I was a filthy wretch so addicted to porn that my shame kept me from having any real joy or meaning in my life. I prayed for healing, I submitted to Christ for the first time in my life....I began to walk with him and to truly turn away from my sin, & HE DELIVERED ME WHOLLY & COMPLETELY! we are ALL that leper, we are all unclean. We are all hopelessly unable to heal ourselves....Only by Christ’s willing sacrifice, can we become clean.

You just have to commit to speak to him everyday, just as a friend. So that you'll build a bridge (relationship) with him. Just like any friendship you have; If you don't talk to each other, how will you sustain your friendship ? So just commit (even if you feel sad/ashamed/tired/not being heard because this is how satan fights). And then you'll find yourself thirsty to talk to him even more from the love he'll put in you.

We must get broken over our sin... hate for it, it is like a lead anchor dragging you into the abyss... hate it, call out to him ... broken and he will set you free. But without self denial of lust, there is no freedom. I finally came to hate the addiction in April 2009 turned and began reading the New Testament ... gourging on it and listening to sermons. Jesus saved/rescued me from Satan the slave master.
The tears are falling. Jesus healed me from a 31 year addiction. This brings it all home
If what happened was like what happened with me the sddition not only went away but it's like it was never there. Like it was ripped out completely.

@@williamgullett8071 i tried to quit smoking and failed, i threw the pack of cigarettes in the trash but in the end i picked it back up from the trash and smoked it again. funny and embarrassing at the same time. but with just one prayer when I was down and then I threw away the last cigarette and since 2015 until now I haven't felt the slightest bit of sour mouth (if you are a smoker you will definitely understand). or the desire to return to smoking like an addicted person. GOD bless us all

"Please don't turn away from me." How many times have we all gone to our knees and uttered the same words? This is such a powerful scene. Love it!
It is that plea that most touches me in this scene: my sin is my leprosy and I run back to Jesus with a similar prayer. This scene gives us a glimpse of Jesus’s heart. ❤️✝️
JC's healing salvation is available to those even LOWER than leprosy.

My favorite thing about this depiction of Jesus is that he never seems "out of reach" or other worldly. He seems very of this earth. Very humble. The actor who plays Him has the kindest eyes I have ever seen. It's like he loves every one he sees. Simply amazing casting.

When Jesus replied: "I AM willing" is when I began to cry. God is so merciful to us, when we definitely don't deserve it.

@Baba Rajneesh Clearly, you're reading a different Bible. Jesus gave His life as a sacrifice, willingly, so that we can be reconciled to our Heavenly Father. He is God made into flesh as a man, not JUST a man.

Jesus saved my 3 years old daughter when tree fell on her and she was not harmed in any way. Today she is 10 yrs doing well in school. But I lack money to pay her fees. I know Jesus will provide through my hard work.

It was a totally unnecessary line, and broke the believability illusion for me. It was too modern, and was a poor choice.
I love how He silences them with nothing more than a look and his hand. As if to say, “Chill fellas, I got this!” And even though this isn’t the first miracle they’ve witnessed, their jaws are on the ground.

It makes it even more special to know that, this is not just "fantasy", but it actually happened in our history. I am so thankful for that.

Interestingly it’s probably incorrect as ancient Hebrew meaning of Leper just meant someone who’s sick.
So it’s literally means Jesus could of just been healing an ailment that was fixing itself like a skinned knee etc.
@@Gumpmachine1 no “leper” in Hebrew means “skin disease”, so something like smallpox for example (though smallpox itself probably didn’t appear at this time, I’m only using it as an example)
Edit: smallpox did appear before these events. It’s just that the earliest known recording is after, just found out from WHO website

He has given evidence that he is real to many of us. There are innumerable testimonies from people who have come to know Jesus Christ. I am now 60 and received Jesus as my Lord and Savior at the age of 17. I came to know him through reading my Father's little paperback of the Gospel of John in the auditorium on my lunch breaks in high school. He became so real to me and I developed a relationship with him. Then one night after watching a movie I went upstairs and looked out the window into the heavens and repented to God for every sin I had ever committed in my life and asked God to forgive me. I was sorry from the depths of my soul. It was like the earth stood still, then all of a sudden my hands raised in the air and I began to worship and praise God. Nobody had to tell me to do it. The Holy Spirit came inside of my spirit and I was born again. Those of us who have been redeemed know God is real. This is not about religion. Anybody can choose a religion, but the one and only true God desires relationship. God the father wants to be reconnected to his offspring. We were separated from him through Adam's sin which fell upon all flesh. God is a Holy and just God. Sin can not stand in his presence and must be judged. Justice demands this. When someone breaks a law that affects you, you want justice. For example, if someone were to harm your loved one or destroy your property, there is a penalty and you desire it to be paid. You want justice. God sent Jesus the Messiah to pay the penalty for the sins of the world:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Man is born with a sin nature. No one has to teach us to lie, cheat, steal, commit adultery, or bear false witness against a neighbor. Sin is inherent in every human being and is the reason there will never be peace on earth. Look at the condition of this world. It will not change until Jesus returns. God's Judgement is coming to this world. He has provided the way out through his son Christ Jesus. Be reconciled to God.

