There are many in the Democratic party that are absolutely livid that Kamala Harris has not had to go through the process of being chosen democratically, by her party, to actually run for the presidency. Hardly a united and energised party.
Many of the Dems are unhappy at the coup, but not the Trump supporters. We think that having Kamala as the opponent is like a gift from God. We couldn't have gotten a weaker and more incapable person. The perfect person to drive people to Trump.
