    I'm not very good at remembering idioms in the test but I got 7.5 . I used phrasal verbs and adverbs like chill out and extremely delighted . My desired score is 8 :)

    • @EnglishProTips

      That's great! In fact, phrasal verbs are considered as "idiomatic" so they can really help you to get a high score for Lexical Resource in the speaking test!

    Eli, thanks for all the videos that you've made for us. They're educational, informative and helpful. From time to time I watch them while I either have a tea break or lunch break at work. I also watch them before I hit the hay. 🙇

      Does the phrase hit the hay mean going to sleep?
      I saw this idiom somewhere
      I think he meant before going to sleep

    Can we say ( can't wait to do sth ) is as the same as ( look forward to doing sth ) ?

    • @EnglishProTips
      @EnglishProTips  3 года назад +1

      Very similar. I would say that "can't wait to do sth" is more extreme than "looking forward to doing sth"

      You could you both. If you use "came", it means you think it is less likely that they will come to your party.
