YES, please show how to do eSIM (including having two phone numbers on Note 20 Ultra) . My N20U shows to IMEI numbers on its box but no menu on the phone to activate an eSIM (or setup a second line).
thanks man i got a phone online but it wasnt working fine so i had to ship it back now they have to ship me another one which means i have to $25 to active the phone so now im gonna pay $25 3 times which is $75 good thing i watched your video so once i get the new phone shipped i'll just do it myself instead of getting charged $25 again
I got the tmobile sim and it has TERRRIBLE service. I want to use the sprint one that originally came in my phone before I swapped it out. Can I swap it out with the tmobile sim?
Thank you so much. I get screwed over every time I go into the store. Being pressured into buying products/ services. Thank you for helping me do this at home!!!:)
I have t mobile now but it is a pre paid plan and I just ordered the Samsung galaxy s22ultra! It drops on the 25th so I pre ordered and I’ll be receiving it soon. I have an iPhone 11 right now so I want to activate it but I never did it myself because I never ordered online I always purchased my phone in store. Anyways can I follow your directions for T-Mobile prepaid??
Great video. Question. Are there any Tmobile specific features not on the unlocked model once the Tmobile SIM card is activated? I've been told by Tmobile reps certain features like in call Duo or RCS using Samsung Messages isn't available on the unlocked model?
Is this a Samsung thing or Sprint? I’ve had each T-Mobile & Verizon SIM & moves between multiple iPad & iPhone w/ just turning off & back on. I do have the Note 20 Ultra & it does require the restart after power on to change carrier.
I currently have Sprint and have the S7 phone. Plan on getting the new S21 directly from Samsung website and will order the T-Mobile/Sprint currier phone, since they seem to be offering a better trade-in deal for my old phone. Would I just be able to take the old sim from my s7 and place it into the s21?
you can swap a sim card only if it is compatible with an unlocked device. which means low end old smartphones are not likely to work. For instance, Samsung J series.
Any issues being a Sprint customer but using a T-Mobile 5G SIM? Cuz that’s what Sprint/T-Mobile gave me with my unlocked sprint phone I got from Best Buy through sprint phone upgrade? Am hoping when use smartswitch then activate, my data isn’t reset; as know sometimes can happen, & can use smartswitch again....just a pain, as takes time. Also hope the Note series phones are discontinued w/ new S21 phones releasing soon......Cuz that would SUCK, especially if a loop hole allows Samsung/Carriers to not support the phones w/ updates. Thx for vid✌🏼
I just found out they are moving everyone over to a T-Mobile 5G SIM and that will be the new SIM. You will then easily be able to move it to a knew phone to activate it now.
@@TechWithBrett I have an unlocked Note 20 Ultra 5g that now has a Tmobile SIM. I switched from Note 8 on Sprint network. Everyone just says it's strange? Any suggestions?
I bought my unlocked samsung a 32 5g from best buy with an activate now through my Tmobile carrier. Can I activate it on my own like this with my sim card on my samsung a10e?
Brett, thank you so much this is very helpful! Question: bought unlocked Z Fold 3 and tried switching sim from Ultra 21. For some reason new phone didn’t recognize the t-mobile SIM card, which is the newest SIM card they have. Is it possible I’m putting the card in the wrong way or something? Thanks in advance for your help
Brett thank you so much for such a concise and good review. I'm bookmarking it for future reference. Also going to subscribe to you for tech do it yourself. Quick question: I want to buy another Samsung S20 and keep as my backup since the S21 no longer have SD card slot. Any downside to it you think other than potentially 5G LTE no longer being supported in the future? (which I would think would be a long time from now). My previous Samsung died on me and if not for my SD card, I would have lost so much info (I don't like to save personal info on the cloud and backing up data all the time is a hassle for me)
I don't see any issues with getting the D20 as a backup. Since newer phones don't support the SD card another option is to use a USB-C Drive and backup your device periodically to it with Smart Switch. Here is the type of drive (Affiliate link): amzn.to/33pQVev
@@TechWithBrett Thanks for the recommendation. It gives me some food for thought. it definitely makes it a lot easier. I was connecting to my pc and it's a pain. But if I were to use it, I would do it the old fashioned way, hook up flash drive to phone and manually back up. Didn't know you could use Smart Switch. I'm going to look up your videos and see if you have any tutorials with Smart Switch and flash drives. Thank you so much!
If I am trying to swap from an older android phone to a new android phone, could I possibly still use the same SIM card from the old phone and put it in the new phone? (they are both LG's)
I'm trying to activate my t mobile lg phone from the beginning and I can't get through the e mail or new phone number are you giving away your old cellphone
What if the phone won't activate? I got a new Sim installed, but it still won't activate. Made calls to my carrier, consumer cellular, but still nothing seems to be helping.
Question; if I buy an unlocked S22 ultra from Samsung will it fully work on TMobile and have all of TMobile bands? I'm hearing yes and no. Can someone tell me the definitive answer please?

I do, can you use the phone regularly just in WiFi with no sim?
The US has weird SIM swapping stuff man. Here we just pop the sim out and swap it, no blank SIMs necessary, but huh
no kidding, we have to do stuff the hard way sometimes...

You can always try but I think you will need to get a new sim.
Did u need a new sim?
If swapping back to a device, like you did at the end, I need to move the Sim card back, correct?
If the old device already has a SIM card that you have used before, it can just use the old SIM card and no need to move it.
