Jesus submitted His claim to Messiahship to be examined by those who listen to Him. He was open to scrutiny. ” I am just and I judge righteously; see if you can find any contradiction in that.” Jesus denied that He was in ministry for human praise. He was always in harmony with the Father’s will.
PRINCIPLE:
Selflessness is a characteristic of Christianity.
APPLICATION:
Jesus’ judgment was perfectly just because He depended on the Word and will of the Father. He was in perfect harmony with the Father. He allowed nothing to deter Him from the will of God. His judgment was not influenced by personal interest or selfishness.
Jesus always judged fairly. That is very difficult for us because our judgments are distorted by self-interest. We might judge because we have been personally injured. We can distort judgment by envy. We might bend truth by ignorance. Jesus did not carry these distortions in His humanity.
That's the holy spirit touching you and speaking to you ..this makes the hair stand up on my arms and down my back so I can relate..

If Jesus claimed to be God than there should be hundreds of verses in the Bible which would have mentioned it. But there is not a single verse in the entire Bible in which Jesus says I am God, worship me...

I had a bad case of appendicitis when I was 16. Nearly killed me. I had major surgery and all of the kids at my school and church prayed for me. Jesus healed me! My surgery went beautifully. I healed up nicely. Thank you Jesus!

Jesus - the biggest liar and abuser who ever lived. For last 15 years, every day i recieve proof how much he hates me and similar people to me. If you are ill, you have good and fragile hearth, you will get abused by other people non stop and God wont do shit to ever stop it. He will always stay at the side of bullies and oppressors which stands in contradiction to what he says, and he proved to me that he will always protect bullies and evil people from justice and never take my side when i am abused. He said he will heal ill people, he never healed me despite being ill for 15 years, and thousends of prayers he never cared shit to help me, and i know first hand other situations of similar people to me never recieving help, and pay in mind i was devoted christian my whole life, i never said things like in this post, i started to share my stories recently after thousends of disappointements i am finally done with this pathethic piece of shit liar, abuser and sadistic monster. I hope my post will cause atleast few people to no longer believe in this joke of god because nothing good can come from this. My life is a proof of it, you can't love someone who condemns you for being trashbin for other people hard emotions and tortures.

People who say that shows like these are unbiblical and keep people from reading the Bible are wrong-ever since I’ve been watching this and another very good Bible series (this one wins though!) I’ve, and many other people, judging from the comments, have done the complete opposite. I have gained this desire to read the Bible like I’ve never had before. While I was watching this I had so many questions and so many moments when I thought “wow, where can I find this?”. I didn’t even know Simon Peter had a mother in law, or was even married! I was born Christian but I have never had such an want for reading the Gospels like this show has given me. Today, after finishing season one (patiently waiting for season two to be available on the app because i am a broke student who has to wait for others to pay for the episodes😭) I took it upon myself to read the book of Luke beginning to end, and I never thought I’d enjoy the Bible this much! I don’t know if it were this show or just me maturing, but I know for sure that after watching this show reading the Bible has turned from a chore to an activity I genuinely like! And the humanization of not only Jesus but the disciples is just makes this all the better! I want to say more about that, but this comment is already as long as it is 😅 I just want to say that all of their personalities are so refreshing and relatable! This show is truly a masterpiece, and I really hope it does get the seven to eight seasons that the creators hope for it to get, because I plan to watch every single one ☺️

I also want to point out that even the Bible itself admits that not everything Jesus said and did is written down. Since Jesus taught by oral tradition, you can’t expect the Bible to tell you everything about him. He established the Catholic Church, not a book.