Jack Daniels rationally and logically speaking, Jesus was no more than a prophet and messenger of God. God is not a trinity or 3. He’s only 1 God and he’s nothing like his creation. God does not die like Jesus died. God does not feel fatigue, or get hurt, or need to pray to anyone like Jesus clearly does in the Bible. Jesus ate, slept, bathed and was weak and couldn’t do things without the will of the father and the Christians take him as Lord when Jesus never asked them to worship him. Most Christians base their truth on pure emotions and never actually bring forward the evidences. It’s just an emotional rollercoaster. These producers make an emotional movie to tap into the hearts of people making it seem like a movie has any kind of truth it. Just because something makes you feel tingly inside doesn’t make it the truth.
The evidence is the Bible. That’s the only way they know anything about Jesus. Take a look at the numerous contradictions etc.

I have been a Christian my whole life and as one I ask, how could anyone hate Jesus? All he did was heal and suffer for us. For anyone reading this, Jesus LOVES you, no matter what. He will help you, He will heal you. He has helped me in so many ways. All you have to do is let Him in your heart. I promise, you will not regret it.
He did have a lot of things to say that people didn't like, mainly against the religious leaders of his day. Following him can be a high price to give up a lot and turn away from a lot. He stirred up a lot of trouble...but in a good way.
And yet, so many do. The crusades, the inquisition, the ones that take his name to punish others. God and Jesus, his son, is the purest love you will find, love for life, love for each other. Love thy neighbour as thyself, so simple and yet so powerful. If we do this, evil would never win, but we decide to take upon others.
I never met anyone who hated Jesus, they don't believe he's the son of God, etc etc. But never "hate" the man.

Kelly, I have never been one for watching shows multiple times, with a few exceptions. But this one...you can’t even begin to see all the layers and subtle humor and meaning without watching multiple times! A friend of mine, Megan said “not a word is wasted”. I agree. And not only words but background that you would miss if you looked away or were distracted. There should be a caution on the DVD that warns against only watching once. Lol

That was so cute. Initially a knive is drawn and they don't want to breath his air. Then after Jesus heals him, the disciples are all willing to give up their tunics to him. Beautiful!

Many actors have played the role of Jesus, but none have portrayed Him like this man. Well done.
To me, this scene shows the Creator taking pleasure in "reparing" one of His damaged creations with love, tederness, and compassion.

I wouldn't say he's taking pleasure, as he knows we suffer and those who have surrendered to him are looking for healing and mercy. His pleasure would be us using the free will the father has given us to make the world a better place, which is a difficult task for each and every one us. The second you judge others, you have failed his "pleasure". I am not innocent of this but try every day. Our "Humanity" is extremely flawed and Jesus is the guide, our light. His divinity is what we try to replicate, not imitate. Also recognize that in other "Christians", those who replicates are of the lord, those who imitate are not.

Imagine that man like a person who was infected by sickness as deadly and no cure as covid19, everyone is afraid of him and then there's Jesus, was not afraid, no hesitation going near him and healed him. ❤️❤️❤️

Laura Brown I loved that! Also loved how Jesus told him green was his color, and he laughed and it just lightened the emotional moment. And the “ Not too shabby” remark. Jesus was so real and humble and of course He knew how to put people at ease. Just love the writing!
I am so thankful for the humor. It is important, and well, human. I can’t remember now, but I have seen humor in the Bible before. I wonder, comparing The Chosen to other Jesus films, why didn’t filmmakers get Jesus right before? Guess it is all in His timing, and He was preparing you for this. So many things done so right , and for us in the audience, it is just so very exciting!

Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite scenes. No matter how many times I see it, I still cry. And I won't deny that I laugh each time the disciples, who were amazed and stunned, all hastened to get out an extra tunic. I love it!

Seen episodes 1 to 4. I love how this portrayal of Jesus is so human, and not as 'detached' as other portrayals. I'm very curious to see Jesus' confrontations with the Pharisees and, eventually, his frustration at the temple. I hope it isn't downplayed.

