Nice get and appreciate your enthusiasm & featuring this CZ. Thinking about getting one as well. A machinist can mill the mag release pocket on pre-3+ mags if that's all you can find. Somebody was supposed to come out with a legit drill/mill jig to do just that but no updates so far.
SB tactical sells a foldable "brace" for this that is totally compliant. Do not modify that or any brace to act ask a shoulder stock and you should be ok. Once you do you will need to register it as an SBR. No matter the caliber it will still be considered as a short barrel rifle. PCC's are a real grey area at the moment. I would be extremely careful about the content you release about this weapon. It will vary from state to state. There is a form you can take a look at to see if you are compliant, it is a 4499. Although it is kinda vague it will give you a good idea.
I appreciate the info! So that foldable brace is what I was originally going to get but was then told it’s illegal for me to have in my state and I needed to have the retractable one only. Idk like you said it’s a pretty grey area so at the moment I left that part alone. I just got notification yesterday that the retractable brace was finally back in stock but now I don’t even know if I want to go this route because of all the questions about it. Idk, that brace probably sold out by now too since it’s been out of stock for so long. Thanks again, I will definitely take a look into the 4499 form. 💪

If you put a stock on it and don’t have a tax stamp it makes it illegal. All braces that are put on a weapon from assault rifles and pistol caliber carbines makes it a pistol. If you put a stock on it your turning it into a rifle, so then you would need a tax stamp. The folding brace you see in the pictures are fine! I got mines and I put a folding brace, new strike industries charging handle, Odin mini weapon light with pressure switch, and sig MSR red dot.
Thanks for the info. The gun shop told me specifically that it was illegal to put the fold away brace on it. Idk I’m in MD and they are pretty strict on a lot of things. They told me I can only add the retractable kind for some reason. I really want to order one so I’m going to have to figure this out. How do you like that charging handle? 💪

Are you able to use your iron sights still with that holosun? I have the older model of the scorpion with the holosun 510c and was looking to get the iron sights that come on the evo 3 plus since they ride higher.
Unfortunately it’s still blocked. Not completely but it wasn’t made to work together. If they put a slight dip in the Holosun it would have worked. Hope that helps 💪

You can get the 35 rnd. Magpul p-mag anywhere for around 20 bucks

You can get a 35 rd mag from Yetiwurks & a 30 rd mag and 50rd drum from CZ customs. All will fit the 3+
