We are very excited about getting ye olde chrome pen! Meanwhile, Catty can rock the Disney ily 4ever Ursula doll's tentacle knee boots! But not the RH knee boots we tried because they fit her feet and ankles but balloon strangely over her calves. And we have her in the Wild Hearts Crew leopard coat... it's like it was made for her!

Oh they look amazing, so much better! They should have been silver to begin with honestly. I need to do the same as soon as my Catty arrives 💖. For those looking for an alternative pen (if you can't find this particular one) maybe a Posca silver one could work? I were planning to order one of those myself (and they claim to be non toxic and to work on plastic).

It being oil based paint...it wont be "quick" drying. Love what you did with the boots...you were right, leaving the heart...great accent!!

I don't have a silver chrome marker. But I have a gold one & many colored paint pens. I've been painting details on Barbie shoes, belts, etc. Yep, it can look better, but it's hard to just paint the tiny parts you want, & not accidentally get paint on the parts you don't want. Definitely need a silver marker too.
It's quick drying depending on the material it's being used on

I recommend painting the chains black if you don't like the boots being all silver.
I’d probably paint the belts black rather than the chains, but I kinda dig the fully chrome look
Just a precaution, these pens are usually toxic, so make sure to wash your hands quickly! Otherwise happy crafting!

Yes definitely a improvement they really should’ve done a glamorous and outrageous look for her first doll then do a simpler design for her future release like they did in g1 because it just ridiculous how many people are actually doing good restyles for her like I’m glad people are getting creative with their restyles but it should have been the designers top priority to give us a well designed outfit but I do like the plump body just wish a better dress was made to excel it

Ok two questions: 1) What are you using to chrome? cause I tried chroming G1 accessories that were rubbery and it refused to stick (using spray paint) even with a primer, so would *love* to know the exact brand/model you are using to chrome and 2) exactly how long did it take for it to set? Because the *only* way i'm gonna get the new Catty is if I can chrome her up like you did! I *hate* the crappy cheap pink everywhere and the severe lack of glitter on her (love her G1 version) .
Also love how casual your video is - because not all of us are pro's or know what we are doing, and this vid makes me feel like even I can give it another go!

I think her hair would look better down and curly. The ponytail is just lazy to me. It's my go-to hairstyle when I can't do anything much with a doll.
Does it chip easily, like when I repaint boots with acrylic it ends up chipping so I’m seeing my options
I’ll have to update you on that tomorrow once the boots are dry, since the paint is oil it isn’t fully dried yet