When the paralytic got up and was walking out the door the character actor portraying John had tears in his eyes. Appeared genuine. Nice cherry on top.
I love this. The one thing that always put me off about films/series focused around the New Testament was their portrayal of Jesus. He always seemed wise and righteous, but rarely...approachable. The human form of a God so loving and all-knowing never felt like someone I could reach for and embrace. And I know portraying a perfect human can't be easy, we can only come so close. But they always seemed to focus on the rabbi and the law-giver. Which is an important trait to capture, of course, but not the only one!
And this? This portrayal feels so much more real, more tangible. There's love in the actor's eyes as he speaks to the paralytic, and it feels so genuine. That hug feels so genuine, it almost made me cry. I want to reach out and hug this Jesus, not because he's charismatic or nice, but because I feel like he already knows and loves me. Which is exactly how it should be!
THIS is the Jesus I want to know; this is the Jesus I want EVERYONE to know!!
This is basically just a long-winded way to say: I think this is the best and most believable portrayal of the Biblical Jesus I've ever seen, it brought me to tears, and I am definitely recommending it to everyone I know.

The Bible (in spite of being changed and adulterated over time) contains many verses in which Jesus speaks of God as a separate person to himself. Here are just a few of them:
When a man addressed Jesus as “Good Teacher”, he replied “Why do you call me good? No one is good except the one God.’’ [Mark 10:18]
In another instance he says: “I can’t do anything by myself. Whatever I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just. I don’t seek my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” [John 5:30]
Jesus speaks of God as a separate being to himself: I’m going up to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. [John 20:17]
In this verse he affirms that he was sent by God: This is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent. [John 17:3]
If Jesus was God he would have told people to worship him, but he did the opposite and disapproved anyone worshipping him: And in vain they worship Me [Matthew 15:9]
If Jesus claimed to be God than there should be hundreds of verses in the Bible which would have mentioned it. But there is not a single verse in the entire Bible in which Jesus says I am God, worship me...

I believe God is going to heal my condition since birth! Doctors/science has failed! Yet only Jesus can do it! I’ll say it before I see it “thank you God for healing my condition”
Perhaps God is allowing you to suffer so that you can rely upon him even more closely. I’m autistic and allow Jesus to help me with my burdens.

@@azeemahmad5918 the reason Jesus doesnt say it like im God is Because of Philippians 2:3-11, he humbled himself and had and has no reason to say he’s God as we should already know that he is God on earth Isaiah 7:14; matthew 1:23; Mark 10

God's miracles, love, kindness, humbleness and all always made me cry.😭😭😭
My eyes welled up with tears when I saw this... Maybe a few of you have this story, not sure. I'm just me. Bad temper on occasion, struggle with lustful thoughts once in a while. Sometimes envy or pride get the better of me...but I am changing by God's grace. I've come so far, but so far to go! All I know is I met Jesus in a dream once. I was going through a time of deep doubt. I dreamt I was at a summer camp and going down this hallway. I went through the door of the last room on the left of the hallway. A Man was standing there leaning against a bunk almost weeping. He was dressed in ordinary clothes, but He turned to me and His eyes were pure and holy and other and looked right through me. In much the same way this man embraced Jesus I ran to Him and embraced Him. Our doubt grieves the Lord among other things. I won't ever forget that dream.

Jesus is essentially declaring himself God here. The title he calls himself (Son of Man) references Daniel 7:13-14 which is a divine figure. This is what triggered the Jewish ruling elite so much.

Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. There were many who didn’t believe in Jesus even during those times….even Thomas had to see Jesus’s hands to believe in Jesus’s resurrection. It is so darn hard to be a Christian. Live one day at a time and continue to be faithful.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Ive had many initimate moments with the Lord. He is very very real and like nobody Ive ever met. I love Him so much❤

Jesus tells her "Your faith is beautiful. " And after he heals her friend she looks to the sky tears of joy in her eyes and though she may not speak you can tell at that moment she thanking and praising God with all of her heart. We should all aspire to have faith like that.

No matter what I watch, whether it's Son of God, The Chosen, or The Bible series, the story of Jesus is a wonderful thing for me to know! As a Christian, I am called by God to show mercy to others and save people from eternal hell when they die. God brought His son from Heaven to earth to save us by dying on the cross and taking our sins away when He died. I love Jesus so much and I cannot wait to be with Him when it's time for me to go to Heaven!
