- Hurricane Beryl strengthened into what experts called an "extremely dangerous” Category 4 storm as it approaches the southeast Caribbean, which began shutting down Sunday amid urgent pleas from government officials for people to take shelter.
Hurricane warnings were in effect for Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Beryl's center is expected to pass about 70 miles (112 kilometers) south of Barbados on Monday morning, said Sabu Best, director of Barbados’ meteorological service.

I'm from Trinidad and it's scary because we're just a small island and don't really ever get storms this south into the Caribbean....they usually hit as south as Barbados but this is so weird and scary

The air is standstill though. No rain or anything. Location, South Trinidad. But the birds are still around so that's good. If the place was dead quiet, then I'd be concerned.

I believe Beryls are American made. I may be mixing them up with another ak platform though.
Beryl is a mineral composed of beryllium aluminium silicate, with trace amounts of chromium and vanadium giving the gem its soft green colour.
