- You join me as I start day two, which doesn't start we'll. I finally leave where I had camped and head off deeper into the Swiss Alps. It was a very hot day but I really enjoyed it and I met a lovely couple too. I don't end up pitching my tent where I wanted to but there was a massive thunderstorm so safety first I had to pitch lower.

Wow Carl, that was some day and night! Fair play for keeping a smile on your face and continuing to film. I bet that pint of beer was a beaut! You captured some awesome drone footage and what an amazing place to be hiking and camping through. Especially with the handy Kronenbourg cooler near your pitch 👍
Thanks Pete, that pint was bloody nice well worth the walk😂 You got to love a outdoor fridge , definitely cooled the beers down after being warm all day😁👍
arl, what an amazing place Switzerland is, you had it all on this one, extreme heat, snow, thunder and lightning and torrential rain. All in one day. Your filming is absolutely amazing, yes we know the scenery is epic, but your drone footage , that is awesome. Please take care of your knee and back buddy. 👍👍👍
Thanks Dave I certainly did have it all in one but woth it for the experience and can't wait to go back next time it will be with work colleagues 😁👍
Great video. I did the Tour du Mont Blanc 33 years ago. Bought back great memories. Found your channel today and watched the East Devon Way. Actually live near Sidmouth and walk most days. So did Harpford Woods today. Havent done that for about 5 years. Many thanks.
Thank you really appreciated and hope you enjoy more of my content. I loved the East Devon way and Im still to complete it. Mont Blanc that's a proper mountain im definitely not fit enough to do that😁👍
This whole place and the surroundings are simply perfect for hiking. Great upload my friend!
Thank you so much, this is by far the most beautiful country ive been too😁👍
Fantastic Carl 👍🏻 Just about to watch Episode 3.
Cheers matey😁👍
Finally got an evening to sit and have a couple of cold ones and catch up ! A wee bit of a damp night !!??
Fantastic video as always Carl !!
Cheers !!
👍👍🌲🌲🌲🇨🇦🍻
Thank you so much Tim, hope you enjoyed the beer's I really do hope some day in the far future we can share a beer together 😁👍
@@Intotheoutdoors69 couldn't agree more Carl !
That looked hard going Carl with a heavy pack and a dodgy back but well done for making it to your camp site. Not sure I'd enjoy being that high up in a storm even with the lovely views 😀. Regards Keith
It was Keith but well worth it. I was so worried about being where I was with a bad back but it turned out ok. Thunderstorm was a bit scary would've rather been in a building but its all part of the experience 😁👍
Ah finally part 2 :D Amazing work hiking and filming all of that, what a beautiful place. I'm relieved you didn't pick that snow up to eat haha
Thanks Oliver, it certainly is amazing absolutely stunning. I did grab loads of snow which thawed out in my bottle which had a bit of warm water in it, I didn't even filter the thawed snow 😁👍
What stunning scenery ,well done in that heat makes it hard going ,I love a good storm but I wouldn't want to be in a tent in it especially on my own scary
It certainly is and was very hard going but I made it. I also love a thunderstorm but rather in a building 😁👍
Great video again, but wow it's never easy! Looks like you made the right decisions though when things took a turn for the worse.... Next up part 3!
Thank you really appreciated and part 4 is now up too😁👍
Loving these films Carl. Busted knee, trodden barefoot on a tent peg, bad back and carrying that pack weight, but still doing walk by shots - you legend. Are you sure you're not part pack mule? 🤣 ATB, John.
Hi John really sorry for the late reply again. J wasn't going to go all that way and let all that stop me doing the walking shots😁👍
I don’t know what to say Carl to be honest the effort you put into making this video is amazing to be honest, the shots you got are breath taking and you walking from camera we’re spot on well done, you have just got into the you tube big league 👍🏻
Thank you so much Lewis really appreciated but im nowhere near the big league, well as far as subs go😁👍
@@Intotheoutdoors69 if you keep putting out videos of that quality I am sure your subs will go up, on these two video you showed a lot of scenery rather than face time like so many are doing now, Kent survival shows over half his videos preparing food and sitting in front of camera eating it, it’s all got rather boring, when I talk to people about the hiking and bushcraft Chanel’s they nearly all say way to much face time now rather than where they are or what they are doing, we as viewers can only watch so many videos of someone eating a sausage or cooking a roast dinner on a camp fire, it’s the scenery and nature that changes with the seasons and the wild life.
Great vid mate the place is stunning I have been there twice bloody expensive though
Thank you and yes very expensive good job I took mgmown food and drink😂😂😁👍
Long time coming these videos.
pile all the snow into your flasks for purification later? It's Free Water!
Sorry about the wait, hopefully the next video will be up over the weekend. I did that and the little bit of water I had left was that warm it thawed the snow really quickly and I just drank it as it was, i can't see that there would be anything harmful in the snow😁👍
Look at you getting snow and sunburn in same video :)
What a fantastic country, you planning on going back in future? I will cathc up with the next part soon mate
yeah bit of a weird one that😂😂 Im hoping to go next year with some colleagues. what happened to watching part 1😁👍
That should be a laugh Carl. I watched part one last week, I think I left a comment !
@straightouttacornwall I will let you off then😂😂😁👍
04:29 that guy is like what the hell is this dude doing with his house on his back 😂
Normally I would agree but I only had a normal size pack even though it was heavy 😁👍
@@Intotheoutdoors69 need to do that pack video of what you carry .
@WildCamper I do but will probably use the new pack more now so will have less in it😁👍
Do you think it would have been a better hike and a lot safer if you didn’t carry all the tins of booze?
Yeah probably 😂 I didn't actually drink that much in the evenings I drank most of it back at the hotel 😁👍
Sorry if I missed this from any other of your vlogs but what camera and drone do you use mate? Fantastic video!
No worries, my camera is the DJI pocket 2 and mg drone is the DJI mini 3 pro😁👍
Thanks pal. Great content. Love it.@@Intotheoutdoors69
@aeroengines1 Thanks mate really appreciated 😁👍
Mate , see your sub level shooting up 🎉 how much was that pint!
Its slowly going up and never thought I would get to 1k let alone nearly 2k although im sure most of the subs dont watch😁👍
@@Intotheoutdoors69 mate I'm 5 something k and less then 2% of my subs watch 🫣
