Hi, Studio Knit! I am an italian girl who is now approaching to knitting. Thank you for your veeery clear tutorials, they're helping me a lot. There's just a few videos as good as yours on this argument with italian explanation, so I was thinking about creating for you the subtitles. Hope you'll enjoy that. xxx
Thank you so much for your tutorial videos and learn lots by watching, you have a clear voice and very detail explanation. I wish other tutorial were more like you. You are amazing fantastic of what you do. I appreciate of what I can do and it's all came from you with your tutorial attitude. Thanks you very much. Take care stay safe
When I looked up how to knit on RUclips I went through about 6 vids and none was clear enough for a beginner like me to knit, but you do it slow enough for me to be able to listen and repeat! SUBSCRIBE TO THIS CHANNEL!!!!
really like this:) i'm knitting a baby set baby an the pattern involves cr2 and while I'm reading it confuses me and I'm not doing it right I was wondering if you could do a video on how to knit cr2 please
Hey there... I have never seen this pattern, it sure looks nice but for what should it be used? for a pillow case? a blanket?... I'm just wondering. =)
Aha - I am currently making a cowl with a similar pattern but it is in the round so it is slightly different. I just knit 4 rounds and purl 4 rounds :) Thanks for the instructions for knitting flat!
Any advice for switching colors multiple times and having a clear “right” and “wrong” side? I can switch colors once successfully, but I’m having trouble switching colors again and figuring out what row to do it on…I always end up messing up the right side.
I have one question to ask. What is that stitch call when you knit the first row, 2nd row Knit 2 together all the way till ghetto last stitch and you add all stitches back on the next row. I think that's how it goes if I'm not mistaken. I think it has something to do with ridges maybe it's call reverse ridge and again I could be wrong for that one as well.
3 Row repeat vs 2 Row repeat. Stockinette is Row 1 K, Row 2 Purl, then repeat. Reverse Ridge then adds a 3rd Row of K, then repeat. So, rather than Purling Row 4 like Stockinette,, you are starting the repeat with another Knit Row.
I think the difference here is that between row three and four, for stockinette, there would be a purl row on row 4, but you’re you knit all of row 3 AND all of row 4. So it almost makes a spaced out garter stitch.
Can anyone here help me? I did this stitch for a scarf for my daughter using a super soft chenille, it looked beautiful but it started off plump and fluffy looking and soon stretched out to be flat and skinny, I’ve bought a whole lot of this same yarn to make squares and turn into a rather large blanket but now I’m not sure. Is there a better stitch that might be sturdier or is the actual chenille just going to do this, I’m worried that a heavy blanket will stretch out of shape if a little scarf did.
KNITTED IN THE ROUND ON CIRCULAR NEEDLES: Cast On: Any Number of Stitches Row 1 (Right Side): Knit All Row 2: Knit All Row 3: Knit All Row 4: Purl All Row 5: Purl All Row 6: Purl All
I am sorry, but I tried doing the stitch the same way, and the result is more of a stockinette stitch as well. Am I doing something wrong here-or could you help me with this?
Sure, notice that it is * K1, P1, K1 * and it is NOT * K1, P1 * So, it's K1, P1, K1, K1, P1, K1, K1, P1, K1... etc. NOT K1, P1, K1 P1, K1, P1... etc. Hope this helps!
Studio Knit. You no where show that...my opinion you should show the 4th row .....my takeaway: knit a row purl a row and repeat, your demo shows stockinette because you stop short

I love your videos. You show everything slowly enough to be understandable for a beginner knitter :) thank you!
Love your simple stitches- great for beginners and simply explained!
Very helpful and well explained

Wow that looks so cool!
Hi, thanks!
+Studio Knit your very nice
Hey there... I have never seen this pattern, it sure looks nice but for what should it be used? for a pillow case? a blanket?... I'm just wondering. =)
how is this different than stockinet stitch?
I was also wondering that... Did you figure it out?
Aha - I am currently making a cowl with a similar pattern but it is in the round so it is slightly different. I just knit 4 rounds and purl 4 rounds :) Thanks for the instructions for knitting flat!

If I want to make these ridges bigger, would I just K1, P1, K1, P1, K1 then repeat (making each ridge five rows tall instead of just 3 rows)?
I have one question to ask. What is that stitch call when you knit the first row, 2nd row Knit 2 together all the way till ghetto last stitch and you add all stitches back on the next row. Hi Studio Knit! I was wondering if it's okay to use your quick easy bunny to sell to my friends and make into puppets? Please answer!
+MiddleMaya Yes! Sweet of you to ask. Good luck!! 🐰💰💗
Studio Knit 😋 Thx!
Isn't that the stockinette pattern? What's the difference?
3 Row repeat vs 2 Row repeat.
Stockinette is Row 1 K, Row 2 Purl, then repeat.
Reverse Ridge then adds a 3rd Row of K, then repeat.
So, rather than Purling Row 4 like Stockinette,, you are starting the repeat with another Knit Row.
why does it keep on bending inward more and more each time i do a purl or knit
Going to give this a go...thank you x
You’re welcome 😊
It's how you do the stockinette. Hopefully it doesnt turn out the same
I think the difference here is that between row three and four, for stockinette, there would be a purl row on row 4, but you’re you knit all of row 3 AND all of row 4. So it almost makes a spaced out garter stitch.

wow!! That will look great if knit into a pillow!
Great pattern.
Hi, Lily! Thanks so much!!!
Hi! May I know how can I do this in round? Thank youuuu!
KNITTED IN THE ROUND ON CIRCULAR NEEDLES:
Cast On: Any Number of Stitches
Row 1 (Right Side): Knit All
Row 2: Knit All
Row 3: Knit All
Row 4: Purl All
Row 5: Purl All
Row 6: Purl All
What would it be called if I did a 4 row repeat of:
Row 1: Knit all
Row 2: Knit all
Row 3: Purl all
Row 4: Purl all
Hi can you make this as a blanket
So is the 4th row a Knit stitch?
Yes. Written pattern is here www.studioknitsf.com/reverse-ridge-stitch/#mv-creation-31-jtr
@@studioknit thanks so much!

Sure, notice that it is * K1, P1, K1 * and it is NOT * K1, P1 *
So, it's K1, P1, K1, K1, P1, K1, K1, P1, K1... etc.
NOT K1, P1, K1 P1, K1, P1... etc.
Hope this helps!
@@studioknit Well, thank you very much for your very nice presentations and helping me!
I found that my knit rows are the ones that 'pop' out rather than my purl rows. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?
I got the same problem..
Hey what if I accidentally purled first
so easy desing thanks mam
You're so welcome! Happy knitting to you!
thank you very much
pleas knitting a owl
how to knitting a bag
+Ayesha Fatima Great idea!! 💗
ummmm....as written and explained produces stockinette stitch (??????)
Nope. This Reverse Ridge stitch has 3 repeating rows, rather than the 2 of the Stockinette stitch, so it reverses every 3 rows. Give it a try!
Studio Knit. You no where show that...my opinion you should show the 4th row .....my takeaway: knit a row purl a row and repeat, your demo shows stockinette because you stop short
??? This is the same as the stockinette stitch. One row knit, one row purl.
+Emily Torres It is not stockinette. This is KPK repeating, so it goes KPK-KPK-KPK etc. Not KP-KP-KP etc.
Studio Knit Oh, ok. It got a little confusing when your picture says knit all one row, purl the next row, Etc. Thanks for clarifying.
