Love this idea! I have 10, 8, 6, 3 years, and 20 months right now, so only 3 really in school! Right now our Friday is a lighter load, but maybe I should just go down to 4 days. Thanks for sharing!

Wow! That's amazing! You could give it a go and then go back to 5 if it doesn't work for you! ;)

We do school 4 days a week. We take Mondays off to get done cleaning, errands, field trips, just fun days, etc. Also, they have a lot of friends that are in public school, and those kids have a lot of Monday holidays. I have a K5 and 7th grader. 4 days a week is definitely something we prefer and can still fit everything in. That may need to change when my oldest gets into the high school level, though. We will see.

That's awesome! I'm glad to hear it still works for your 7th grader! So true that public school has a lot of Monday holidays 😄

I'm currently homeschooling kiddos age 16, 13, 12, 10, 8 & 7(*I've graduated my oldest three, they are almost 22-married and has a 7 week old baby 💙 , almost 20 and a College Junior, and 18 living at home and working). My 16, 13 & 12 y.o. boys attend a community homeschooling day(which is part of our chosen curriculum)in a town 45 minutes away, on Tuesdays. A friend gives them a ride and I keep my friend's 3 y.o., my younger 3 children and I attend a homeschool co-op on Friday mornings. Other then that we're doing our schoolwork at home(along with getting the 16 y.o. to work and running kids to other extra curricular activities).

My kids are 6,4 and 1.. it is our second year..we homeschool with our usual curriculum ( mainly with my kindergartener) 4 days a week and the fifth day is "project day." My kids love it and always look forward to Fridays:)

Awww I totally understand feeling behind at times, but don't let that make you rush through the material! That can be so stressful for us moms and the kids!

My son is currently doing the fourth grade Ron Paul history. I honestly don’t like the writing assignments. I find it too complex for a 9yr old to type about. This is his first year of actually typing full paragraphs. My daughter is in the 5th grade one and her writing assignments are on her level. I was just wanting to know how your son did with it?

He did 4th grade history with RPC as well and loved it! There were a few essays he felt a little overwhelmed by, but after a good pep talk and further explanation on how to do the essays, he was able to do them and he was pleasantly surprised at his accomplishment. You certainly could tweak the essay assignment for him or lower the requirements and then slowly build back up to what the teacher is assigning!
