Although the Chosen called her 'Little lamb' in the Bible its 'Little girl', or 'Talitha, or Talita' Which my name was based on. The second I heard Jairus, a name I was familiar with due to the Bible passage, I knew what was coming! I love the deep meaning of my name of how Jesus raised me, as I once was dead and am alive in Christ!!

You would best know the meaning of your own name (and it's such a pretty one, more often used as a description than as a name, I think, so all the more rare and beautiful). I have read there is a lot of scholarship out there that links the 'little girl' definition to 'little lamb' _(Hastings, et al),_ in the sense that some of its Aramaic roots do refer to 'lamb' ( טלי 'talay'), so that it was at some point considered not only a description of a small female child, but also a term of endearment carrying the imagery of the child as a dear little lamb, something like how we today call our children 'kids' (a word originally meaning a young goat). So with The Chosen's choice of English translation, it's nice to think of Jesus using a word for 'little girl' that was also such a loving term of endearment. And not just 'nice', but a thought with some amount of scholarship backing it. He truly did (and does!) love us all! Blessings to you, Talita!

This is such a beautiful, powerful scene. I love when Jesus is praying beside Nilli's bed and gets a little smile on His face as His Father grants His request to bring her back to life.

I love “the chosen” this show has been so fundamental in my life. Especially when I accepted Jesus as my lord and savior 3 years ago. I grew up catholic but I never had a relationship with God. My life has changed ever since.

I think Dallas said season 4 will probably release in theaters around February or January 2024? So I’m guessing the trailer is probably releasing next year about that time

I had never read this story is much detail or even heard about this story much and I was so happy to see The Chosen portraying something in such an authentic way and showing us how they rlly must have felt in that situation and showing their real emotions. This is one of many depiction of Jesus. There are many movies. One was the three part series, Jesus of Nazareth. The resurrection scene there is just as beautiful too.

Jesus says a thing and it is so. This scene is the perfect clip to encapsulate the power and mercy of Himself. Thank you to Dallas and his collaborators for bringing Gods love into such sharp focus. I am watching it with my grandchildren to help them realize Jesus. The children's bible has been supplemented by this show gratefully and I am relieved to have a way to have them visualize salvation as an antidote to the indoctrination into evil at their schooI.
