Very nice, researching these for an outdoor kitchen.

The only thing I see wrong is thread tape on the flex tapered joint. Good job.

Thanks for this video. How long did it end up lasting on a 20lb tank? I've got a wood stove that takes about 1.5 hours to fully heat up, which is a lot of time if I only have a 2-3hr job to do. Looking at one of these to give the heat a kick start.

Im on my 3rd tank. They last about 8Hrs per tank. Im using a Flame King KT12ACR6a auto change over regulator to have 2 tanks at the same time in lower temperatures.

I pulled the trigger on this unit, My building is 24x40 with 9 ft ceilings, I have walls and ceiling insulated. I believe this will heat me well. I noticed you dont have a fresh air run to the heater. ?

II dont have a ceiling so the Gable vents and forced exhaust supply unlimited fresh air.

Winter is setting in, how is this progressing? My building has a hydronic heating system but the concrete slab is not insulated underneath so its quite expensive to use. Considering one of these to replace the hydronic system.

Quite well, its getting down in the 40's around here and about 20 minutes after turning it on, it brings the concrete floor under it up about 10 degrees higher than the surrounding floor, the top of the toolbox under it measure 80 degrees. After about an hour, the whole room warms up about 10 degrees. The downside is that with the bay doors open you must be almost completely under it to get the full effect. I plan on getting an additional 100K BTU model with dual reflectors that will span 22 feet across the bay doors since thats where im mostly working and it should heat up faster.

@@PremiumFuelOnly Sounds usable for sure, especially if you preheated the building prior to using it.
I spoke with a local company today regarding my 36x36x12 building. There is a separate completely finished room that measures 36x10x8. They recommended a two-stage 80k BTU. First stage to maintain temp, second stage to get up to temp. I believe these sunstar units are only single stage.

@@TheeAbstractHero Sounds like 80K should do it. You may want to call Sunstar, they make a 2 stage unit.

Hows is this working out for you? did u end up using another heat run then? Not sure what part of the country you are in...but im n the northeast and it can get bitter cold. some times in the negatives. Im using a 24 x40 pole building to work in with 9 ft ceiling trying to decide how big of one of these to go with. Where did you buy yours may i ask thanks.

Im in the southeast, Its ok but if i had to do it again, i would have went larger, maybe 75k BTU but that would require a larger tank which i havent sourced yet. It rarely gets below 30 here, but i use an additional electric parabolic spot heater when it gets below 40 and that works well. I bought it from Gordo Sales inc, they just drop shipped it from the factory.

@@PremiumFuelOnly did you have to have a license to purchase this? Every where i go they want a license.

@@Dooguy No, no license was requested, atleast not when i ordered from Gordo sales. I think Northern tools sells them as well.
