Is it the same process as Japan Rail Pass? Also, I just read today on JR West website that they are increasing prices for JR West Passes😢

Hi, I wanted to check if there are any jr vending machine to exchange jr pass using the qr code? Or I have to queue at the exchange ticket office?
Unfortunately you have to be in the line for the counter. QR code will be used when you get the seat reservation ticket.
If you found it tough how tough would it be for us. I find the Japanese maps are always confusing.
