Dunrobin Castle, located in the Highlands of Scotland, is a stunning castle that resembles a fairy-tale palace. With its majestic turrets, spires, and beautiful gardens, it is often referred to as the "Versailles of the North." Dating back to the 13th century, Dunrobin Castle has a rich history and is home to the Earls and Dukes of Sutherland. Visitors can explore its opulent interiors, which house an impressive art collection, and witness falconry displays in the castle's gardens.
Inverness Castle, situated in the heart of the city of Inverness, is an imposing structure that overlooks the River Ness. While the current castle was built in the mid-19th century, it sits on the site of earlier fortifications dating back to the 11th century. Although the castle is not open to the public, its exterior offers a picturesque backdrop for visitors exploring Inverness.
Eilean Donan Castle, located on a small island where three sea lochs meet, is one of the most recognized castles in Scotland. This iconic castle dates back to the 13th century and has been beautifully restored to its former glory. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, Eilean Donan Castle offers visitors a glimpse into Scotland's feudal past. Inside, visitors can explore its historic rooms, learn about its role in various conflicts, and marvel at its picturesque setting.
Cawdor Castle, located near Nairn in the Scottish Highlands, is a splendid fortress steeped in history and myth. Dating back to the 14th century, the castle is famous for its association with Shakespeare's play, Macbeth. With its well-preserved interiors, stunning gardens, and enchanting woodlands, Cawdor Castle offers visitors a unique and immersive castle experience. The castle's history is brought to life through guided tours, allowing visitors to explore its medieval tower, beautiful tapestries, and impressive art collection. I just booked a tour to Dunrobin Castle (#1) and it looks nothing like what’s pictured in this video. Why don’t you delete this and fix it?

Edinburgh castle overlooking the capital should be no1 or at least on the list anyone in their right mind would say

The first castle is Doune Castle. I’ll assume the rest of the list is of no worth.
