on Starliner, but if there's a non-zero risk of the thruster problems preventing an optimal deorbit burn, even if small, I can see the modern low-risk-tolerant NASA swinging towards the safer option, since they do have one.
Yeah, I really didn't expect this one
Thanks!
Thanks again Russel!
Might Rocket Lab buy Boeing’s space assets? There aren’t many human rated space capsules around.
Why would they buy trash?
@@beloved_lover everything has a scrap value
I'd say unlikely but I guess anything is possible !
it would be much cheaper for Rocket Lab to develop it on their own, Boeing is still strong and won't be going bankrupt, so there won't be any discounts.
What you’ve said about fixed-price versus cost-plus contracts is entirely accurate. Just as an aside, tho…..NASA- my old agency (I retired from there after 46 years, including 9 years as a Senior Executive), has now mis-used fixed-priced contracts several times; tho, commercial crew is not one of them. Fixed-priced contracts only work if there ALREADY EXISTS a functioning, commercial, competitive ecosystem in the arena in which you are going to issue them. They do NOT work if that particular ecosystem vertical- if that entire industry vertical - is brand new and does not yet exist. That is why, in 2006, when NASA wanted to start to ‘change the paradigm’, it did NOT just issue fixed-price Commercial Resupply Service contracts to supply cargo resupply services to the ISS; there was no such existing, competitive industry to issue them TO, at all. So NASA allocated a paltry $500m TOTAL- over 5 years- to try something different: to try to jump-start such an industry by using cost-sharing, Public-Private Partnerships (the name of that program was called COTS- Commercial Orbital Transportation Services; I was one of many advisors)- & invited new players willing to go get their own funding from somewhere to essentially match NASA funding to meet milestone agreements for a DEVELOPMENT (not operational) program, to initially develop, and demonstrate, such a capability. Two startups were selected who had never flown, called SpaceX, and Kistler. Both were required to meet additional Technical and Fundraising Milestones within a year; SpaceX did- but Kistler failed to do so, so NASA cut them off, held another competition, and selected Orbital Sciences (today, Northrop Grumman). A few years later, when those two were clearly making progress with both their new launchers and their new space vehicles, NASA then said: Ok, we’re ready now to hold a real competition for fixed-prices Services, called Commercial Resupply Services Contract- to which ANY COMPANY can apply-but we expect that at least the two we’ve recently helped nurture will both compete (they did, and won), It worked. Years later, after successful operation, that same pattern was followed to create the Commercial Crew Program human-carrying program; and as we can see, one selectee, SpaceX, has again been wildly successful- but the other, Boeing- in spite of having received more money from NASA than SpaceX- er, less so; and they may even cancel it. A successful crewed test flight is a mandatory part of this program; if NASA has to bring the crew home on Dragon, even if Starliner comes home successfully empty, Boeing has to refly at their own expense- which, since I firmly believe NONE of the senior managers at Boeing have ever really supported the commercial, fixed priced Starliner program to begin with, I don’t believe they’ll advise the new CEO to do; they won’t tell him to ‘pour good money after bad’ as it were. Problem is: We NEED COMPETITION. Boeing has been performing poorly for years now; the Commercial Division at NASA HQ- where I used to work- should already be standing up in the wings, ready to go, an alternative if Boeing fails/pulls out. Really wouldn’t take that much money to move someone to the On-Deck position. - Dave Huntsman
Saying "fixed price contracts" are the problem is admitting that one is in no way competitive to its peers. That is so funny to me.
Hell, it way should be so NASA don't get screwed by commercial companies. Looks like it caught it's first rat that was not living up to the contract.
That is kind of funny!
Boeing is a dinosaur On another note: Did you notice the upgraded battery pack and mention of payload increase with Electron today
I did hear about that! Wonder how much of a difference it makes.
@@daveginvesting the last upgrade boosted the payload by 100kg If anywhere near that, this one is a big deal.
@@PhillhaddadCould a battery upgrade alone accomplish that? It's still the same amount of propellant...
