Blends Chart All Together SD 480p

Have you already been tapping the Blends chart call and response for a few weeks? When your child/children tell you they want to try it alone or all together (and not do call and response anymore), let them try. You can use this video for them to tap along with to get a bit of added support.

Why are the h-brothers done at the end?

The chart is arranged so that the children can easily find the H-brothers and 3-Letter Blends. We do want to tap them all together so the children see the pattern of two letters that make one sound. You can tap the H-brothers with the 1st Chart as many teachers do who use a Balanced Literacy curriculum and teach Kinder/1st grade. They want the children to practice those sound/symbol connections early and often.
