Lips Choir Perform Paparazzi Medley at Union Chapel May 2012

Lips is an all-woman pop choir based in Islington. Formed in summer 2009, the choir has now boomed to over 70 members. We rehearse every week, with a wide repertoire ranging from girl-pop of the 40s, 50s and 60s, to iconic dance and disco tracks, ballads, rock anthems plus the greatest old-school soul and nu-skool R&B numbers.
Some of us have sung in bands and choirs before, some of us just in our showers, but together, we make a nuanced and upbeat wall of sound.
Our members and our influences come from far and wide, and we're just as likely to weave eastern European folk songs into dubstep as we are to belt out no-holds-barred Wham! covers.
Our seasonal Christmas and summer concerts are feel-good extravaganzas, but we also enjoy more intimate settings, such as performing at weddings and private events, for which we have created bespoke arrangements.