Lighter batteries with increased fuel efficiency? 2:40 Interested to find out @@daveginvesting
August 2020, Rocket Lab announced increased payload of Electron to 225-300 kg (496-661 lb). The payload capacity increase was mainly due to battery advancements. The increased payload capacity allows offset of mass added by recovery technology. In addition, more payload mass could be flown on interplanetary missions and others when Electron is expended.[31] Wikipedia Foe what it's worth
*Remember when you said the astronauts weren't "stranded" as you considered that too "extreme" a thing to say? Boeing as a space company adds tremendous value to RocketLab as a space company. Elon has big bucks, Boeing has big bucks, NASA has big bucks. RKLB has tiny bucks. PB said 2020. Took $100M to get to space. Too much. see X
Not a value-added comment. Elon started SpaceX with $100m- and spent it all after the first three failures of Falcon-1. Had to borrow/use credit cards, whatever, for one, additional, unplanned last try - the 4th- and successful- time. The rest, as they say, is history. - Dave Huntsman
@@dphuntsman Yeh. Poor Elon. Elon sold PAYPAL in 2002. Bummer. Must have been tough to be so connected, established, famous... Poor Elon. A string of successful companies. Enough credit and connection to stand up millions for a 4th launch. "In 2002, eBay acquired PayPal for a whopping $1.5 billion. Musk, the largest shareholder, walked away with $165 million from the sale. Musk used $100 million of this money to found SpaceX in 2002. Simultaneously, he became an early investor in Tesla, which was founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning." What did Peter Beck sell to start RocketLab?
Only if their new CEO is Vastly superior to Boeings old CEO. If DEI is summarily rejected, that will be a good start. Otherwise... Boeing is doomed.

Starship Is the largest to reach orbit! Not "Will be the largest"
Could you do review of Space Themed ETF. Like UFO, etc
Long time Viewer first time commenter... About the Helicopter Catching of the booster, In my view, will work and definitely worth it... The Problem is both the Helicopter itself and the "dumb-Pilot".. meaning... This maneuver will require a new type of helicopter , maybe a quadcopter, faster speed and loitering, or just a new type of chopper. Next, the pilot needs to be Ai assisted and or a two ma operation, like the Jet Fighter team.. there is a Pilot and a Catcher Pilot.
Very good analysis, thank you! Subscribed.
Thanks 😊
In my mind it shows just how possible it could be that RKLB could return similar share price results notwithstanding completion on the launch side vs space systems side. 8x for RKLB much like ASTS is potentially quite possible. How fast will be the question. Using ASTS as an example it shows profitability doesn’t necessarily have to be the trigger.
“Dont invest because they dont have revenue” You don’t believe they’ll make revenue afterwards or are they working for free?
Bought at $4.50 now above $18 in 3 months. I love this company and what it wants to achieve!
AST ❤ RKLB
I'm a big fan of ASTS, thank you for making this video 🎉
No problem, feel free to send more resources my way...
ASTS valuation is 2 billion. To raise cash they have to sell 50% of the float to have $1 billion dollars to launch all those sattelites. As a LMT shareholder since 2021 I have no idea why I would invest in this company. Lockheed has already visited 8 planets. Launching a satellite is for kids. What are we freaking doing here?
ASTS will have to issue more shares. They have 7 million dollars cash on hand. 2 billion for a company that doesn't have revenue and is all about launching satellites into space. There are so many companies that already launch satellites. I don't know what makes this so special.
Where are you getting that 7 million figure? End of Q1 showed over 200 million on the balance sheet.
Their reusability program didn't quite work out as anticipated.
Trillions Dollar market cap
Once revenues from current 5 is extrapolated to faster newer processors for BB2 then money should pour in for prepayments, nfa.
How much revenue can the 1st 5 provide? That must be very spotty coverage until they get more of them up there.
@daveginvesting I wouldn't think much but it serves as a demonstration platform for new deals and hopefully more prepayments. Warrant redemption looking more and more likely 🤞nfa.
Thanks for this, Dave! Here's two reasons to be bullish... Firstly, the FCC has already awarded ASTS some valuable spectrum rights, and it looks like they'll be giving them plenty more. That's spectrum that's then off the table for Starlink. Secondly, 24/7 global satellite-to-mobile coverage will be an enormous military asset to the US and NATO, and there's incentive for them to see ASTS get there as soon as possible, so they'd probably be funders of last resort in the unlikely event that the big mobile network operators don't provide the necessary funding along the way. (And possibly the military angle has some bearing on the FCC's decisions too.)
Thanks for the info!
What happened to the Venus mission?
Lol.. not a holder😂 6030 pat. The only company capable of 5g satellite to any cellphone. 😂
