By gluing the shoulder part to the arm --- since it kept coming off whenever I attempted to remove the whole arm from the body --- the arm, when extended, does not drop when holding the gun. I will post a video showing this soon.
I've ordered this and it will be delivered very soon! I'm soooo excited to built this. This is awesome! I think it will took a month to finished this since I will be doing this in my workplace during break 😅 thanks for this review it made me more excited!
Hello. I know this is an older video but I found it because I personally bought this kit last week and the right bicep was getting stuck. I hadn’t built the left arm yet. I did yesterday and I figured the connector out. I had to push the bicep piece on off of the kit. It settles with a BIG click and you do have to slightly manipulate the piece to get back in but it’s so nice to have working. Dismantling the arm to get back to the bicep is also not to difficult. Hope this helps
Thank you for the comment! I wanted to add the bicep deal in the review to let people know everything they may come across with this kit. I found on mine It doesn't stick if you bend the arm in a specific way lol. I plan to paint mine so it won't be doing much movement afterwards lol.
Great job man! Awesome and very thorough review of this kit! Much appreciated! Among other details you pointed out, I didn't know about those vented parts on the shin moving when the knees are bent or the tab tthat swings out of the rifle when the gun handle is pulled back. As of this post, I'm nearly done building mine. I just have to do the left leg and rebuild the head piece because I added pico-sized blue LEDs to the eyes.
Adding the leds to the eyes is definitely something I would like to do as well! Eventually I will tear mine apart and paint it! Thank you for the kind words and I am happy the review was able to help!
This kit is making me drool. It’s like I’m not even worthy to handle it 😂 but seriously, this is centerpiece material to my sea of gunpla. Very nice review!
Unfortunately I have not 😅 honestly i was kinda hoping someone would know lol. The only thing I can think is some sort of missile pods or maybe an attachment point for something later on?
@@GunplaJoey oh hey, I may have cracked it! They're making a Shockwave kit now, and apparently it reuses a lot of this kits' inner frame. It happens to have a pair of wings jutting out from about the same place as those peg holes!
@@GunplaJoey The blue looks nice as is, but the red could definitely use a lick of paint. I find that Metallic Orange followed by a coat of Clear Red gives a gorgeous 'candy' finish. And some metallic grays for the mechanical details will look awesome. I'm pleased that this kit lives up to expectations.. my preorder just came in on ShowZ. Does it have decals, or are the paint aps pre-applied?
The autobot symbols on the shoulders are on the parts on the runner but the kit does come with a small set of decals for the wrists and more autobot symbols in case you paint it.
This looks so good I'd love to buy it but I can not make model kits no matter how easy they are and I'd rather not buy something that they themselves describe as "hell" knowing full well I could never build it.
So I put the model all together and I’m having an issue getting both of the knees to do the full bend from the back of the upper leg into the upper calf. Not sure if I’m describing it right. The knees bend they just don’t bend into the bottom part of the legs. Im afraid to push to hard and brake something. Any tips on what might be the issue?
I'm sorry to hear this. Off the top of my head, my first thought would be to check and make sure you installed the spring properly in that section to allow the upper calf to sink down to allow for that full bend. This will require disassembly, so take your time and carefully refer to the manual.
Has anyone had issues with their website my nephew just bought a pack of 30 that's $50 marked down to $30 one of the Transformers came with two left legs and another one came with a busted chest plate
@@GunplaJoey damn guy you have some impressive works. Do you provide painting services? I have an Optimus Prime Earth Mode kit not assembled yet cause I want the pieces metallic but I can’t paint. I want cut the parts off the spruces myself, clean them up & send them to some one to paint them & send them back to me so I can then assemble it myself.
This looks like it completely blows out perfect grades. At ONLY $200 this dudes a steal. Looks great oob so I don't think I'll be painting. It would take me a year at my pace. 2 hours of gunpla a week.
Just saw the vents open on the shin and I made a noise lol. Felt like I just took a bite of the best steak I've ever had. Bandai needs to step their game up.
I know this is an old comment, but currently building this thing, it's got a million parts but it's got nothing on actual PGs. It's detail but it's also obtuse and got a lot of poor fits that need to be worked on for parts to snap on
It's cool but so far the build is pretty disappointing. A lot of parts that need to be modified to even fit on properly. Could just be a degradation in the molds even though it's a pretty recent kit. It looks really nice but it ain't got nothing on the PG unleased
If you are referring to the section I talk about the weapon holding the reason it has issues isn't because it's "loose". It is a polycarbonate over a metal peg which has not much friction to hold it up well. I haven't moved it much at all. An easy fix for this would be to get some joint guard strips to give it a little texture to hold on to.
Bandai got some serious competitor here, wish they can put as much details into rg kits too.
The details that come out when the joints move are crazy 😮
Indeed! The engineering in this kit is mind blowing!

great review!!! i wish theyd do a bumblebee soon,
also do you plan on taking it apart and painting it?
Indeed I do!
Dang this thing gives Bandai PGs a run for it's money! Great review dude! Can't wait to see you paint him. 😆
Thanks bro! 🥰
hows the build % someone told me its like a pg gundam
Honestly it puts PG's to shame in my opinion lol.
Hi..i do noticed that we have got a spring parts, and im currently still in progress build this kit, may i know where this spring part belong to?
It is installed in the back of the upper leg and allows the panel to push inwards to allow for the deep knee bend.
Awesome review can't wait to see it painted 😉
I am tempted to paint it next after the Xi is done lol

I will most likely use Evans Designs Pico leds.

Looks incredible. Wish I had the patience to build. 💀
How would you say the plastic quality is? Does anything feel fragile?
The plastic quality is top notch! Feels just like premium plastic like bandai!
Ya ever figure out what those empty peg holes in the upper body are for? Lore stuff or for a future expansion?

Yes I think you may have figured it out! I had noticed the similarities but didn't think about that! Great work!
any problem in snap fittings? loose?tight?
Nothing really jumps out to me. It's a super solid, well-made kit! Tolerances are top-notch!
Did anyone find a way to fix the shoulders? Did someone make ratchets that fit? Thanks
You could possibly use joint guard to thicken up the connection and add more friction
@@GunplaJoey There is that, I just thought with all the complaints, someone might 3D print a ratchet for it. Thanks
Subscribed! Keep up the good work and awesome videos dude -GrandfatherGoose
Hey! Thanks bro! I may not be the fastest to upload sometimes but I try to make the best videos I can.
I'm gonna fully paint and weather mine. It's gonna look insane.

Did you get the PLAMO version or the IIES 24" version?
I got the plamo kit, but it is still 24" lol
@@GunplaJoey i just stumbled upon this kit, what the difference between iies v plamo versions?
The plamo version is a model kit you build yourself
@@GunplaJoey ah okay! so then I'm assuming iies is something prebulit 🤔 sorry for the noob question lol
I believe the other is a statue and it's very expensive lol
Hey, try adding some water based polyurethane to the shoulder joints to make them way more sturdy.
The joints are metal so etch primer would probably go down first but that's a great idea.
This kit is more detailed that an MGEX Gundam or even a Perfect Grade level Gundam, ITS CRAZY!
Agreed!!!!
Yeah! That’s what we get on a kit based on a live action cgi model
@amatsu7619 that's not live action Optimus though
Its bumblebee movie prime....so yes it is lol

Just subscribed. The shoulder sag is pretty disappointing but I'm getting this kit regardless. It's utterly amazing.
The shoulders could also be easily fixed with a strip of joint guard! Good thing about plamo kits is they can be modified 😉
