Nicky Thomas com uma pedrada do tamanho de um asteroide. Obrigado por compartilhar esse festival inesquecível.
I have to say this. Its Sept 26, 2021 and I'm 50 yrs currently. I was three yrs old when this event took place. I seek reggea music of many genres and to come across the young Dennis Alcaplone toasting and doing his thing is a gem. What I'd give to see him back in his prime toasting over the mic. Lee Perry is another favorite artist I'd give anything to see him back in his prime doing his shows in costume would be amazing. I guess the real point is that i do appreciate these moments in time or history. Respect.
You'd be hard pressed to find Lee doing shows from back then. A lot of the stuff he was doing before he died was much later in his career.
Still holds up strong today 2022 - just brilliant musicianship
Nicky Thomas gave it all & he is getting ALL ;-)

Good Gosh!
Winston groovy...wow.got a few of his tracks.
Just for the record, this is not reggie, it called ROCK STEADY!
@@neilgibbons2532 you are right..👍
@@neilgibbons2532 Rock Steady was gone by this time along and not in vogue except for a very short revival but the key players of the era, like Lynn Taitt no longer recorded in Jamaica. You'd be hard pressed to find any rock Steady that sounds like this when it was happening. The drum style, the organ playing, non existent in the era.
Was that Judge Dread introducing the acts?
Pity this was in a Concert Hall, not a Dance Hall
Muito bom
Reggae was an english thing from them times.
Bom dms
Is it possible that the backing band for Pioneers is prog band Second Hand ~aka~ Chiliwack??
someone knows who play the organ on this Cimaron reggay live composition ? Ansel collins ?tnx
is this the full length of the concert?
Ggrrreeaaaattttt
🇬🇧 🇨🇲
21:22 - Phil Collins??
That’s definitely not Collins. For one thing, Genesis were starting a major tour beginning less that a week from the date of this gig, so they would be in serious rehearsals at this point.
Could someone please explain why the microphone looks like a dumbell 👨💻
Going out on a limb here...
They were running two sets of microphones.
One could be front of house and the other sound for the film.
One of the pair has a giant foam windscreen on it.
The two are taped together in the middle creating that funny shape.
First guy sings into the silver mic. Second sings into the foam covered one
I am going to guess the extra foam keeps the mics from audibly clicking together
