    why does energy increase with decreasing size of eddies in integral region?
    In inertial range, the eddies split into smaller eddies therefore, the energy decreases. In the dissipation range, viscosity takes over, energy decreases faster with decreasing size of eddies. but i cant really understand the integral part?

      Interesting observation. It's difficult to interpret very low wavenumbers. Remember that wavenumber is 1/L so as you approach zero wavenumber you approach infinite eddy size. There is likely to be a bit of a spread around the 'integral' scales, due to non-linear interactions between largest turbulent structures, and high degree of anisotropy.
      While most equilibrium turbulence involves cascade of energy from larger to smaller eddies, in certain circumstances it is possible for energy at smaller scales to larger scales. This so-called 'back transfer' can be seen for instance in rotating flows.