I agree. I been watching the Leper healing scenes from other productions. And there’s just a lack of emotion.
The beauty of your approach is that it helps us also look for that when we read Scripture. Of course the emotion is there, even if is not spelled out. It is like you are teaching us how to look more deeply at Scripture. A new world opened up as we move from milk to meat. And the beauty of the medium, like music, we will never forget the images and emotion, like we sometimes forget words. The Chosen will stay with us for the rest of our lives ( spoken with Mary’s accent. Lol- so corny but true. Can’t write or say those words without hearing he voice )

This scene I watch over and over- not so much for the healing as much as for the compassion and words spoken- I won't turn away from you, I am willing to heal you.
It speaks to my soul and revives my tattered faith in these days of "unprecedented" events. Feeling so lost and the world seeming out of control
This scene calms me, reassured me and coaxes me back from disbelief to true belief and hope.
Thank you to the writers and actors for making the scene so believable and so beautiful to touch me so deeply. Helping me look to Jesus for answers to my own worries.

I like this show simply because of how it portrays Jesus as also being human. Brought me to tears many times.
He only ever was a human being. He was a messenger of God who came to deliver the Gospel and clean up the Torah to the original text.

The healing of the leper touches my heart. I see it in a new light now. The Chosen makes the characters seemingly come to life. I can't seem to get enough of this show because it fills my heart with hope and happiness.
A mountain of emotion flooded my senses when I watched this. The biggest praise I could give in honor to this scene where the tears I shed for the love HE shows us.
Oh my goodness! The utter humility and emotion shown is overwhelming! Once again, another beautiful scene. We read these stories over and over, but we never realize the depth of what happened. Thank you @Dallas and cast and crew.

The Chosen has made such an impact in my life. I have seen and read so much about my Savior and Lord, but nothing compares with this. I am urging everyone to watch and “live” the greatest biography of all.
I wonder if they're going to talk about how god and Jesus condone slavery or that a female rape victim must marry her rapist if her father wishes it or how homosexuals and disagreeable children and witches are to be stoned until dead? Etc..or if they're just going to pick out the parts that make Christianity look good while ignoring the parts that make it bad.

Then you say "no it's servitude" or "slavery was ok back then" or "there are other passages in the Bible that one could argue condemns slavery" or some other absurd haphazard excuse.
Then I call you a fool who is sacrificing his humanity and morality to justify his God explicitly offering permission and instructions for how severely to beat your slave and how to keep him for life by giving him a family and using them as ransom.
Then you claim I'm just making an ad hominem attack because you picked up the term on a recent apologetic video and think it applies here so you parrot it. Or you go down a rabbit hole on morality where I show you that morals CANT come from God and MUST arrive naturally. And you deny this without reason and keep making the same points over and over and over again which I've already debunked. And you never once acknowledge the fact that you've been unable to even address a single point I've made. On the contrary you will probably say that you've answered every one of my points and I failed to do the same.

This is one of my fav scenes. No words. Jesus' depth of compassion and desire to free the lost and broken is the reason He died. No one is beyond His reach or too dirty to receive His forgiveness. I love you Jesus.

The Chosen .....I’m a little old-school. Right now I watch this on the VidAngel app and try to mirror it to the television but my Wi-Fi sucks LOL. Is there anyway I can purchase this series on DVD. I would like to start a small group using the chosen to introduce people to the real Jesus for local folks that have no clue what a personal relationship with Jesus looks like and who Jesus truly is...The enemy is so good at using religion to turn people away from Jesus... your miniseries is truly fantastic at including the human side of Jesus as well. We have a tendency not to see that when reading scripture.... which makes people have trouble seeing Jesus as human as well

When any of us are going thru so much pain, doubt and non stop worry, scenes like these and teachings as these bring tears down, tears to heal. Tears to see again.
The leper approaching Jesus and his plea is so moving, so real -- tears sprang into my eyes. Stephen Hailo deserves a very grateful and warm thank you! The compassion and love expressed by his word and body language of Jesus is astounding. Beautiful work! So real!

As a spiritual leper/sinner, this overwhelms my heart and soul. When everyone else would shun or distance themselves from me due to my leprosy/sin…. My Lord did not turn away. My Lord has cleansed me because He was willing. Not my will, but Your will Lord. He will not turn away from your humble repentance… because He didn’t not turn from me. Everyone please pray for the devil to be gone from me forever and for him to never return. It would mean the world to me if the devil is removed from me forever
Unfortunately as long as you’re in this world and follow Jesus Christ you’re a threat and enemy to the devil. Even though he will never stop trying to hurt us God’s power is the most powerful things in the universe, it is so mighty that it terrifies the devil and his demons.
God will always defeat the devil for us and protect us from his plans. You only need to trust in God and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you to do good, the Holy Spirit is inside us and will help you not to sin to give the devil a door into your life, so he will never be able to touch you. The devil can’t harm us as long as we don’t give him permission to by sinning. Though he will try to tempt us to sin, try to make us sad or angry he only does that cause he’s really useless and can’t touch unless we sin then he can enter our lives in some way.
Don’t forget to also protect yourself by praying everyday and asking God to cover you with the blood of Jesus and his anointing oil too. God bless you Samantha, I really hope this helped.❤️❤️
